New study finds entire spoonful of microplastics in people's brains โ€” and 3 times as much in those with dementia

polyethylene
© University of New MexicoThe most common type of microplastic found in brains studied was polyethylene.
Your brain is 99.5% brain tissue โ€” but the rest? Plastic.

That's the unsettling takeaway from a new study co-lead by Matthew Campen, who found microplastics in human brains at far higher levels than other organs. Even more troubling, these tiny particles are accumulating rapidly, having increased 50% over the past eight years.

"There's much more plastic in our brains than I ever would have imagined or been comfortable with," said Campen, distinguished professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

On average, the brain samples studied contained about 7 grams of microplastics โ€” roughly the weight of an average plastic spoon.

To make matters worse, the study also found up to 10 times the amount of microplastics in the brains of 12 dementia patients compared to healthy brains. While the correlation is clear, researchers cautioned that further study is needed to establish a direct link.

UK VACCINE SCANDAL! GPs Took Pfizer Money to PUSH Kids' Vaccines!

mmmm
Neil Oliver and guest Molly Kingsley from the lobby group 'UsForThem', reveal the absolutely shocking truth behind the UK's vaccine scandal.

The Royal College of GPs has been exposed for failing to declare Pfizer payments while advocating for COVID jabs for children, despite the JCVI's firm refusal to recommend the rollout.

This shocking betrayal of public trust highlights how Big Pharma's influence has infiltrated critical health decisions.

In a blatant disregard for children's health and public trust, can the situation even be rectified, or do we need to 'drain the swamp' just like the US?

Household mold: A potential trigger for Alzheimer's disease

An Australian nutritionist began experiencing symptoms of fatigue and dementia after moving to a new house and was later diagnosed with a form of Alzheimer's disease. Eventually, it was discovered that her symptoms were linked to severe mold growth caused by water leaks in the house. This case was reported by Australian media in 2022.

Mold in the house may act as a potential trigger for Alzheimer's disease, though this claim remains a topic of debate among experts. Some microbiology researchers suggest that untreated mold infections in their early stages could impair brain function.

On the program "Health 1+1," Professor Shao-Hung Wang, Chairman of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Biopharmaceuticals at National Chiayi University in Taiwan, discussed the dangers of household mold, methods for checking indoor humidity and preventing mold, and important considerations when using disinfectants.

Opinion: Invalidity of Counterfactual Models of Mortality Averted by Childhood Vaccination.

Child Vaccine

Abstract

I express and support the opinion that all models that purport to calculate the mortality (infant mortality in particular) averted by vaccine programmes are invalid because they are based on inputs of vaccine efficacy and pathogen prevalence and virulence that are themselves invalid.

Even with ideal testing, the counterfactual number of deaths from a presumed pathogen if the targeting vaccination programme was not implemented is impossible to calculate reliably because it is contrary to biological reality: the deaths of concern are always complex non-linear events that involve several interacting contributing factors that do not have additive effects.

Furthermore, infant mortality factors other than vaccination are highly variable and overwhelmingly more important than any presumed vaccine benefit; predominantly, deleterious effects of nutritional deficiencies and of relentless exposures to challenges from toxic living environments. The underlying cause is so-called failed-state extreme poverty due to structural financial exploitation that is not being addressed. There is no known example of a drop in measured infant or child mortality temporally associated with the rollout of a childhood vaccination programme.

Independent studies suggest that, contrary to dogma, excess infant mortality (not averted infant mortality) is associated with vaccine programme rollouts and maintenance. Using yearly infant all-cause mortality rate directly, I estimate approximately 100 million vaccine-rollout-associated infant deaths 1974-2024 worldwide, with the caveat of concomitant largescale economic transformations.

I conclude, overall, that the longstanding industry of infant vaccination programmes is a baseless fraudulent enterprise of exploitation.

Best of the Web: 'No Consistent Patterns:' Scientists Find No Evidence that Closing Schools Materially Reduced Covid Transmission

covid lockdown
For years, scientists and commentators who questioned COVID policies were censored, blacklisted, and canceled across the country. Many of these dissenting views have since been vindicated from the lab origins theory to the lack of efficacy of surgical masks to the opposition to the closure of schools.

Now, a new study in the Journal of Infection further undermines the once orthodox views of the pandemic, concluding that "reopening schools did not change the existing trajectory of COVID-19 rates." In other words, we shut down our schools, without any demonstrable benefit to the country. We did, however, succeed in reducing free speech in the name of combating "disinformation."

