Witness Statement: Myself and 3 friends were driving back from a new years eve party, we had been working and none of us had been drinking, as we were driving through the centre of Great Malvern near "The Mountpleasant Hotel" I noticed a strange orange ufo in the sky heading towards us. I stopped the car and we all got out to look at it. There were at least 2 pedestrians that saw it too. It was traveling from northeast to southeast, very fast (for a plane) but steady, it's direction didn't change while we were observing it. It was orange in colour and it looked like it might have been surrounded by flames as bits seemed to be dropping off it.

It was a still night and we could hear no sound emanating from the object. We watched it for about 5 minutes, we then saw it later after having travelled about 7 miles (as we looked back). We have assessed that it was quite a large object, no discernible wings or such, just an orange glowing shape, one of our party thought it looked a bit triangular but I didn't notice that. This was certainly no chinese lantern!!
