For those who are paying strict attention left and right, 2010 will be remembered as the year in which a major threshold was crossed and the door closed behind it. It is the humble opinion of the editors that the dice have been thrown and the destiny of the planet sealed.

The signs were there:
  • The absolute disregard of governments for the rights of air travelers and citizens and the open arrogance of the imposition of Orwellian measures
  • The continuation of ever more absurd fake-terror tricks to scare the people into compliance
  • The increasingly violent anger of the masses on the streets as a result of the economic pressure and other forms of abuse from the top
  • The great ease with which the global media took over, diluted and distorted the aspirations of political truth seekers via the Wikileaks show, and the obvious omission of Israel from such 'leaks'
  • The all too timid opposition of the world to such crimes against humanity as the genocide aboard the Mavi Marmara
  • And the ongoing imperial campaigns of western powers in the Middle East and Asia
Particularly disastrous was the chain reaction ignited by BP's ecocide in the Gulf of Mexico - courtesy of corporate psychopathy and the complicity of our governments - this festering wound might yet contribute significantly to tipping the global climate into an Ice Age by disrupting ocean currents and, in turn, wind currents. The Gulf Loop current is reportedly already broken, disrupting the northern Jet Stream and bringing yet another harsh winter to most of the northern hemisphere.

It is admittedly speculative to blame the meters of snowfall in the US and Europe this winter on the Gulf oil spill, but if you're looking for concrete in-your-face evidence of the unprecedented scale of the disaster, just ask the thousands of local residents and oil spill workers living along the coast of the Gulf from Texas to Florida.

But the oil in the Gulf of Mexico is only one factor. We believe we are witnessing the beginning of a dramatic episode of human history linked to climate change within the solar system. We see it in signs ignored by most: comets, fireballs and changes in the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, somewhat symbolically, the Ring of Fire around the Pacific Ocean is trembling violently, setting off so many volcanic eruptions and earthquakes that we've lost count. The potential for disaster is horrific, as events in Japan have recently shown. Human infrastructure is fragile and a direct hit on a key facility - like the Fukushima nuclear power plant - can effectively erase all prospects of normal human life across whole areas. Indeed, Fukushima is turning out to be 2011's 'oil spill', one which at this point looks even darker than the one in the Gulf of Mexico.

But as we ponder the present and what remains of our future, let's back up and recapitulate 2010... Connecting the Dots has been dormant for a while and there's much to catch up on!

Global Climate Year Zero

More than a quarter of a million people were killed by natural disasters in 2010. Earthquakes, heat waves, floods, volcanoes, super typhoons, blizzards, landslides and droughts claimed the lives of more people than those murdered in all terrorist acts in the last 40 years combined - a little known fact that makes a mockery out of the War on Terror propaganda.

This was the deadliest year in terms of natural catastrophes in a generation, and no, we are not followers of the nonsensical global warming religion. This past winter's extreme snowfalls and record cold temperatures tell a very different story to the 'Go Green' false flag revolution led by Al Gore and Company.

Clearly the rise in both the intensity and frequency of earthquakes tells us that we need to expand our understanding beyond the usual anthropogenic and mainstream limits. Some insiders do appear to be smelling the coffee; a UK government report authored by Paddy Ashdown, a member of the House of Lords, warns that major disasters like the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, as well as last year's unprecedented flooding in Pakistan, are likely to become more frequent, urging governments to prepare for an "uncertain future".

He added that scientists believe recent natural disasters were not an aberration, but "the beginnings of a new kind of future in which mega-disasters are going to be more frequent". Unsurprisingly, Lord Ashdown's report is rather vague when it comes to providing reasons for this sharp upward trend in natural catastrophes:
The reasons for this are many. Rapid population growth, especially in disaster prone areas, is a key factor, especially when combined with continued mass urbanization, much of it unplanned and unsafe. So too are the changes already underway in sea levels, and in global rainfall and storm patterns - changes that will contribute to significant additional pressure for food and water in the years ahead.

While the report makes passing references to global warming - "changes in sea levels" - it doesn't explain why earthquakes and tsunamis should be more frequent. This omission is so glaring, the reader might wonder if anything was edited out. It is also interesting that a keyword search for 'global warming' within the report will not find the words together even once.

Authorities are clearly avoiding the concept now that people have had a foretaste of glacial rebound.

While winter 2009-2010 was harsh, 2010-2011 turned out to be colder and snowier. Among the places that suffered record or near record cold temperatures we find Siberia, Australia, Ireland, Great Britain, California, Las Vegas, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cuba, New Zealand and Edmonton. Looking at these statistics, it's quite laughable that 2010 was announced as "the warmest year ever".

Central to the less-than-scientific methodology supporting the dying, man-made global warming theory is the elimination of temperature reports from weather stations located in cooler, non-urban and northerly places. The Warmists take pleasure in reminding us of this or that shrinking glacier, all the while ignoring those which are actually growing, such as the Mount Shasta glaciers, and fail to report on the 70 trillion cubic feet increase in Arctic Sea ice.

Our North American readers need no convincing as to the reality of global cooling: they had front row seats for a succession of record-breaking blizzards.

Snow in the northern hemisphere continued to fall into the Spring. Greece and Turkey had a late snow storm in March, New England saw heavy snow fall on April Fool's day and Arizona received ten inches of snow on April 9.

Floods and torrential rain inundated warmer climates throughout 2010. Rio de Janeiro experienced the biggest deluge in its history last April. In that same month, Tennessee experienced sudden record-breaking flooding as storms dumped up to 16 inches of rain over two days, turning highways into rivers and prompting mass evacuations from Nashville. A severe cyclone in eastern India that killed at least 140 people also left over 500,000 homeless.

In terms of flooding, the worst hit country was Pakistan, which saw a third of its territory submerged and more than four million people affected, in a catastrophe that was rated as the worst humanitarian crisis it has had to deal with.

At the time of Pakistan's floods, Russia experienced a severe heatwave. Wildfires in the west of Russia forced the country to ban exports of wheat. Since Russia is the third-largest exporter of wheat, the impact on global food prices was severe. The heatwave ended dramatically with a hurricane sweeping through Russia. The cause for the meteorological anomalies in Russia and Pakistan was said to be unusual holding patterns in the Jet Stream, an explanation that resurfaced to account for the severe winter conditions in the northern hemisphere in December.

What is disrupting the climate's weather patterns to the point of 'blocking' the Jet Stream? We believe that our recent research yields some possible answers.

A Bit of Perspective

The increase in extreme weather events noted above can be understood in the context of theories that take cosmic events into account. One such theory by James McCanney proposes that electromagnetic interaction between the planets, moons, comets and the sun result in tremendous discharges of energy which directly impact our weather. Sott editor RyanX made the case for a cosmic connection to Earth Changes in January and February 2011 as follows:
Cyclone Yasi
© US Geostationary SatelliteYasi cyclone approaching Australia
Recent events provide us with a great case study of the cosmic forces that may lie behind large storms such as cyclones, hurricanes, blizzards and much more. The recent events I speak of include the major blizzard that swept across the Midwestern and Eastern US as well as the punishment Cyclone Yasi inflicted on eastern Australia earlier last week.

