Kosmo! reported that Tanjung Sepat in Selangor and Sungai Petani, Kedah are said to be the places with the most sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

It also said 140 cases of UFOs were seen in Malaysia during the past 30 years.

Amateur UFO enthusiast Ahmad Jamaluddin, who has studied the phenomenon since 1978, claimed that UFOs had been seen in Malaysia usually at night.

He added that the UFOs would be seen in waves about every 10 years, with the last major sighting made in 2001.

However, National Space Agency science officer Zulhabibullah Ismail said there is still no scientific proof that UFOs existed.

He said reports of UFOs that were seen in Perak, Johor and Kelantan turned out to be parachutes, weather balloons, comets or meteors.
