House Speaker Paul D. Ryan said Thursday the House added back part of the property tax deduction in its revised tax bill.

"We actually added back a $10,000 property tax deduction, in addition to the tax cuts that are in the bill that everybody gets," Mr. Ryan, Wisconsin Republican, said on Fox News.

Mr. Ryan said this deduction is available to everyone, but it will be particularly noticeable to those in high-tax states. The previous version of the bill eliminated all state and local tax deductions. House Republicans from states like New York and California, which have high taxes, threatened to vote against the bill because of this part of the plan.

The House is expected to vote on the bill Thursday after weeks of debate and revisions. Mr. Ryan sounded confident the bill would pass, despite some members' hesitation.

"I feel very good where we're are. We're going to pass this bill," he said.