Both of these storms grew to enormous sizes during a time period that coincided with the Earth being lashed by a solar storm just following a New Moon. As strange as this may sound, this isn't the first time that celestial alignments alongside of solar activity have spurred such events.

If a correlation between these factors exists, as we suspect, then this overturns much of what is commonly believed about Earth weather and, as we'll see, even geology.

To understand how this all works, let's start with the sun. On January 31st a massive coronal hole opened up on the sun, hurling another sledgehammer of charged particles in the direction of Earth. This was due to impact us sometime between February 2nd and February 4th. Not only this, but we recently passed through a new Moon on February 2nd. But why is the Moon of any significance here, one might ask?

As James McCanney explains in an interview he did for Spectrum Magazine in 2003:
The [New] Moon moves in front of Earth, breaks that electrical flow [between the sun and Earth], and then moves out of the way. It gives us tremendous bombardment after that Moon moves out of the way, the first and second day after the New Moon. That's the condition that has been identified as being one of the leading causes of kicking-off major hurricanes and storms. What it does is: The Moon is interacting with the solar electric field. It's that CHANGE which causes the storms, and causes the environment around Earth to change, and thus affects Earth weather.
So the picture we're painting is this: The sun blasts a massive front of solar wind in the direction of the Earth. As the New Moon moves out of the way of the sun and Earth, this, by itself, creates a significant increase in charged particles hitting the Earth. With the excess of charged particles from this solar storm hitting us nearly simultaneously, all of this excess charge ends up in the radiation belts surrounding the Earth.

The Earth then finds ways to discharge this imbalance such as these two major storms we've seen. One storm takes the form of a massive blizzard covering about half of the US. The other takes the form of a cyclone storm, Yasi, that pounds the already flooded east coast of Australia. Increased volcanic and earthquake activity was also noted during this time as well.
We can further complement the theory with the following hypothetical scenario. There is a correlation between the electrical activity of the sun and planets and an increase of matter in the inner solar system in the form of comet dust and comets. The earth's upper atmosphere cools as a result of the influx of particles, explaining recently observed atmospheric anomalies such as noctilucent clouds and spirals created by falling debris, while an increase in volcanic activity warms parts of the oceans from below - all of which contributes to the climatic chaos. More to come below on the Fire in the Sky!

Psychopath-made Climate Change

Image
© AP PhotoDefenseless: a pelican, sadly sitting on the coast, its wings so covered in tar that it cannot fly.
Which is not to say, of course, that ordinary people haven't contributed to climate change to some extent, however small. It's just that, as always, the real story is not the one we're being told. Under the anthropogenic global warming model, it is people like you and me who are mostly to blame, because we use cars and airplanes.

In reality, it is our psychopathic intra-species predator which is most to blame for the chaos that results from their selfish goal of taking as much as they can in the shortest amount of time and with the least effort.

We are nearing the anniversary of the explosion which rocked British Petroleum's Deepwater Horizon offshore oil drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico in April 2010, sending a column of fire into the sky and claiming the lives of 11 oil workers. Largely caused by human negligence and greed, the accident turned from bad to worse as millions of gallons of oil gushed uncontrollably into the sea.

More concerned with image than fact, BP's psychopathic decision-makers hurried to dump the toxic oil dispersant Corexit, sending the oil to the bottom of the ocean rather than cleaning it, and in the process creating a mixture even deadlier than the oil itself.

With the complicity of the US government, the public was told that the leak had been eventually controlled - a hard-to-believe contention considering the difficulty of work at a depth of 5,000 feet and a drilled hole of a further 30,000 into the crust of the earth, which hit a high-pressure pocket of oil, especially considering that there were reports of more than one leak, miles from each other.

Nevertheless, pictures of oil-covered sands and dying pelicans reached the media's audience less and less often; the Obamas were said to have gone for a happy swim in the sea, all but sealing the official lie that all was well. What the eyes cannot see, the heart cannot feel; the PR people and the media conspired to bury the truth about the Gulf oil spill. This is, very simply, sweeping things under the sand on a genocidal scale.

Watch the heart-breaking testimonial of this clean-up worker, which should have made it to the 6 o'clock news but didn't. She is not the only one in this situation.

Lord Stirling was right to suspect that the vast quantity of oil affected the Gulf Stream, which in turn disrupted the regular patterns of the Jet Stream and gave us the winter show discussed above. Even if nature has graced us with a reprieve before a full blown Ice Age, the fact remains that this is where we are headed.

As long as the oil remains in the ocean currents, how can it not affect their movements? Of particular significance was a scientific report providing evidence of an anomaly in the Gulf Loop current. The Gulf Loop is connected to the Gulf Stream; if the Gulf Stream breaks down, part of the northern hemisphere will find itself in an Ice Age.

Earthquake Invasion

2010 was a year of powerful earthquakes. Have a look at this interesting table, borrowed from this article by Holly Deyo:

earthquakes 2010
© Holly Deyo
Note that 2010 had a number of moderate or strong earthquakes equal to or higher than the average of the last two decades. In particular, the figure for deaths was far above average.

2010 began with a devastating earthquake in Haiti on January 12. Measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale, it instantly killed over 150,000 people. As tragedy often begets tragedy, here the destruction served as an excuse for a de facto US invasion and takeover of the country, with a fleet of US warships, aircraft carriers, helicopters and 20,000 soldiers supported by Pentagon contractors offering "armed cargo escorts" and "high threat terminations" to deal with "looters" and "worker unrest".

Obama decided to send George W. Bush and Clinton as "special relief envoys". A curious choice if you actually want to be of any help. Not so strange if you want to administrate an occupation.

Image
© Associated PressWet cops invasion: the US troops land on the grass of the Presidential Palace in Port au Prince after its demolition by the forces of nature. The forces of nature, really?
Now here is something even stranger: a Haiti "disaster relief scenario" was envisaged by the US military one day before the earthquake. The Pentagon's Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) happened to be at the headquarters of the US Southern Command in Miami preparing to run a "simulation" that involved providing relief to Haiti in the wake of a hurricane.

Next day the earthquake happened, and Southern Command decided to "go live" with the integrated military response system it was supposedly "testing."

Does that remind you of anything? Operation Vigilant Guardian on 9/11? The London Underground exercise on 7/7? Such an extraordinary coincidence confronts us with a difficult choice. Either we believe that the US military has the power to accurately predict earthquakes with stunning precision, or it has the power to induce earthquakes at will. Or it was a one-in-a-million stroke of 'luck' of the type which is so common when the US and/or its allies have something to gain. You decide; we simply ask you to not forget.

Then there was that catastrophic 8.8 earthquake in Chile on the night of February 27. It was the strongest recorded there in over 50 years and took the lives of at least 555 people. As you might have guessed, Chile's military, in keeping with the trend set by US and UN enforcers in Haiti, took control of the affected cities, imposed curfews and guarded businesses under the pretext of protecting them against "looting".

Other less harmful tremors of 2010 included record earthquake swarms hitting Yellowstone and the New Madrid Fault line in middle America, culminating with the worst earthquake in 35 years to hit the region, a 4.7 quake in Arkansas. Christchurch, New Zealand, got a prelude to the direct hit in 2011 when a magnitude 7 struck some 30 kilometers south of the city in September. The latter caused widespread damage including the collapse of some buildings. On February 22, 2011, a "smaller" 6.3 earthquake slammed downtown Christchurch. Almost half of the city was laid to waste. The building damage was comparable to that seen in Port-au-Prince last year.

