"We have about 50% of the world's wealth but only 6.3% of its population. This disparity is particularly great as between ourselves and the peoples of Asia. In this situation, we cannot fail to be the object of envy and resentment. Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity without positive detriment to our national security. To do so, we will have to dispense with all sentimentality and day-dreaming; and our attention will have to be concentrated everywhere on our immediate national objectives. We need not deceive ourselves that we can afford today the luxury of altruism and world-benefaction."
~ US State Department, 1948

Don't put that commercial crap from Procter and Gamble (or anyone else, for that matter) in your mouths!
Just simply Google "DIY toothpaste" and you'll find myriad approaches to avoiding such poisons being put into your mouths and bodies. My wife and I made our own system for teeth/oral cleaning, using high quality baking soda as a pre-scrub (gently does it!), then employing a bentonite and other mineral-based concoction to re-mineralize the teeth (Leave it in and swish around for twenty minutes, for best absorption.) Lots of recipes to choose from; try whatever suits your taste and pocketbook.
Home-made soap, shampoo, cosmetics, skin care, hair care and deodorant are all enjoyed in our family. Easy to make, and you really KNOW what is going in and on your body this way. Saves money, too!
Good luck! :-)
