Maryland, August 1, 2009 - Unknown Aerial Vehicle. MUFON Case
# 18440.
Maryland MUFON State Director Ron Fink was enroute to Carroll County Airport after attending a Maryland MUFON meeting, and noticed an odd object in the sky, stopped his vehicle, and took photos.
He states that the object was hovering at between 1,500 and 2,000 feet, and that it had four distinct protrusions. Fink then followed the silent object about 3 miles.
During this time, he estimates the object was moving at about 30 mph, and was on a "a straight line trajectory at times motionless consistently ascending."
As a commercial jet approached, the "object just vanished."

Pennsylvania, July 26, 2009 - I saw a bright orange ball of light approach the front of my house at approx 1000 ft. MUFON Case
# 18424.
A Pennsylvania witness first saw a bright orange light in the sky approximately 1 to 3 miles away and flying at an altitude of 1,000 feet. As the object got closer, "the light appeared to be a fire ball flying at about the same speed of a landing jet plane except with no noise." The witness thought he was looking at an aircraft on fire, but there were "no wings, running lights, or tail and there was still no sound." Once the witnesses' wife joined him, "the fire was out revealing only a dark object flying almost vertical now and gaining altitude fast it became nothing but a black dot against an open break in the clouds overhead. It leveled off in a east direction and disappeared over a cloud. All this happened without a sound." The witness are 5 miles from Northeast Philadelphia Airport.
Arkansas, July 30, 2009 - orange top white bottom. MUFON Case
# 18425.
This Arkansas witness stopped his vehicle to get a better look at a "capsule-shaped object in the sky. He said it was orange colored on top, and white on the bottom, and appeared "fuzzy." He said it appeared to be floating "like a balloon," but steady. As the object came toward him, it stopped and reversed direction. He drove home and got family members to come outside and look at it. His son described the object as an "orange and white tear drop object."
Utah, July 15, 2009 - Three lights taken by investigator, 2nd sighting in 2 weeks, while on jet, over Utah, Colorado? MUFON Case
# 18428.
A witness flying home from Las Vegas on July 15 took a photo out a port side window of " three bright lights flying in a pyramidal pattern up from the horizon." He says he made a report of a similar object seen near the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah on July 27, 2009 (MUFON Case # 18413). The witness sized the image down before uploading, so I'm not posting it here as I cannot identify where these lights are in the small image. The witness is a member of Illinois MUFON.

Michigan, August 1, 2009 - Round object with lines of light around it. MUFON Case
# 18429.
This Michigan witness saw what he first thought was a bright star - but feels that the object was too big to be a star.
"It looked like it had a smaller circle of light in the center and spikes of light all around it. It looked like one of those sun's that children draw with a circle and the lines coming out all around it." He had his wife take the photograph. "It looked exactly like this without all the colors before she pressed auto levels, though."
Nevada, July 31, 2009 - Super bright white light with red twinkle effect. MUFON Case
# 18432.
A Nevada witness noticed a "very bright light" just east of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Watching through binoculars, the object "just hung in the sky." The witness said "this light was much brighter than the moon or any other object in the sky." He went inside to show the object to his wife, but as he reviewed the object through a window with his binoculars, "the bright white "ball" vanish right before my eyes." This is the second similar object he has seen in one week. He and his wife also reported the same object last October. "I'm surprised that nobody else from my area has reported this strange 'light in the sky.' We are very close to Lake Tahoe, and I have to wonder if the lake has something of interest to ETs." The witness says he'll be watching the sky closely for the next several weeks - with a camera in hand this time.
Virginia, August 1, 2009 - Slow moving white cigar shaped above Busch Gardens moving slowly. MUFON Case
# 18434.
A Virginia witness driving along Route 60 near the intersection of 199 near Busch Gardens, saw a slow moving object traveling over Interstate 64 near the Navy supply base and the York River. The witness states that the object was at about a 2,000-foot altitude, the size of a jumbo jet, with no wings and making no sound. The object is described as a "single cylinder, white and shiny with a broad light (spot light) in the bow/front that moved and gave the image of multiple lights at once." Even though it was daylight, he said the "light was intense almost like a mirror reflector." By the time he parked and was ready with a camera, the object had moved away. Now he wonders - with a packed Busch Gardens - if there are other witnesses.
Pennsylvania, April 14, 2009 - Round bright white w/ red, blue and green lights. MUFON Case
# 18435.
A Pennsylvania witness "saw a rotating bright white ball of light w/ red, blue and green lights. It appeared as though it was rolling up hill just above the treeline on the property next to ours, northwest to southeast. It moved quickly and then it was out of my sight line." The object was the size of a basketball and was silent.
Illinois, August 1, 2009 - triangular with bright lights. MUFON Case
# 18436.

The object in this sighting is described as a triangle, with a bright light in the middle, possibly red/orange, with lighter lights on the edges, hovering, and "hovering in circles." The witness says the object has been seen since fall of 2008 in his area and at his family home in Chebanse/Clifton.The object is sometimes seen about 8:30 p.m.
California, February 14, 2009 - it was a bright beam of light. MUFON Case
# 18438.
A family camping in California between Edwards Air Force Base and China Lake Air Force Base, had an unusual experience with a beam of blue light. While the father and son were standing together, the son says a beam of bluish light hit his chest and face. He then looked up, saw a light, and the beam hit him again, and only him. The son says that "at the time of the flash there was a 'clicking' noise, the light was about 20-30 feet high, but it was like 1,200 yards out so it could have been higher, it was so bright that it was like lookin into the sun for a short amount of time."
California, July 27, 2009 - It looked like it had a round body with a boomerang sitting on top of it. MUFON Case
# 18443.
This West Roseville, California, witness and his wife were watching a plane pass over, when they noticed "an object hovering in the sky, completely stationary. I estimate it was about 2 miles up considering the plane that passed by was significantly lower, but I can't be sure." The object was described as white/silver, was completely still for about 10 minutes, and then it slowly moved off in a northwest direction. Nothing showed up on the photos they took.
Michigan, July 31, 2009 - orange object moving north slowly and silently. MUFON Case
# 18444.
A couple vacationing in Michigan "noticed an orange object moving towards" them. After calling other family members out to watch, the object moved overhead. They described the object as "round to oval and the light it emitted was definitely orange. The center of it had solid color whereas the outer area appeared diaphanous and pulsing a bit, this effect went away when the object was directly above and as it went away to the north with the shape becoming smaller and round till it was just a dot of orange the size of a star." They said the "object would have been traveling along the eastern coast of Lake Michigan." They are hoping more witnesses come forward.
Kentucky, July 24, 2009 - a solid white light moved silently and quickly across the horizon and was met by another who moved together. MUFON Case
# 18445.
This Kentucky witness was night fishing when he "saw a bright white light travel across the sky quickly and quietly from northwest to the southeast. Another object of the same appearance rose up and met it from the east and they traveled together until out of sight." The witness said these were "solid lights that were just white and did not blink. They also moved faster than planes and made no sound. I also noticed two bright streaks across the sky that were moving horizontally they looked like falling stars moving sideways from west to east."
