That's a lot of research and a lot of data points to accumulate in order to piece together events on earth unimaginably long ago.
It is an event that I have seen virtually no data about from any other source than earth science.
I have some other data sources for events dating back roughly 60 to 80 million years ago. But this older one seems to be a blank in most memory banks. It is interesting to note that the earth itself did, however, retain some record of those much older events. I wonder if we will ever develop a technology for extracting more detail about events from matter that we know experienced them. A certain "phonograph record" effect may be possible which could store data that could conceivably be "played back" much later.
