Location of Sighting: Llanharan, South Wales, UK

Witness Statement: We saw a bright steady orange light in the sky moving West to East at a high speed. The Sky was clear and bright with a nearly full moon The object was making no sound. Cardiff airport is near by but we are used to seeing aircraft from there and this was nothing like anything we have ever seen. I am John an ex Royal Air Force Aircraft Engineer of 22 yrs and now works in the Civil Aircraft Industry 5 yrs. I know a plane at night when I saw one and this was no plane or light configuration that I had ever seen before. No nav lights or High intensity strobes were seen.
