The problem is one of perception, historically and to today, the media's portrayal of Earth's weather has been lame to say the least.
The media have been portraying a picture of the weather largely in the past tense and not reporting the actual developments up in earth's atmosphere that has a great potential to alter people's lives.
The word's they like to use are "rare" or "once in a lifetime ", when some extreme event happens, but extreme is now becoming the new normal.
No amounts of window dressing will disguise the fact that Earth's atmosphere is going to become Mankind unfriendly and that's a fact.
