Incredible footage shows the dog leaping into action to defend a woman from a robber.
The video, filmed in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, shows a man in a yellow hoody following a woman walking along a road.
The pair strolled past the dog, which is believed to be a stray, RTCG reported.
As soon as the man grabs the woman from behind, the dog rushes over to help.
The woman is forced to the ground as the man tries to steal her bag, but he is immediately attacked by the animal.
In the clip, the dog appears to jump up and bite the man's buttocks, causing him to abandon the theft and run away.
Not yet satisfied, the dog chases the man off, giving him one final bite at the ankle as the man races out of shot.
The video was posted on the Facebook group Podgoricki Vremeplov, a group for people living in the city.
People were full of praise for the animal, including one man who posted a photo of a dog with the caption: 'Hero of the day.'
Comment: What's so interesting in this amazing video is how the dog seems to observe the two walk past and upon seeing the attacker make his move, the brave doggy instinctively jumps into action to save someone he apparently has no connection with. It shows us that there is much more to animals than what we think we know.
And it shows the UK's recent inhumane ruling that 'animals aren't sentient beings' to be even more insane: English government scraps EU legislation that sees animals as sentient beings, says they can't feel pain

The cameraman is rejoicing for passing it forward
secondly animals can read your aura...thats why animals shy away from some people whilst taking a like to others...
and thirdly...dogs and horses in particular can read your body language....
Just as dogs can perceive fear (few deny that), they can perceive a lot more than that.
I love good news like this.

I wonder what caused this particular dog to behave in a good way. Maybe it was because he wasn't associated with a (psychopathic or not) human?
I was raised differently... with regard to ladies in particular...to behave as that great pup did.. or even meaner.
