OF THE
TIMES
Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well... You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect...
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

Q: Why is the sky glowing red?
A: Contemplate.
Q: Of course! Comet dust! Sure, everybody knows THAT! Wonderful!!! Anything further?
"They found that a major fire had burned in 1780 affecting atmospheric conditions hundred of miles away. "
"Large smoke columns were created and carried into the upper atmosphere"
"midday meals by candlelight, night birds coming out to sing, flowers folding their petals, and strange behavior from animals."
I read in the news that large dust clouds were swept over Europe from Sahara -white clouds casting distinct shadows onto the dust layer below - are dimming out the sun a little and causing color changes in the sky.
Umm.. If multiple comets enter in the atmosphere and hit the ground and destroy multi-story buildings (with vulnerable piping for rock-gas heating), destroy fuel stations, set fire anything flammable, forests included.. could there be massive dark clouds rising and quite a lot of ash in the air, severely inhibiting breathing. What if it lasts weeks or months? No gas or electricity, no sunlight (cold), insufficient drinking water (no water pumps working so bottled mineral water is in high demand). Ash covers crop fields and animals have difficulty breathing. Hungry people hunting for food.
Fun Over.
