Date of Sighting: 14th July 2009
Time: 11.20pm

Witness Statement: My fiance and I were outside having a cigarette when we heard the sound of a helicopter which we knew from the sound of it's engine was not the police helicopter. We started to scan the sky as it was getting closer but we couldn't yet see it. At this point we saw the brightest white light heading East. It was following a definite course, too low to be a satellite or space junk and was closely followed by.....the helicopter! The helicopter appeared to be hanging back at a lower altitude but was very obviously following the light .

The light moved silently, shining so bright that it streaked at the edges (you know how stars do that streaking and we draw it as 'points' on a star).

They continued East.