The report is based on one of the comprehensive studies to date on the pandemic:
"Data were extracted from government websites. Cases and COVID-19 hospitalization and death incidence rates were calculated during the Delta and early Omicron periods in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland and the United Kingdom, for two weeks preceding and six weeks after schools reopened. We summarized stringency of public health measures (GRI), COVID-19 vaccination rates by age and SARS-CoV-2 testing rates."

'Jaw-dropping' study finds vaccinated children have 170% higher risk of autism

childhood vaccines
children's vaccines
Vaccinated children have a 170% higher chance of being diagnosed with autism compared to unvaccinated children, according to a new peer-reviewed study.

The study also found that vaccinated children had a 212% greater likelihood of developing a range of other neurodevelopmental disorders, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), epilepsy/seizures, brain inflammation and tic and learning disorders.

According to the study, the childhood vaccination schedule is likely a significant contributor to the higher rate of autism and neurodevelopmental conditions in vaccinated children.

Comment: These findings are tragic but not at all surprising. The responsible thing to do would be to suspend all vaccination programs until their safety and effectiveness can be clearly demonstrated, but we know that won't happen.

Lipid nanoparticles in COVID vaccines travel to vital organs, including heart

Lipid Nanoparticles in COVID Vaccines
A new study of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine in mice found that lipid nanoparticles containing the spike protein dispersed to major vital organs, including the heart. Scientists say this type of research should have been done before the COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out to the global population.

Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), used to deliver the mRNA in the COVID-19 vaccine to the body's cells, don't remain in the injection site โ€” they circulate throughout the entire body and reach vital organs, including the heart, according to a new paper published in Nature Biotechnology.

The findings "suggest a potential mechanism by which LNP-based mRNA vaccines could contribute to the reported cardiac complications," including myocarditis, the study authors wrote.

Now published in one of the top scientific journals, the study's findings contradict claims by public health officials and scientists during the COVID-19 vaccine rollouts that the LNPs were safe because they traveled only to specific targeted sites in the body.

We may be taking blood pressure readings all wrong

Blood pressure readings while lying down beat seated readings at predicting heart risks.

Last year, a study highlighted that your doctor's office might be taking your blood pressure wrong. The current best practice is to take seated blood pressure readings with a detailed protocol: Patients must not eat, drink, or exercise for 30 minutes prior; they must have an empty bladder and sit calmly for five minutes prior to the first reading; they must sit with their feet uncrossed and flat on the floor; their back should be supported; and โ€” a big one that's often overlooked โ€” they must keep the arm to be measured resting on a flat surface at the height of their heart, not higher or lower.

While the setup is often different from what happens in a bustling medical office, a new study blows away quibbles over protocol and suggests that even when done perfectly, the method is second-rate. We shouldn't be sitting at all when we take our blood pressure โ€” we should be lying down.

According to the study, published in JAMA Cardiology and led by researchers at Harvard, blood pressure readings measured while lying down were significantly better at indicating risks of cardiovascular disease, stroke, heart failure, and death than were seated blood pressure readings alone.

For instance, people who had high blood pressure readings while lying down but not while seated had an estimated 53 percent higher relative risk of coronary heart disease than people with normal blood pressure. They had a 51 percent higher risk of heart failure, a 62 percent higher risk of stroke, a 78 percent higher risk of fatal coronary heart disease, and a 34 percent higher risk of all-cause mortality.

Smartphone use leads to hallucinations, detachment from reality, aggression in teens as young as 13: Study

Smartphones are making teenagers more aggressive, detached from reality and causing them to hallucinate, according to new research.

Scientists concluded the younger a person starts using a phone, the more likely they would be crippled by a whole host of psychological ills after surveying 10,500 teens between 13 and 17 from both the US and India for the study, by Sapien Labs.

"People don't fully appreciate that hyper-real and hyper-immersive screen experiences can blur reality at key stages of development," addiction psychologist Dr. Nicholas Kardaras, who was not part of the team who did the study, told The Post.

"Their digital world can compromise their ability to distinguish between what's real and what's not. A hallucination by any other name.

"Screen time essentially acts as a toxin that stunts both brain development and social development," Kardaras explained. "The younger a kid is when given a device, the higher the likelihood of mental health issues later on."
