The mosquito-transmitted Zika virus that is responsible for some irreversible birth defects in babies could also be harmful to male fertility, a new study suggests. Infected mice had shrunken testicles and lower levels of testosterone.
The virus hits male mice's reproductive system hard, said a
study published Monday in
Nature magazine.
The lab tests run on mice infected with Zika have shown low sperm counts and testicles reduced 90 percent by weight.
That's not yet a reason for men to panic, but already a matter for concern and further studies.
"I think this is an important finding [in mice], but this has to be tested in humans... This virus is from a class of viruses that causes cell death in a lot of cells, so it's not hard to extrapolate that if you had a lot of virus in a tissue for a long period of time, then cells would die. That said, we absolutely don't know what the extent of this will be in humans... The only way to find out is to track men longitudinally," Dr Michael Diamond, of the University of Washington, said in an interview with
The Scientist.
"Don't jump to the conclusion right off that this is definitely what is happening to the human," Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland, told AP. But the mouse finding is a "red flag you need to pursue."
The rodents taking part in the tests were able to impregnate females at one-fourth the normal rate and the litter was less than half the normal number.
The mice's reduced testicles didn't heal even six weeks after the virus was gone from their systems. Some researchers believe the damage could be irreversible.
This is the first time that scientists have pointed to serious Zika dangers for men, as the disease has been mostly associated with the dangers for pregnant women, namely their babies potentially born with microcephaly. In rare cases Zika can also trigger Guillain-Barre syndrome followed by paralysis and leading to death.
Zika found to change human cells
All viruses change human cells. That's how they replicate. This is not anything alarming.
They CDC and it's criminal co-horts couldn't scare people enough with Zika lies so they are adding to the list of Zika can cause or is:
-Deadlier than Ebola
-Is now a STD
-Causes microcephaly
-Has caused the death of 3 people-from Zika related illnesses. Unconfirmed
-Zika causes eye damage and blindness
-Zika causes Guillain-Barre syndrome
-it causes birth defects
-Nearly 100 nerve disorder cases linked to Zika in Colombia - health officials (Lifescript)
-Alzheimers
-there is a newsletter online from Oklahoma that says Zika can cause ZIKA syndrome-undisclosed? What the heck does that mean?
The 2 studies done by the CDC were just atrocious. Here are the conclusions that the studies came to:
The paper: Zika Virus and Birth Defects — Reviewing the Evidence for Causality http://www(dot)nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMsr1604338
says:
1.Zika infections are rare. Birth defects are rare. So: if you have both than ZIKA must cause birth defects.
2. Number of other causes of birth defects researched: 0
3. Traveling to an area with Zika infection than having a deformed baby is also proof. Whether the Mom was diagnosed with Zika or not.
4. Number of other possible causes of deformed babies investigated: 0
5. The study also cites two limited small studies of Zika as proof . One study was of 72 pregnant women with Zika. 12 appeared to have fetal abnormalities. Some findings lacked postnatal confirmation. They don’t say “how many”.
The second study looked at a Zika outbreak in French Polynesia.
1. Number of babies born each year with microcephaly: 2
2. Number of babies born that year with microcephaly: 8
3. Number of other possible causes of microcephaly investigated: 0
4. An increase from 2 to 8 babies born with microcephaly was cited as evidence showing Zika causes birth defects.

SUMMARY OF BOTH STUDY’S PROTOCOLS OR LACK OF:
- Zika was confirmed as the cause without looking into whether that country started any new pesticide programs.
-Zika was confirmed as the cause without looking into whether that country changed their diagnosis of microcephaly. (FYI-they did)
- Zika was confirmed as the cause without looking at whether more babies were diagnosed simply because doctors were told to look for it. (FYI-there were)
- The entire paper cites ZERO SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH that proves Zika causes birth defects.
- You will not find what you are looking for WHEN ALL THE STUDIES AND RESEARCH ARE SPECIFICALLY LOOKING FOR A ZIKA CONNECTION.
-And none of them are looking into other factors for a possible cause.
*****ZIKA IS THE ONLY ANSWER THEY WILL EVER FIND.*****
There have been maybe a hundred studies on the Zika virus since 1947 when it was discovered and is patented by the Rockefeller Foundation: http://www(dot)globalresearch.ca/who-owns-the-zika-virus/5505323.

New England Journal of Medicine Study mentions nothing about infertility. Also, it is know that studies in mice are unreliable in comparisons with humans.
The first major outbreak of Zika virus occurred in April and May 2007 on Yap island, a part of the Federated States of Micronesia in the South Pacific. Of the island’s 7,400 residents, antibodies against Zika were found in 74 percent of the population. No deaths were attributed to ZIKA, and none of the patients were hospitalized. Long-term nerve damage known as Guillaine-Barre Syndrome was reported. In the following year, local health workers reported an increase in cases of microcephaly in newborns, a claim disputed in other reports.
Zika Virus Outbreak on Yap Island, Federated States of Micronesia

74% of people have Zika antibodies and you would think if infertility was an issue on an island that is basically an isolated lab, it would have been known if the birth rate had dropped. Since there was an extensive study done and published in the NEJM, it stands to reason there would be a follow up r at least the inhabitants would be followed for a period of time. Also, Yap is very close to a US Naval research facility so being isolated as it is it would not be out of the realm of possibility that the US has covertly used this island for some human studies. They've done it before.
The Navy released hundred of thousands of Aedes Aegypti mosquito's on Florida & Georgia in 1956 in a human experiment to see how quickly yellow fever could be spread via insect. They military had been looking for way to weaponized insects that won't be traced back to the US to drop on their enemies. Mosquitoes carrying yellow fever would cripple an army and no one could say it was the US.
While Brazil Was Eradicating Zika Mosquitoes, America Made Them Into Weapons
Most of the Western hemisphere was trying to eliminate Aedes aegypti. Why not the U.S.?

This is a government-National Institute of Health paid for study. It's going to show whatever they want it to.