The 8.9 earthquake off the Pacific coast of Japan on March 11, 2011 - the strongest in the area in some 1,200 years - and the subsequent ten-meter-high tsunami, has given the world its clearest message yet that our civilization is but a house of cards against the power of Nature. Japan is arguably the most advanced civilization humanity has to show for itself, and despite having an integrated high-technology infrastructure (including a sophisticated early warning system for tsunamis), the final death toll is estimated to be in the region of 25,000 people.

There is $310 billion worth of immediate structural damage to repair, but of infinitely greater concern is a nuclear crisis which threatens to poison first Japan, then the entire planet. And no one knows how to fix the problem (more on this below).

To this we must add the consequences for the economy of Japan and the world. Who will buy Japanese foodstuffs now? This is one more dead weight placed on the tipping scales of the global food crisis. How suddenly things can turn from normal to very bad, don't you think? Now imagine if instead of an earthquake in the wrong place we had, say, a comet exploding in the atmosphere and its fragments raining over large population centers...

Japan, New Zealand and Chile all have something in common. They sit on the Ring of Fire and around the Pacific tectonic plate. Recent strong earthquakes seem to show a pattern around the Ring of Fire, and this is one of the reasons we have to suspect that a big one is coming in the near future to North America, with California being a prime target. Which doesn't mean that East Asia is out of the woods yet. Japan has experienced at least two aftershock quakes above magnitude 7.0 since the March 11 mega-quake, as well as at least 70 more above magnitude 6.0 coming in March alone. This is 50 times more than the same period last year.

Indonesia also lies on the Ring of Fire. Modern civilization first became acquainted with tsunamis in late 2004 when 250,000 people were killed as a result of the first magnitude-9.0 earthquake since 1967. The swarm of mega-quakes is making some geophysicists wonder if we aren't in a new age of large earthquakes.

Particularly since Japan's big one, the planet has seen at least one large tremor a day. If that is the case - and it certainly seems to be - why is it happening? And what is its relationship with global climate changes? It's all connected: it seems to us that we are looking at a confluence of natural cycles of cosmic proportions.

To the earthquake (and volcanic) activity we need to add the curious appearance of numerous sinkholes across the world. You could say that the planet is 'opening up' as it shakes! Is there a connection to Christchurch and Japan's earth liquefaction?

Nuclear Toast

March 11 was a devastating blow to the people of Japan and a major disaster by every measure. In the immediate aftermath, yet another aspect of the disaster slowly became apparent as we watched the unfolding system failures at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. The earthquake and tsunami damaged the plant and knocked its 6 reactors off the electric power grid and caused backup power systems to fail, which in turn caused the cooling systems - the most essential component in keeping nuclear fuel cooled and under control - to fail as well.

After some days without these critical systems, there were explosions at several of the reactor buildings which did even more extensive damage to the facility and caused unspecified releases of radioactive material into the environment.

The situation has been growing more and more serious. It appears no effort to date has succeeded in bringing matters at the Fukushima plant fully under control. The disaster is now being rated 7 out of 7, the highest level on an international scale overseen by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The result is that radioactive toxins continue to be released into the air, the ground and the Pacific Ocean.

At the same time, there is much confusion and a lack of important, credible data being offered honestly to the people of Japan and the rest of the world with regard to the amount of radioactive material released and the dangers this situation presents. We are reminded of how similar all this is to the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico last year. In both these disasters, those responsible for utilizing technology with the potential for extremely hazardous accidents behave as though the health and well being of millions of people is far less important than protecting their own financial interests.

With such callous disregard for others, the similarity between the behavior of giant corporations and the behavioral characteristics of psychopaths is not a difficult comparison to make.

One effect this catastrophe has had is to cause many of us to begin researching and learning more about the effects of radioactive toxins and about the nuclear power plants that are located all over the world. According to the European Nuclear Society, as of January 2011, there are 442 nuclear power plants located in 30 different countries and an additional 65 are currently under construction.

Though much effort is made by the corporations that build and operate them to convince people that they are safe, what has happened in Fukushima clearly demonstrates that every one of these plants has at least the same potential to become extremely hazardous.

Though it has taken Fukushima to catapult the issue of radioactive toxins onto the front pages, the problem has been growing all around us for the past 60 years - and not just through the building of nuclear power plants, but also from the more than 2,000 nuclear test explosions which have been conducted since 1945.

The purpose of using nuclear fission from highly radioactive material in a nuclear power plant is essentially one thing - to boil water, resulting in steam which is used to drive turbines and produce electricity. It is difficult to imagine any technology which could be utilized for such a simple end that could possibly be more complicated, expensive and dangerous.

From Greenpeace (pdf):
...nuclear processes produce dangerous radioactive materials. These materials emit radiation that can be very harmful for people and the environment, not only now but also for hundreds of thousands of years to come. Exposure to radioactivity has been linked to genetic mutations, birth defects, cancer, leukaemia and disorders of the reproductive, immune, cardiovascular and endocrine systems.

Commercial nuclear reactors use uranium as fuel. Even before it is ready to be used as fuel, a series of processing steps causes serious environmental contamination. When a uranium atom is split, it produces not only energy but also highly dangerous radioactive waste. On average, uranium ore contains only 0.1% uranium. The overwhelming majority of the materials extracted during uranium ore mining is waste containing other hazardous radioactive and toxic substances.

Most nuclear reactors require one specific form of uranium, uranium-235 (U-235). This form represents only 0.7% of natural uranium. To increase the concentration of U-235, the uranium extracted from ore goes through an enrichment process, resulting in a small quantity of usable 'enriched' uranium and huge volumes of waste: depleted uranium, a toxic radioactive heavy metal.

Enriched uranium is then put into fuel rods and transported to nuclear reactors where electricity is generated. Nuclear power plant operation transforms uranium fuel into a rich, highly-toxic and dangerous cocktail of radioactive elements, such as plutonium. Plutonium is the manmade element used in nuclear bombs, lethal in minute quantities and dangerous for about 240,000 years.

Fukushima protest
© Associated Press
Nuclear waste is categorised according to both its level of radioactivity and how long it remains hazardous. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) estimates that, every year, the nuclear energy industry produces the equivalent of about 1 million barrels (200,000m3) of what it considers 'Low and Intermediate-Level Waste' (LILW) and about 50,000 barrels (10,000m3) of the even more dangerous 'High-Level Waste' (HLW).3

These numbers do not even include spent nuclear fuel, which is a high-level waste too. Low and Intermediate-Level Waste includes parts of dismantled nuclear power plants (concrete, metals), but also disposable protective clothing, plastics, paper, metals, filters and resins. Low-level and intermediate waste remains radioactive for periods ranging from minutes to thousands of years and needs to be maintained under controlled conditions for these durations.

Even so, large volumes of radioactive waste are discharged in the air and the sea every day.

