A teenage boy in Serbia survived an electric shock of 25,000 volts when he climbed on top of a train to get his football back.

Doctors said it was a "miracle" Damir Minarivic, 14, was still alive after he was blasted by the high voltage charge.

He clambered on top of the train and touched overhead electricity cables which power local trains at a station in the north Serbian village of Cerevic.

Damir was taken to hospital after passengers who saw what had happened called an ambulance.

Doctors said he has suffered severe burns but is now recovering.
