A Virginia man watched a silent and low flying triangular-shaped UFO with seven lights on March 7. A Connecticut man and his sister witnessed a bright light UFO at the tree line zigzagging in the sky on March 3, then saw it shining a light to the ground for about 40 minutes before disappearing. Twenty minutes later a triangular-shaped UFO arrived at the tree line - and then a third object appeared. In California on March 5, a witness watched two white orbs moving in the sky - then saw three jets scrambling toward them, a transport helicopter and two black helicopters followed.

Other reports from around the country include bright light reports from New York, Iowa and Arizona; four clusters of orange lights over Arizona, a sonic boom heard over Neveda, a traingular-shaped UFO over Florida, a strange hovering craft with wings over Pennsylvania, four lights over Texas, and two bright balls of lights over California and Florida.

These UFO reports are from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database. Their unedited accounts follow.
Virginia: March 7, 2009 - Very large, blue and orange lights, Triangle 200 yards across

I was on my farm in the Comers Rock section of Elk Creek Va. I looked toward the flat ridge area of the Jefferson National Forest. Hovering over the ridgeline was an extremely large triangle shaped craft. It had a total of seven lights. Two on each side at the rear were light blue as was the one in the front. The two behind the front were distinctly orange. This craft was completely silent. The object turned toward my direction and came across the valley. Using landmarks the object came as close as 1/4 of a mile from my location. It hovered again for about fifteen seconds and then shot off to the North towards the town of Speedwell at a speed that can best be described as instant and was gone.

At its closest point to me I could feel a heavy feeling like if you walked from air conditioning outside to a very hot and humid day.

I have held a job that was in the air defense industry. I am very well trained at identifying flying objects. This was not an airplane, nor did it have a jet or propeller engine. The turn that it made when it shot off would have torn the wings from any man made aircraft that we know of. Residents of this area have seen strange military aircraft flying at night for many years and this was not one of them. If this is an American military craft I will sleep much better at night because we will have nothing to fear from any military in the world.

Connecticut: March 3, 2009 - A triangular shape object was moving up and down and zig zaging let to right seemed to b beeming light to the ground

I was parked in the parking lot of Winchester Lake with my sister talking when out above the tree line directly in front of us we saw this object it wasn't a star because it was below the cloud cover it was very cloudy out and it wasn't acting like anything I have ever seen before. This object was moving up and down and zig zagging it was just a bright light we watched it do this for about 10 minutes when it started to look like it was either shining a beam of light to the ground or dropping something we watched this go on for about 40 minutes until it disapeared.

It had to be about 20 minutes later from below where we saw the first object we watched this bright light come out from above the tree line It rose very fast into the sky and then just hovered there for about 30 seconds that's when I noticed that this object was the shape of a triangle and three lights on each end of the object.it then started to move right where we where parked and then it disappeared out of no where above this field. I have never seen anything like this and it was terrifying to tell you the truth. And then about fifteen minutes later from that another object came from the same spot we just saw another one and it acted in the same behavior but this one took off to the left following the tree line around the lake until that one disappeared. I wish I had a camera or even just a pair of binoculars because I did not believe in what I was seeing I have know idea what the hell was going on in the sky last night.

California: March 5, 2009 - 2 white orbs 10 seconds apart following same path and disappearing, military presence heavy surrounding

While at work in a small warehouse where I often work outside, I was outside the bay door sitting on the forklift having a smoke. I saw something leaving a vapor trail in the distance so I focus on this object which I determined to be a military jet by its shape and speed, it was going extremely fast west to east. I was about halfway through my smoke so I continued and I saw another of the same aircraft on a slightly more southern trajectory same speed and vapor trial.