Extremely dangerous High-Level Waste includes materials containing highly-radioactive elements. High-level waste can be radioactive for hundreds of thousands of years and emits large amounts of hazardous radiation. Even a couple of minutes of exposure to high-level waste can easily result in fatal doses of radiation. It therefore needs to be reliably stored for hundreds of thousands of years.

Putting this into perspective, humankind has been on Earth for the last 200,000 years, yet it takes 240,000 years for plutonium to be considered safe. The safe and secure storage of the dangerous waste needs to be guaranteed throughout this period, which potentially spans many Ice Ages. It's no wonder that a solution for dealing with nuclear waste has still not been found.
As is often the case, once we begin to pull on the threads and look into how we came to be on the road to having over 500 of these incredibly hazardous and toxic installations on Planet Earth, we find at the root some of the world's largest corporations, working hand in hand with powerful governments, the military, international agencies and financial institutions which have demonstrated time and again that the health and well-being of people is the least of their concerns.

Almost from the start, there have been whistle-blowers and critics who have tried to make the dangers of using nuclear technologies known. And, as has also often been the case, a concerted effort has been made by the industry to silence them. The disaster at Fukushima has provided a new opportunity for some of their voices to be heard.

Dr. Helen Caldicott, a long-time opponent of nuclear power, in an interview with CNN two weeks after the earthquake, was asked about the risks to the people in the immediate area to the accident at Fukushima:
The risk cannot be determined with any accuracy yet, because it is not clear how much radiation has or is escaping. NPR reported last week that 17 workers have suffered what the Japanese government called "deposition of radioactive material" to their faces. And some plant workers have already been hospitalized for exposure to radiation, which means they received a huge dose of radiation.

High levels of exposure can cause acute radiation sickness, a syndrome first recognized by the medical profession after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It can have terrible effects. In two weeks, victims' hair begins to drop out. They develop hemorrhaging under the skin, severe nausea and diarrhea and may eventually die from bleeding or infection.

If a meltdown occurred at the plant, a large number of people could be exposed to high doses of radiation in this region, one of the most heavily populated in Japan. (After the March 11 earthquake, the Japanese government evacuated people living within a 20-kilometer radius to mitigate the possibility.)

Men exposed to such a dose would be rendered sterile, women would stop menstruating, and spontaneous abortions would likely occur. Babies could be born with microcephaly, with tiny heads and mental disabilities. Many people would develop acute shortness of breath from lung damage. In five years, there would be an epidemic of leukemia, and in 15 years, solid cancers would start appearing in many organs: lung, breast, thyroid, brain and bone.

Even if the release is not huge, the incidence of cancer and leukemia will increase in the population. Children are 10 to 20 times more sensitive to the carcinogenic effects of radiation than adults, and fetuses thousands of times moreso because their cells are rapidly dividing and are thus vulnerable to genetic mutations. Genetic diseases, like cystic fibrosis, diabetes, dwarfism and metabolic disorders, will be passed on to future generations.

There is no way to decontaminate exposed people once they inhale or ingest radioactive elements, which are dispersed throughout the body to many different organs.

The radiation monitors at Three Mile Island went off the scale within minutes of the accident, so releases were only guesstimates by physicists. But almost certainly, radioactive elements like strontium 90, cesium 137 and tritium escaped. Chernobyl had a full meltdown and rupture of the containment vessel, and fallout contaminated 40% of Europe and England.

There are six reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Plant No. 1 in Japan, and their spent fuel pools, which contain highly radioactive fuel rods, are also at risk of melting down. These pools contain two to 10 times more radiation than in the reactor core, which itself contains as much long-lived radiation as 1,000 Hiroshima bombs.
There have been many stories in the mainstream media comparing exposure to the radioactive material released at Fukushima to such commonplace and seemingly safe instances as medical x-rays and CT scans, as well as naturally-occurring sources such as radon. This is blatant BS, typical of the pattern we saw after the BP spill, designed to downplay the risk. For more on this, see Perception Management: How Acceptable Levels-of Radiation are Adjusted to Make Us Think Everything is A-OK.

Hirose Takashi, who has written several books critical of the nuclear power industry, interviewed on March 22 had this to say:
Takashi: All of the information media are at fault here I think. They are saying stupid things like, why, we are exposed to radiation all the time in our daily life, we get radiation from outer space. But that's one millisievert per year. A year has 365 days, a day has 24 hours; multiply 365 by 24, you get 8760. Multiply the 400 millisieverts by that, you get 3,500,000 the normal dose. You call that safe? And what media have reported this? None. They compare it to a CT scan, which is over in an instant; that has nothing to do with it.

The reason radioactivity can be measured is that radioactive material is escaping.

What is dangerous is when that material enters your body and irradiates it from inside. These industry-mouthpiece scholars come on TV and what do they say? They say as you move away the radiation is reduced in inverse ratio to the square of the distance. I want to say the reverse. Internal irradiation happens when radioactive material is ingested into the body. What happens? Say there is a nuclear particle one meter away from you. You breathe it in, it sticks inside your body; the distance between you and it is now at the micron level.

One meter is 1000 millimeters, one micron is one thousandth of a millimeter. That's a thousand times a thousand: a thousand squared. That's the real meaning of "inverse ratio of the square of the distance." Radiation exposure is increased by a factor of a trillion. Inhaling even the tiniest particle, that's the danger.

Interviewer: So making comparisons with X-rays and CT scans has no meaning. Because you can breathe in radioactive material.

Takashi: That's right. When it enters your body, there's no telling where it will go. The biggest danger is women, especially pregnant women, and little children. Now they're talking about iodine and cesium, but that's only part of it, they're not using the proper detection instruments. What they call monitoring means only measuring the amount of radiation in the air. Their instruments don't eat. What they measure has no connection with the amount of radioactive material...

One month on from the opening of this latest horror show, despite the best efforts of governments and energy corporations to limit the release of data, a picture has begun to emerge which could eventually make this the worst man-made disaster in history, with a toll on human health few have even begun to contemplate. It appears that at least three of the reactors have melted down to some degree or another, which means that highly radioactive nuclear fuel is no longer held in the zirconium rods which typically contain it, and is likely to be lying on the concrete floor of the reactors, still burning.

Plutonium has been found outside in the environment, indicating most likely that at least some of the spent fuel rods in one or more reactor buildings were blown apart and carried into the air and onto the ground in one or more of the explosions that took place. There are cracks in containment structures and possibly in spent fuel pools which have allowed radioactive material to leak, and there has been an unspecified but undoubtedly large amount of highly radioactive material dumped into the ocean.

Radioactive isotopes traceable to Fukushima are now detectable across the entire Northern Hemisphere.

Physicians for Social Responsibility recently released a statement concerning exposure to radioactive material:
Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) expressed concern over recent reports that radioactivity from the ongoing Fukushima accident is present in the Japanese food supply. While all food contains radionuclides, whether from natural sources, nuclear testing or otherwise, the increased levels found in Japanese spinach and milk pose health risks to the population. PSR also expressed alarm over the level of misinformation circulating in press reports about the degree to which radiation exposure can be considered "safe."

According to the National Academy of Sciences, there are no safe doses of radiation. Decades of research show clearly that any dose of radiation increases an individual's risk for the development of cancer.

