RCMP say it's not clear whether there are any other snowmobilers are unaccounted for and a search is underway in the latest avalanche.
Unconfirmed reports state one person has possibly died and several others buried by an avalanche Friday afternoon in Eagle Pass, 20 km west of Revelstoke.
Search and rescue crews out of Revelstoke were reportedly dispatched to the area.
Canadian Avalanche Centre officials said the risk of triggering avalanches in the pass was considerable and that care should be taken.
On March 13, two Alberta men were killed at Boulder Mountain near Revelstoke when a slide caught them and dozens of onlookers after snowmobilers ran their machines up a steep slope.