I am for whatever reason more observant than most of the skies (I work in aerospace and find aircraft interesting) so I know what level and style of activity to expect in this area of sky. What I saw was odd so the southwest portion of sky had my full attention at this point, that is when I saw a white orb drop down from about 45 degrees above horizon and move in a parabolic curve in proportion to the letter 'J' and disappear, this appearance lasted about 20 seconds. About 10 seconds later I saw the same exact thing happen, orb appeared did a J move and vanished. The coloring was eggshell white, I can't say that it was glowing because it was a clear sunny sky but it was not reflective either, just white with some texture or faint shadowing. About a minute later 3 more jets were scrambled followed by a transport helicopter (double rotor) all west to east. I had to go back to work but I kept my eye on the sky the rest of the day and assorted military helicopters and intersecting vapor streaks in the sky, lastly black helicopters maybe 2 patrolling near and far. At 11:30am a C130 was observed on a more north eastern path.

It was an odd thing for me, as much as I was looking up during this time, to not see any commercial aircraft. The first commercial flight I saw starting at 10:45am was not until 1:30pm. This sighting took place between the John Wayne airport and the Naval Weapons station, closer to the station. The only sounds I heard were from the choppers. Only other thing I can think to say is about myself. I have perfect eyesight, never had to go to an optometrist. I know I did not see a seagull or balloon or other common object. Father was in the military and worked aerospace (Pan-Am, Sperry, Honeywell). I am now in the aerospace industry, point being I'm above average in aircraft awareness. I have no evidence photographic or otherwise. So hopefully you can pull up radar stats or something from one of the nearby facilities or at least tell me someone else saw some of that activity. Please contact me via email, if you are interested I am willing to give you a call for phone interview. Thanks for caring
New York - March 6, 2009 - A bright light appeared above the rooftops and traveled extremely quickly toward the horizon, but disappeared before reaching it.

I woke up in the middle of the night and went out on the front steps of the house to smoke as I always do. I have made it a habit to look up at the night sky when I do this because I'd like to see some of these unidentified objects so many people have reported. While I stood there, a bright light the size of a planetary object or very large star appeared over and just beyond the rooftops of my neighbors' houses as I was facing south and slightly west. It zoomed across my field of vision in a more southwesterly direction and blinked out of existence, as best I could tell, rather than disappearing behind the distant hills. The entire sighting lasted less than 10 seconds. We have many airplanes, jets and helicopters going over our area all the time, but this light could not have been one of these as it moved much more rapidly than any of the aforementioned aircraft. The object moved from north to south in a westerly path and disappeared in 5-10 seconds. I didn't have much time to think about what the object was but I have been trying to find out if it could have been a meteor. This seems to me to be the mostly explanation to fit description of the bright object and its movements. Other than being a shooting star, I can't imagine what it could have been. I was happy to have seen this object, since it meant all that looking up at the night sky (while standing out on the front porch steps to smoke and keep my cigarette smoke from stinking up the house)had finally had results. I don't mind if it was only a meteor because I don't remember ever having seen one of those in my life, but if it was an exterrestrial craft or top-secret aircraft, that would be even cooler.

Iowa - March 4, 2009 - Bright, white light. Did not blink. Fast moving from northwest to southeast.

Went outside to drive to work, looked up at the sky and saw a large, bright, white light that did not blink moving quickly and silently through the sky. Lost sight of the object when it moved behind a tree and disappeared. We are not sure what it was. To big and bright to be a satellite like we see through our telescope. Very visible with the naked eye, it seemed to gradually move faster and faster

Arizona - March 6, 2009 - 7:43 pm, very bright light in the sky

My boyfriend, my mother, and myself were outside letting our new puppy go pee. I look up and there was this extremely bright light in the sky (not Venus!) so I point it out to them. It was quite low and to the West. I went inside to grab the camcorder (sadly no tape; was using to zoom in). It was blurry, but looked very odd up close. When I looked back up, it disappeared, then reappeared slowly through the clouds. Then came a little closer, zig zagged then completely went away. Total time was about 10 minutes. This is the 3rd time this has happened over the past month each being in a different spot / same time range. It is no plane, or anything like that as it hovers. Others have seen it too, I know since I read some of the recent reports.

I am receiving tapes for my video camera so I will send those in if this ever happens again. This really is an amazing sight.