"There is no safe level of radionuclide exposure, whether from food, water or other sources. Period," said Jeff Patterson, DO, immediate past president of Physicians for Social Responsibility. "Exposure to radionuclides, such as iodine-131 and cesium-137, increases the incidence of cancer. For this reason, every effort must be taken to minimize the radionuclide content in food and water."
Given that there is no 'safe' dose, this is cause for great concern for everyone. The Fukushima event is yet another environmental stress our bodies must deal with. This makes it all the more important for people to do whatever they can to detox, and to learn about and utilize protocols for immune system defense which promote health.

need the Cold War to disguise celestial intentions!" ~ Victor Clube
It's a hell of a challenge trying to round-up countless reports about the fire in the sky when your years' long attempts to broach others' awareness about the impending danger persistently falls on deaf ears.

If everything we need to know, we learned in kindergarten, then remember, when you were a kid, how you were instructed by your caretakers about the basic safety measures: never take candy from a stranger, be aware of the environment at all times and be in contact (network). Learn to scream "FIRE" to get people's attention, because there is nothing quite like a fire hazard to activate people's natural self-preservation instincts.

And yet, here we are screaming "fire!" year after year, not for the sake of getting attention, and still we get responses like this one. Sheesh, we sometimes feel like Cassandra!

But where some would give up and concentrate on their personal survival, we instead choose to utilize this cubic centimeter of opportunity still available to humanity, and be like the hummingbird from the following Chinese parable:
One day an elephant saw a hummingbird lying on its back with its tiny feet up in the air. "What are you doing?" asked the elephant. The hummingbird replied, "I heard that the sky might fall today, and so I am ready to help hold it up, should it fall." The elephant laughed cruelly. "Do you really think," he said, "that those tiny feet could help hold up the sky?" The hummingbird kept his feet up in the air, intent on his purpose, as he replied, "Not alone. But each must do what he can. And this is what I can do."
And fixing our eyes on the skies and keeping informed about the upcoming firestorm is what we can do. But let's change the format of last year's summary just a bit, shall we? Instead of simply listing all the reports we received, we will concentrate on a few key events which acted as markers or signs highlighting the perceptual problem that humanity is facing. If you're after the raw data, please do visit our blog, where you'll find a thorough chronological listing of reported fireballs, meteorites and airbursts.

The confusion surrounding the phenomenon of cosmic debris piercing our atmosphere ultimately lies in the misguided trust we tend to place in those to whom we give authority for tackling problems of global proportions. Admittedly, such responsibility cannot be easy to handle. However, there is a difference between honest error as a result of reaching the limits of knowledge and understanding available in a specific field, and a science corrupted from sacrificing truth to further political agendas or certain preconceptions, in the name of maintaining an illusion and a lie for which we are all about to pay with our very lives.

A case in point:
NASA's senior scientist, David Morrison, stated that 80 percent of the near Earth asteroids that are 1 kilometer or larger have been identified and that he could assure those gathered at the conference that "We are not going the way of the dinosaurs." He also says the Spaceguard Survey has not turned up any near Earth asteroids as large as the one that is believed to have wiped out the dinosaurs.
Morrison pointed out that asteroid strikes are the only natural hazard that in principle can be completely eliminated. Thanks to the Spaceguard Survey, humanity will likely have decades of warning before an impending collision. Once alerted, missiles could be used to nudge a threatening asteroid so that it misses the earth.

The definition of criminal negligence is recklessly acting without reasonable caution and putting another person at risk of injury or death (or failing to do something with the same consequences).

We have this nagging suspicion that David Morrison's assurances that we have nothing to worry about when it comes to threats from space, and that we can peacefully go on with our daily lives, filled with quiet desperation on a planet where human tragedy and horrendous atrocities have become as common as fruit flies, amount to a disturbingly clear example of criminal negligence.

Perhaps this is why:
The experts are not remotely agreed on how worried we should be. Telescopes and satellites are now in a position to detect potential "planet-killers" - asteroids or comets over one kilometre in diameter - many years or even decades before they might collide with the Earth.

The problem, according to Jay Tate, director of the public information resource Spaceguard UK, is that no measures are in place to avert them, and smaller objects could still "whistle through" to strike us at any time. "Do you want to know how much warning we would have of a country or city-killing asteroid?" asks Tate. "About four seconds. A major impact is just as likely to happen before the end of this conversation as 10,000 years from now."

A retired British Army officer and guided-weapons specialist, Tate became curious about government plans to defend against meteorites after the SL9 comet bombarded Jupiter in 1994, and was furious to find that they didn't have a single one. He and several eminent scientists formed a task force on Near Earth Objects (NEOs), presenting parliament with a series of recommendations for action in 2000.[...]

"Very little has been done since," says Tate, from the Spaceguard Centre at the former Powys Observatory in Wales. "The official British line seems to be that we don't need to bother, because the Americans are taking care of it. But if that's the rationale, then what the bloody hell are we doing in Iraq?"
Bloody hell, indeed, is what they created in Iraq.

And since we can't rely on the "brightest and best" at NASA to present us with an accurate assessment of cosmic threats, without muddying the water or intentionally concealing crucial data (dare we call it a conspiracy of cosmic proportions?), we will take a shot at the job (once again), reminding you that from a historical point of view,
the only reality is that of conspiracy. Secrecy, wealth and independence add up to power. Deception is the key element of warfare, (the tool of power elites), and when winning is all that matters, the conventional morality held by ordinary people becomes an impediment. Secrecy stems from a pervasive and fundamental element of life in our world, that those who are at the top of the heap will always take whatever steps are necessary to maintain the status quo. [Dolan, UFOs and the National Security State, Vol. I]
And maintaining the "status quo" in science has to be one of the main objectives of the Power Elite. So let us break the status quo by presenting you with facts that were once known or understood by humanity on an instinctual level, learned the hard way after facing and surviving numerous life-shattering calamities.

Here is what acclaimed astrophysicist Victor Clube has to say:
There is a paradigm shift involved in recognizing that it's not just ancient history we have got wrong - it's all history.

So, what is my point? My point is that you do not have to dabble first in mythology and prehistory and geology, as Velikovsky did, in order to understand the sky. You first take the modern sky accessible to science, especially during the Space Age, and you look at its darker debris with a view to relating its behavior to the more accessible human history which we can, in principle, really understand. And by this approach you discover from the dynamics of the material in space which I'm talking about that a huge comet must have settled in a Taurid orbit some 20,000 years ago, whose dense meteor stream for 10,000 years almost certainly produced the last Ice Age.

What else can we learn from history that will help us to understand that cometary bombardments are not isolated events, but act as an integral part of our existence by periodically bestowing upon us their fiery gifts that carry a message of 'wisdom through the awful grace of God'.

And if we're getting too Biblical for your taste, dear readers, it's because even that notorious manuscript of our times has cosmic catastrophe written all over it.
Sodom and Gomorrah may have been destroyed by debris from a comet, startling new archaeological and astronomical research suggests. Another bombardment from space may have brought on the Dark Ages. [...]

The conference, on natural catastrophes during Bronze Age civilisations, will bring together astronomers, archaeologists, geologists and other scientists to try to find an explanation for the near-simultaneous fall of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, the Sumerian civilisation in Mesopotamia and the Harrapin Civilisation of the Indus Valley. In all, some 40 cities are thought to have disappeared, in a series of catastrophes. [...]

