My cholesterol is only 5.3 and 5.0 is OK still they give me these statins. When my cholesterol was about 7.5 I was eating the trans-fats recommended by the medical profession - they call them "unsaturated fats" in the UK, most unsaturated fats are trans-isomer form in practice.
