Washington D.C.- At a news conference held Wednesday, seven retired members of the U.S. Air Force spoke in great detail about over 100 UFO sightings spanning three decades, to the surprise of many in the audience.

"UFO phenomenon is real. Not imaginary," said former launch officer Robert Hastings, as the group of retired Air Force members finally broke their silence after being told to keep silent for years about what they saw.

"One hundred witnesses indicate that craft of vastly superior capabilities have been monitoring the U.S. nuclear arms program since the 1940's."

Hastings and fellow Air Force members said they believe aliens took an interest in the nuclear arms race at the end of World War II, and were ordered at the time to never discuss what they saw.

Now, they added, aliens have finally broken their silence and are warning humans to get rid of the nuclear missiles.

"The appearance of these objects coincided with compromising the operational readiness of our nuclear weapons," said former captain Bob Salas.

According to the Air Force, UFO's would interfere with missiles in the United States and Russia.

However, Hastings said "I don't think humankind is in jeopardy from whoever they are and what their intentions are, except, we will have our minds expanded. There will be a paradigm shift."