Dr Victor Clube, senior research fellow in astrophysics at Oxford, says the Biblical account accords well with similar events in Babylonian records. He has calculated that the Earth would have passed through a particularly dense cloud of debris - the Taurid meteorite stream, thought to have resulted from the break-up of a comet 40,000 years ago - between 2200 and 2000BC.

This happened again between 400 and 600AD and may have led to the fall of Rome and the Dark Ages. when contemporaries report "fires of righteous vengeance" falling from the sky.

The Taurid Stream is not due to return until the end of the next millennium but Dr Clube says that similar bombardments from other debris could occur in the meantime. "There is danger in the sky," he warns, "and people would be right to be afraid."
We are NOT trying to "spread fear and panic". People are very stressed at this point in time, in general, and we believe that the ultimate source of this stress lies in our deepest memories of cyclic catastrophes brought on by cometary bombardment of some form or another. Much strength and creative resourcefulness can be found even in the most dire and dark situations. Forewarned is forearmed, and the spear of truth and knowledge is sharper than the psychopathic Powers that Be's dagger of deception.

From Clube and Napier's Cosmic Winter, we learn that:
The Pleistocene ice epoch began about 2.5 million years ago, consistent with a sudden influx of comets from the disturbed cloud, although mountain glaciers were beginning to extend even before then. This epoch, like others which have occurred in Earth history, is broken up into a series of very erratic ice ages, each of duration typically 10,000 to 100,000 years.

Again, these timescales are about those associated with the intermittent arrival and disintegration of the greatest comets, although no great precision can be put on the figures.

The last ice age ended just over 10,000 years ago. We are therefore, at the moment, living in a warm interglacial period. Interspersing such warm periods, however, are short cooling episodes, very sudden in onset, and lasting typically ten to a hundred years. During these episodes the Earth's climate plunges into glacial severity.

Such cooling episodes may be of great human consequence and will be discussed presently; for the moment we note only that for the first time there is a scientific basis for a catastrophic interpretation of human history; and we begin to discern that the threat from the sky may have a wintry aspect.
The imminent Ice Age is of course another factor that will result in the dissolution of the current civilization's way of life. So we're not only talking about a 'death by fire!' As Robert Frost so poignantly expressed:

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

This poem is not merely an attempt to add a poetic touch to an otherwise 'cut and dried' or cynical depiction of what awaits us just around the corner. Let's just say that if cosmic or other catastrophes mirror the human experience, and if this observation is even remotely true, judging from what is currently happening on the third rock from the Sun, we are way overdue for some 'balance restoration', where Mother Nature takes charge and does some extensive 'housecleaning'.

But back to the issue at hand.

Some mainstream verification of what Sott.net has been saying for years is finally coming through the information blackout, with the UK's Daily Mail reporting in April, 2010 that the last Ice Age was caused by cometary bombardment. A similar rarity occurred in February, 2010 as mainstream media "revealed" how a swarm of comet debris caused the 'Dark Ages' circa 500 AD.

Bill Napier, as well as Victor Clube, deserve major recognition for their dedication in putting many of the puzzle pieces together. The Cycle of Cosmic Catastrophes by Firestone, West and Warwick-Smith is the seminal book on the Younger Dryas Impact Event at the end of the last Ice Age.

But besides older comets that break up and leave debris trails through which Earth periodically passes, Laura Knight-Jadczyk's tireless research has led us to consider the cyclical mechanism by which comets from the Oort Cloud surrounding the outer solar system are knocked into the inner solar system in the first place. An article from February, 2010, 'Getting WISE about Nemesis,' corroborates her research:
Our solar system is surrounded by a vast collection of icy bodies called the Oort Cloud. If our Sun were part of a binary system in which two gravitationally-bound stars orbit a common center of mass, this interaction could disturb the Oort Cloud on a periodic basis, sending comets whizzing towards us.
Considering the above information, let us pose a question. For every instance of space traffic we do spot, how many go unnoticed? Only by chance did amateur astronomer Nick Howes capture images of a comet exploding in March, 2010, an event completely missed by anyone else.

The steady increase in the number of fireball sightings, together with research which reveals that our environment is constantly affected by interaction with comet debris and cosmic radiation, tells us that our Big Blue Marble is once again on the threshold of encountering a cosmic storm. In fact, we're long overdue for the Big One. But don't expect our dear leaders to inform us of this anytime soon. As Laura Knight-Jadczyk has written elsewhere:
If we can't stop an asteroid or comet from hitting us, do you think they'll panic the public by announcing an impending collision beforehand? Nevertheless, panicking the public is de riguer for the Powers That Be, but only for those things they can manage. Global warming that would slowly play out over decades is the ideal problem for those seeking power: the ever more dire warnings feed into the controllers' hands as they use it to justify ever higher military spending, dismantling of civil liberties, more control for corporations, and "preemptive" invasions in the quest for dwindling resources.

What the public doesn't realize is that this may very well be all in preparation for when that first comet swarm panics us little earthlings who have no underground bases, no stockpiles of supplies, no protocol for surviving such an event, to emerge on the other side still in control.

Indeed, it is highly unlikely that world leaders at the highest level are not aware of the threat of a meteorite impact. We have been suggesting that they are aware, and have been for a very long time. The reader might wish to peruse Laura Knight-Jadczyk's Comets and Catastrophe series.

They are also aware that they cannot do anything to prevent impacts such as those described in the above article. And so, they marginalize the subject and feign disinterest, all the while they are making their own preparations to survive.

There is much evidence to strongly suggest that much of the landmass of Western Europe was destroyed in a meteorite impact around 540 AD, ushering in what is known today as "the Dark Ages". Further evidence from the study of fossilized tree rings and ice core samples, not to mention historical records, suggests that this most recent event was but one of many that have happened in a cyclical pattern throughout the course of human history.

As far as we know, no human has ever got out of this place "alive". Perhaps now that the Universe, by posing a clear and present danger to our very existence, is drawing attention to that existence, we might all begin, even at this late hour, to ponder just what the real meaning of our lives, individually and collectively, really is.

On this note, we finally come to the point of recapitulating the past year's (and up to this day) marker events. Ladies and Gentlemen, brace for impact.

We will begin with NASA having developed a new telescope, the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). The telescope has been scanning the skies to locate brown dwarfs, including the Sun's hypothesized Dark Star companion - referred to as 'Nemesis' (first proposed in 1983 by Richard A. Muller, physicist at the University of California, Berkeley). In just six weeks the telescope has already found 16 previously unknown asteroids that swing close by Earth.

WISE is expected to find up to 1000 Near Earth Objects, but astronomers estimate that the number of unknown objects with masses large enough to cause significant damage upon impact runs into the tens of thousands.