Arizona - March 5, 2009 - 4 different clusters of orange lights in the night sky

I have been seen these lights on 3 different occasions(2/23/09,3/3/09,and 03/05/09), this sighting was by far the strangest. In the night sky were four sets of lights. These lights were grouped in sets of two, three and four. The lights glowed intensely and would blink on and off in order. The set of four lights were moving south over Buckeye toward the desert between I-10 and I-8. These four lights blinked off only once in a hour period of time(when 6 fighter jets from Luke went toward them). As the jets reached the lights they went out one by one. They returned about two minutes later when the jets flew off. There were another two sets of three lights over I-10 to the west. These lights were also moving south at an even slower pace. The last lights were a set of two(like I had seen on the first two nights). These lights were due west on the north side of I-10 and moved up and down over the hour. These four sets of lights were all over populated areas. I have heard that flares are dropped for testing over the Barry M. Goldwater test range, and this is the reason for the sightings in the Phoenix area. The problem with this theory is that none of the lights were even close to the range. Also these lights moved together, there was no smoke coming from them, and they held altitude for an hour.

Nevada - March 5, 2009 - Sonic Boom

Well I was playing online poker with my girlfriend when out of nowhere we heard a big boom that I actually ducked for cover it was so loud. At first we thought it was something in our apartment or the neighbor fighting, but when we went outside to see a lot of people were asking, "Did you just hear that?" I asked a lady walking her dog and she said she heard it from right above us and asked if I had known of any buildings getting imploded that night. I said, "No it would have been in the newspaper for that." That night I looked in the news to see if anything that had exploded close or in the city that night and found nothing. The next day I went to work at McCarran International Airport and asked someone I know that works the night shift in the control tower and he said we had nothing in the skies capable of flying that fast the night before. So that left me puzzled, because so many people heard it and had had no clue what was flying over Las Vegas that night.

Florida - March 6, 2009 - Sighting of Triangle shaped ufo during launch of Kepler telescope

I live approximatley 7 miles west of Cape Caneveral AFS. I watch all of the satellite and shuttle launches from my front yard.

Last night, Mar 6 2009, I was watching the launch of the Kepler Telescope. While looking at the launch vehicle, I noticed a triangle shape of lights, flickering on and off, on the left side, north of the rocket.

I had forgotten my camera, so I went inside and returned with it. When I pointed my video camera at this object, my camera did not focus, it showed a warning light to take the lens cap off, it was hanging down on it's string. I could not get any pictures or video. This object was in this position for approx 20 mins. Then I became concerned and went inside. Have you had any other reports from this area?

Pennsylvania - March 3, 2009 - 2 coworkers saw a strange "airplane" hovering silently nearby and at a low altitude

Two of my coworkers, a man and woman probably in their mid-50s, both said they saw a strange aircraft hovering at a low altitude along a state highway between Summerville and Hawthorn, Pennsylvania, around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

"Bill" said he was traveling south along State Route 28 toward our workplace in New Bethlehem and was passing through an open area known as the Shannondale Flats when he saw what he described as a strange "plane" flying low above the highway up ahead which appeared to be either about to crash or land in the open field to his left. Based on his estimate of his distance from the craft as it traveled toward him, it was probably about 20 to 30 feet from the edge of the highway and 100 to 200 feet off the ground when it stopped its descent and hovered stationary. Bill said the plane stopped dead, "as if he had a stop sign." At that point, Bill's truck was nearly adjacent to the object's position alongside the road. His driver's side window was down and he could hear no noise coming from the vehicle.

Bill slowed down but did not stop as he passed the craft, and he watched it in his rearview mirror as it hovered in the same position for several seconds. Just before he lost sight of it as he crested the top of a hill, less than a minute later, Bill saw the vehicle rotate to its right about 90 degrees, as if on a vertical axis.

He was somewhat vague concerning the size, but I get the idea that the thing was about the size of a small- to medium-size airplane. The entire craft was dark gray with no apparent markings. Bill stated he didn't see any windows or cockpit, but the vehicle had at least two swept-back wings and two similar appendages that he said looked like they may have been wings also, although he wasn't sure. Bill also noted that the vehicle had an odd rear end, "like it had a spoiler on it."

