Date of Sighting: 28/6/09
Time: between 22:20 -22:30

Witness Statement: I went to back door to check it was locked and noticed an unusual coloured ( orangish ) light moving towards me ( southbound ). I opened the door and went outside and there was no engine noise, the wind was calm and the light turned 90 degrees to the west, heading towards Manchester International Airport, ascended and disappeared. I was about to go back inside when another light came from exactly the same direction, at the same altitude took exactly the same turn ( to re-iterate the wind was calm ) ascended and disappeared.

I work at Manchester Airport so I know what an aircraft in flight looks and sounds like . however there were no flashing lights at all, and no noise from either of these two lights. Although they did take the exact flight path towards the airport.