A report in late 2010 confirmed what we have suspected all along: the number of comets entering the inner solar system is on the rise:
It took SOHO ten years to spot its first thousand comets, but only five more to find the next thousand. That's due partly to increased participation from comet hunters and work done to optimize the images for comet-sighting, but also due to an unexplained systematic increase in the number of comets around the sun. Indeed, December alone has seen an unprecedented 37 new comets spotted so far, a number high enough to qualify as a "comet storm."
And a "comet storm" it was, with 25 comets crashing into the Sun in the space of ten days at the beginning of January:
Sundiving comets - a.k.a. "sungrazers" - are nothing new. SOHO typically sees one every few days, plunging inward and disintegrating as solar heat sublimes its volatile ices. "But 25 comets in just ten days, that's unprecedented," says Battams.[...]

"Since SOHO was launched there has been a trend of increasing numbers of Kreutz sungrazers," he points out. A table in Knight's 2008 PhD thesis shows SOHO detecting 69 sungrazers in 1997 compared to 200 sungrazers in 2010. "The increase is significant and cannot be accounted for by improvements in SOHO or the increasing skill of comet hunters."

What are the possible repercussions of such an impressive display for us Earthlings if, according to NASA, we are safe as long as it doesn't fall on our heads, and the chances for a head-on collision happening are pretty slim? By the way, if you want our take on the value of NASA's input, we would advise them to lay off the drugs before telling us how it is when it comes to extraterrestrial affairs.

As it happens, one of the biggest lies told for centuries, and which affects everything, especially in science, is that whatever happens on this planet originates on this planet. Except for a few "rare" and potentially destructive events such as massive solar flares, we are supposedly pretty much isolated from anything that happens in our solar system. Common sense tells us that everything is interconnected, but for some peculiar reason this connectedness apparently ends somewhere in the upper reaches of the atmosphere. Talk about confused minds!

It's this fundamental confusion that provides the opening for accepting nonsensical ideas such as global warming. But in a roundabout way, Al Gore's tall tales are not that outlandish. In fact, we might say that he is telling a half-truth. According to him, the world awaits
"an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it." How awful a calamity? "The displacement of hundreds of millions of climate refugees, civil unrest, chaos and the collapse of governance in many developing countries, large-scale crop failures and the spread of deadly diseases."
Image
© UnknownNoctilucent or "night-shining" clouds
And this part is probably true. What is not true is that it is due to global warming, but rather to climate change brought on by changes in our cosmic environment, i.e. The Ice Age Cometh.

What we suspect has really been happening, based on our research thus far, is that the upper atmosphere is cooling because it is being loaded with comet dust, which shows up in the form of noctilucent clouds and other upper atmospheric formations.

Magnificent and mesmerizing noctilucent clouds (also called polar mesospheric clouds), were once considered to be rare. But now they are puzzling scientists with their recent dramatic changes. Apparently, the clouds are growing brighter, are seen more frequently, are visible at ever lower latitudes and are now appearing even during the day. If scientists were allowed to conduct honest interdisciplinary research, such changes wouldn't be a mystery.

They would be able to figure out that comet dust is electrically-charged which is causing the earth's rotation to slow marginally. The slowing of the rotation is reducing the magnetic field, opening earth to more dangerous cosmic radiation and stimulating more volcanism. The volcanism under the sea is heating the sea water which is heating the lower atmosphere and loading it with moisture.

The moisture hits the cooler upper atmosphere and contributes to a deadly mix that inevitably leads to an Ice Age, preceded for a short period by a rapid increase of greenhouse gases and "hot pockets" in the lower atmosphere, heavy rains, hail, snow, and floods.

Expect this trend to continue but don't believe in "man-made global warming". Whatever warming there has been, it's really a prelude to the way Ice Ages begin. Let's hope that there aren't any catastrophically large chunks in that stream of comet dust cycling through our solar system. The outlook isn't very promising in this regard, as we'll see further on.

An unimaginable calamity indeed.

Recall this image of two suns that were caught on camera last month in China.

Image
© CTVImage of second sun in China
We've heard some suggest that it's a kind of 'sundog' which forms when sunlight refracts through ice crystals and produces striking halo effects, but since it is not an isolated or exclusively winter phenomenon, we propose that "two suns" and other similar anomalous phenomena are a 'mirage' effect of some sort whereby the sun is being refracted by the changed atmosphere. That is, a combination of possible comet dust loading and changes in the layers of the atmosphere.

Besides, when was the last time you heard about "two suns" being reported or observed? This is very strong evidence for major changes in the atmosphere and the question you've got to be asking yourself is, why?

Other indications of something radically different about our atmosphere are vivid contrails left by rocket launches, like this one filmed over Kopeysk in southern Russia, just over the border from Kazakhstan, last December:

Whether these are US ICBMs being launched or, as seems more likely given their locations, Russian rockets like the one that produced a weird spiral effect off the coast of Norway during the same week last December, what makes them so dramatic is the interaction of their exhaust with comet dust in the upper atmosphere, causing the trails to dissipate slowly as if suspended in a denser atmospheric solution than normal.

Here is another example of Space Shuttle Discovery producing a colorful show no less impressive than noctilucent clouds (think there is a connection?).

Also, watch the following video of the launch of the Soyuz 2 rocket carrying the Glonass-K satellite to appreciate how similar it is in appearance to the 'harbingers of doom' with a tail.

Be they rocket launches or cometary arrivals - the amazing displays they're producing in the sky are telling us something about the change of its composition. Laura Knight-Jadczyk wrote recently about the smokescreen of chemtrails, most of which are not chemtrails at all; the suspension of jets' contrails in the atmosphere are another sign telling us that the very sky itself is changing.

We try to be extra careful about all kind of ideas that are being propagated in the alternative scene, which after thorough analysis and investigation invariably turn out to be on par with the mainstream media's lies and are nothing but COINTELPRO red herrings adding more smoke to the matter. So-called "Chemtrails" are one of them. As Laura Knight-Jadczyk wrote this in the end of her article :
I think that I have presented more than sufficient food for thought on the topic of so-called "chemtrails" to suggest that, yes, there is something really wicked going on, but it ain't what you think. In fact, it's worse. YES, something is VERY wrong in our skies - but it is not chemtrails. The CONTRAILS themselves have changed and THAT is a huge warning about our atmosphere and our climate and the implications are a lot scarier than if some nutjobs in the Pentagon were just trying to poison us. Heck, we could survive that. Most of life on earth will NOT survive what these contrails portend!
Here are our candidates for the "Fire in the Sky" Hall of Fame for 2010:

"Like something out of Armageddon": Fireball blazes over Ireland

Now, we know that astronomers like to portray these events as either 'extremely rare' or 'extremely common', depending on their agenda, and also note that the quality of recording in some cases leaves much to be desired. But there was another curious article about meteorite impacts across the Atlantic. Apparently, meteorites are common in Northern Alberta. Is it possible that meteorite sightings or impacts are more common in some places than others? And if so, what might be the reason?
Whyte realized that Alberta is rich in meteorites and he cites examples like the 1,100-year-old crater near Whitecourt; finds near Ferintosh, Vulcan, Kinsella, Mayerthorpe, Bruderheim; the nationally acclaimed Edmonton meteorite to the almost mystical Iron Creek meteor. The list is endless.

But none of this is new. Meteor hunters have been scouring the province for nigh a century and have gone to great lengths to find these extraterrestrials, even plumbing the depths of Lake Wabamun or slogging through countless square kilometres of bogs and forest on a hunch of a reported sighting.

