Location of Sighting: Bury St Edmunds
Date of Sighting: 21.12.2009
Time: 8.30pm

Witness Statement: We were traveling down Westley Road, out of Bury St Edmunds, myself and partner and two kids. It was quite a cloudy night, and I spotted two orange lights (NOT CHINESE LANTERNS). They were separate at the time and were just there in the clouds, not moving, just sort of stuck there. I pointed them out to my partner, who could see them also, we both realised that this was not a plane or not just some random lights in the sky, there was something very different about them, as if they had a purpose. We both watched them for about 2-3 mins and then they slowly closed together in a way that I can only describe as machine like, accurate and precise. The light then stayed there for a couple of seconds and then slowly faded away.

There were not other lights in the sky and it was too cloudy to see any stars, we both commented on how we had never seen anything like that before and knew straight away that this was very unusual... Just hoping someone in the Bury St Edmunds area spotted it also....
