Location of Sighting: Burnham On Crouch, Essex

Time: 10.00 pm

Witness Statement: We were both standing outside at the Burnham on Crouch Rugby club at a party so I could have a cigarette.( I would also point out I had not consumed any alcohol as I was driving). Keith had 2 bottles of Budweiser. Then we both saw an orange light moving very fast across the sky . As it went overhead I made out a shadow which looked bell shaped with a huge orange light underneath which was constant and never flickered. It disappeared into cloud and then was gone in a matter of a minute maybe two at most.

There was no way it was a plane it was too big and the light was too bright and moving too fast. Nor was it a helicopter or a comet as it did change direction very fast. Neither of us can explain what we saw. If anyone else saw it tonight would be great to know.
