What this is is game theory. Instead of not knowing what the competition might do, we don't know what the planet might do.
He also leaves off something important from his simplified grid. Column A "yes, take action" should have global depression in both rows. If taking action means that there will be global depression if there is no global warming, then it would also include global depression if there IS global warming. Instead, he only puts a smiley face in that grid cell.
In other words, a key bit of the complexity he has left out is whether there is any action we can take that would keep us from the catastrophes mentioned in column B. It could well be that taking action (whatever that might be) would not only still leave us in the midst of catastrophe, but would also leave vast proportions of the population powerless to help themselves.

There is a way of forcing the audience to pick a specific card in a card trick, called Magician's Choice. With that, the audience is not really given any choice at all, only the appearance of one.

What I see as the flaw in the presentation is that the columns that he puts up is in regard to whether Climate change is human caused. At least that is what he initially says. When he answers the question as false it is in regard to whether climate change is real and not as he initially stated whether human caused climate change is real. There is a big difference.! OSIT
The initial preview of the report by the IPCC that got aired in December 2006 stated that humans contribute less than 20% to Global warming. If that is so, then taking action directed by the pathocracy is not a healthy option.
