Like every other "official" theory, I think that there are some big problems with this one too.

This comment can also be used to support the expanding earth theory. Did you know that the continents fit together like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, very neatly, on a globe that is 60 % smaller, excluding oceans.
It is important to remember that plate techtonics is just a theory. Expanding earth is another theory which in my opinion is worth considering also as it explains things which plate techtonics can not.