"Marcy" was also traveling south along Route 28 at around 2:30 p.m. on her way to work, but she was a few miles behind Bill. She first spotted the same craft, or one similar to it, sitting stationary in the air low over the town of Summerville about a mile off to her left. Marcy described the craft as completely gray with "rounded" wings and a tail that was "shaped like a T." She said that it's general shape was that of a strange-looking airplane, and it appeared to tilt slowly from side to side as it hovered. She noted that she found the sight "kind of scary" and wondered what it was doing there.

Within about a minute, Marcy lost sight of the craft as she started up a hill. Then, when she reached the top of the hill, she again saw the same or a similar craft much closer hovering just a short distance ahead of her car and a ways off the road. I got the impression that the distance from her car to the craft at this point is about the same distance as the beginning of Bill's sighting, perhaps a little further away. Marcy also noted that she could not hear any sound coming from the vehicle. This view of the craft lasted less than a minute before Marcy lost sight of it due to hills and trees.

On Thursday I brought in a picture of a couple different Harrier jets to work and showed them to both of the witnesses. They said the vehicle they saw didn't look like any kind of fighter plane they had ever seen and that it had no visible engines or propellers.

I tried to locate pictures online of other vertical-takeoff or hovering planes, but was unable to find anything that matched the witnesses' description. If anyone can find something like that, I would be very interested to find out what this thing was. After talking to these people I have no doubt that they are describing, as best they can, some flying, hovering aircraft they actually saw on their way to work.

Texas - March 8, 2009 - Low flying lights in night clouds

I live in a housing community that's in the country; so there is a neighborhood and a 2 lane paved road connecting it to a highway. This event happened while leaving the neighborhood.

I left the neighborhood at 4:25 am, and had just started down the road. It was a very bright night, mostly due to the moon it seemed. It was warm out, windy and there were a lot of low moving clouds. It wasn't raining or storming, but had that sort of feel. It was nice enough out that I rolled down my window, I was heading north so the moon was on the drivers side.

I looked up to see the moon and sky when I saw 4 lights that seemed to be attached to each other; although I could not see any form holding them together. They were as bright as the moon was and seemed to be fairly low, my guess is that they were under 400 feet in altitude. The color of the light was a white/blue. They didn't change color and resembled a bright light at a stadium. If the lights were all connected and it was 1 object, it would have been a very large object. My guess is that the area they covered was about half a football field. My perspective may not have allowed me to see the entire object.

The first time I saw the lights I returned my eyes to the road and thought it was just a reflection in the window. Then I realised, the window was down and looked up again to see the exact same lights; this time with a bit of a startle. I relaxed and looked up a 3rd time, but then it was gone. I didn't see it fly off or move away; although I was also trying to watch the road. I returned back down the road about an hour later and saw nothing.

California - March 7, 2009 - bright ball went very fast through clouds. brighter then lightning.

I went outside for a smoke in morning. I was looking up in sky and I saw a bright ball. go from very low altitude speeding above clouds diagonally.

Right after I felt like I got knocked by my head I almost fell down. And when I looked up at that area many tiny tiny dots of ball was everywhere. there were tiny balls moving all over place with some with inner black dots those once moved in a straight path.

I felt like I was sleeping or I was drugged. I was amazed by all the colors going everywhere. after about a minute I came back to my mind and started looking around for it but it was gone.

Florida - March 6, 2009 - huge glowing orange/red round object with a fire trail, smaller object with blinking lights behind it

I was out in the middle of the street with my dog. It is a very clear night.I saw this bright glowing object above the tree line coming towards me...it was low. I thought at first maybe it was a helicopter but there was no sound, it seemed to be coming towards me, I looked around to see if anyone else was out to see this...no one was, so I quickly ran inside and yelled for my son to come out. I was only gone for about 10 seconds and by the time we got outside,,,,it was gone! But, far,far in the distant sky we saw the faint glow of it with the blinking lights behind it. It disappeared that distance in seconds! I knew at the time, it was nothing I had ever seen before.
