412 bombardments, an injured soldier of the Armed Forces of the DPR, the village of Zaytsevo without energy, firefights on the outskirts of Spartak, and a lack of shells in the UAF - thus passed the 296th day of the "ceasefire."

Ukrainian punishers shelled the territory of the DPR 412 times, launching 130 mortars of 120 mm and 160 of 82 mm. Infantry fighting vehicles were also used in addition to shelling, along with grenade launchers and small arms. Zaytsevo, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Zhabichevo, Spartak, Sakhanka, Mineralnoe, and the Petrovsky district of Donetsk were subjected to the fiercest attacks of the enemy. One militiaman was wounded.

The fighting on the fronts of Donbass that unfolded on June 22nd, 2016 were commented on by the militiaman with the call-sign "Zodiac," who drew parallels to the tragic events of 1941:
"It is not at all ridiculous that some comrades have drawn parallels between the events of June 22nd, 1941 and today's situation. As if we were in 1941, at 4:00 in the morning on June 22nd, 2016, we heard the roar of planes and artillery of the UkroWerhmacht. As is usual, the evening began with mortar and small arms fighting in the Kominternovo district, at the airport, Spartak, Yasinovataya, and north of Gorlovka. Not too long ago we got a call from Marinka, and there the evening disco also began with machine gun and mortar fire and the icing on the cake: infantry fighting vehicles. In general, this is a standard evening in Novorossiya, with the exception of action on the font in Pervomaisk district."
Overall, the day passed quietly only for fights to begin in the evening. After midnight, the Yasinovataya checkpoint was rustled. The positions of the armed forces of the DPR were shot at by the UAF from self-propelled artillery, and they also shot at several units. Following the shelling of this hot spot on the map of hostilities, the UAF began hitting Makeyevka. According to information from local residents, Gvardeyka was hit by enemy shells.

Then a tense night was spent in the northern district of Gorlovka. Around midnight, the UkroNazis shelled Zaytsevo in the area. They fired from their positions in occupied Zhovanka. In the village, the power lines were broken and many houses have been left without energy. A firefight occurred next to Mayorsk, while the northwestern outskirts of Gorlovka were shelled by the Kiev punishers from Dzerzhinsk with tanks and heavy artillery. Mortars and automatic grenade launchers were also fired.

Donetsk endured a restless night. Firefights between the armed forces of the DPR and the UAF took place during the night at Spartak and Zhabunkov. West of the republic's capital, enemy artillery struck the suburb of Truvdovskie.

The situation in the south of the republic remains tense. Kiev punishers are attacking Sakhanka and Kominternovo. On the outskirts of the residential area, positional firefights took place all night.

The residents of Mariupol are tired of the tyranny of the UAF and the Azov battalion. Here is what one resident from the seaside town wrote:
"Guys, how much can be tolerated? I live in Mariupol and I am in shock! Bandits from the punitive Azov battalion are erecting totems to Perun. Who allowed these dogs to boss around our city? Who gave these dogs the right to set their own rules? What's next? Will there be human sacrifices with beheadings for everyone who doesn't "love the motherland" or say "glory to Ukraine" ??? I beg you to liberate our city from these Nazis. I will do everything possible as a partisan, and as soon as you liberate the city I'll join the ranks of the militia! I am ready to go even to Kiev or even America! They don't deserve a chance, they don't deserve Minsk. It's impossible to believe in a country which in its time was torn apart by Poland, and then Germany. I understand that war is tactics and calculation, but I think some of our 'strategists' have not once, but twice gravely miscalculated! We are all waiting for the day of liberation from the Ukrainian heel! Mariupol is waiting!"
Not everything is going smoothly in the ranks of the punishers. The UAF complains not only about discipline and clashes between soldiers and the militants of Nazi battalions, but also about a lack of ammunition.
