Witness Statement: I don't know if its coincidental but last night 05/8/2010 I was driving up Mortal Ash Hill in Scunthorpe at 23.30 and at the bottom of the hill I could see some lights in the sky that were at the top of the hill. As I drove up they were getting closer and closer but weren't moving. I first thought it was a police helicopter but as I got closer I knew it wasn't. It was triangular with red and purple lights on either end, it was hovering around 100ft in the air above the road but above the trees.

At one point I stopped on the top of the carriage way and the object was above me. I drove off a little bit weary of being in the middle of the road and went to pull into the layby which was around 100 metres away and when I got there, the object had completely vanished. There was no noise coming from it and there was nothing in the sky either way and it certainly wasn't a plane!!!