The '60s were a golden decade in Alberta's meteor hunting history. No fewer than seven were found in an eight-year span, a record unequalled in Canada until the 21 Century.
Moving on to an enormous fireball that exploded over eastern Europe in March, 2010 and was seen from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Witnesses described the light as "brighter than the full moon" and accompanied by "a loud noise which words cannot describe."

The shockwave from the explosion actually shook the security cameras which captured the moment night became day:
Inhabitants from the Slovak town of Košice were frightened Sunday night by a bizzare light in the sky and a loud explosion followed by a shock wave. According to astronomers apparently an object from space collided with the Earth and shortly before impact most likely exploded in the atmosphere. [...]

"At around eleven thirty a light appered in the courtyard window and slowly began to glow brightly," stated a resident from the village Jasov near Košice. "Not like lightning, but really slowly, until the room was lit like during the day." She continues, "we thought it strange that the dog didn't bark."

"After that the light faded and we heard the sound. The noise was similar to drumming, we felt pressure in our ears like when you stand next to speakers. It lasted at least a minute," the resident of Jasovanka described the Sunday event.

According to Chochol the object entered the atmosphere where friction caused it to heat up and explode at an altitude of roughly 30 kilometres above the surface. The explosion was accompanied by light that at its maximum brightness was a thousand times brighter than a full moon.
The spectacular-fireball-of-the-year award must go to the "huge green fireball" witnessed by thousands across several northern US states that left a trail of fires along a one-mile stretch of forest in southern Wisconsin, US. Meteorites were later found:

And finally, we came across this video footage of the fireball that excited South Africans in November, 2009. Now we can see what all the fuss was about!

Solar Eruptions

Like the planets, the sun also rotates, though not as a single body - it spins differentially, rotating faster at its equator than at its poles. As we have outlined elsewhere, some cosmic force (or combination of forces) appears to be slowing down the rotation of our planet slightly, enough to weaken the magnetic field and open up the planet.

This is releasing methane in vast quantities, increasing volcanic activity and producing more earthquakes. The next question to consider is whether this same force is also slowing down the sun's rotation? It would certainly explain its behavioral changes. What is the hidden mechanism of the solar system that can affect the rotation of celestial bodies in this way, particularly one as large as the sun? Something Wicked This Way Comes.

The above New Scientist article is just one of many we have noticed creeping into the field recently. There seems to be a big push underway to prepare people for major disturbances that will be explained as having originated from the sun:
NASA warns solar flares from 'huge space storm' will cause devastation

Daily Telegraph
Tuesday, 15 June 2010

Britain could face widespread power blackouts and be left without critical communication signals for long periods of time, after the earth is hit by a once-in-a-generation "space storm", Nasa has warned...

Senior space agency scientists believe the Earth will be hit with unprecedented levels of magnetic energy from solar flares after the Sun wakes "from a deep slumber" sometime around 2013.

In a new warning, Nasa said the super storm would hit like "a bolt of lightning" and could cause catastrophic consequences for the world's health, emergency services and national security unless precautions are taken. [...]
Bolt of lightning? May not be only a figure of speech, as we will shortly see.

Geomagnetic storms from the sun may well increase in the years ahead (like the following two recent examples) and cause havoc with terran systems, but that misses the point that the source of these interruptions is not the sun itself but the cosmic factor that is causing the sun to behave in this way. Like the shadows in Plato's Cave, people are going to be focused on the sun, oblivious to the storm coming from deep space.

Meanwhile NASA is busy preparing to shoot lasers at space junk. Does anyone else see that there is something wrong with their priorities?

Our Neighbors Have Been Renovating

Last May, Jupiter's South Equatorial Belt, disappeared from view. Jupiter's famous Great Red Spot is typically found along the edges of this belt. The belt's disappearance was attributed to a deck of white clouds made of ammonia ice that formed when the dry, downwelling winds that normally keep the region clear of high clouds died down. In November, scientists noticed that the belt was re-emerging due to a shift in the cloud cover.

On Saturn, a vast thunderstorm that erupted during the closing weeks of 2010 is still going strong. According to the amateur astronomer Christopher Go, It looks like a comet plowing through Saturn's northern hemisphere".
Researchers call the storm the "northern electrostatic disturbance" because (1) it is in Saturn's northern hemisphere and (2) it is strongly charged with lightning. Receivers onboard NASA's Cassini spacecraft are picking up radio crackles each time a bolt discharges--much like the static you hear on a car radio when driving through an electrical storm on Earth.

Behold the new excitement in astronomy circles of the scientific community, because apparently there is a hunt going on for a gas giant up to four times the mass of Jupiter that is thought to be lurking in the outer Oort Cloud, the most remote region of the solar system. Scientists believe the proof of Tyche's existence has already been gathered by a Nasa space telescope, WISE, and is just waiting to be analysed.

Image

But adding a new planet to our solar system after disqualifying Pluto is not what drew our attention to this news. The article linked above says the following:
[Tyche's] name was chosen in reference to an earlier hypothesis, now largely abandoned, that the Sun might be part of a binary star system with a dim companion, tentatively called Nemesis, that was responsible for mass extinctions on Earth. In myth, Tyche was the good sister of Nemesis.
It won't be the first time, as we will see, that scientists choose (or are being encouraged?) to abandon a perfectly sound hypothesis for something that requires a fair amount of mental acrobatics, and after years of a so-called research, still leaves us in the dark. Who needs a cometary bombardment to realize that we are in the Dark Ages of creative thinking! Read the following two articles to learn more about our sun's dark companion:

Buddha is quoted as saying, "This life of separateness may be compared to a dream, a phantasm, a bubble, a shadow, a drop of dew, a flash of lightning." But in our case, lightning, or electrical phenomena, is exactly the binding force that may explain many of the perceived mysteries and inconsistencies in weather, on Earth and in Space. Remember how "everything is made of stardust"? But what if everything is also highly electrical in nature? Radical thinking, you say? No, it's just one of the good hypotheses we abandoned, and now it's coming back to light after years of spinning wheels, and due to the necessity of explaining accumulating "anomalous" observations.

Donald E. Scott says, that it is becoming clear that 99% of the universe is made up not of "invisible matter", but rather, of matter in the plasma state.
Mainstream astrophysicists are continually "surprised" by new data sent back by space probes and orbiting telescopes. That ought to be a clue that something is wrong. New information always sends theoretical astrophysicists "back to the drawing board". In light of this, it is curious that they have such "cock-sure" attitudes about the infallibility of their present models. Those models seem to require major "patching up" every time a new space probe sends back data.

When confronted by observations that cast doubt on the validity of their theories, astrophysicists have circled their wagons and conjured up pseudo-scientific invisible entities such as neutron stars, weakly interacting massive particles, strange energy, and black holes. When confronted by solid evidence such as Halton Arp's photographs that contradict the Big Bang Theory, their response is to refuse him access to any major telescope in the U.S.

And what about our "dirty snowballs in space"? How do they fit the picture? Apparently, the fiery harbingers of doom once had a more dignified description. In fact, the electric nature of comets, or electric comet theory has its roots in many 19th century speculations about comets. As Michael Goodspeed writes, by the second half of the 19th century, many scientists believed that comet tails were fundamentally electrical.

For example, the August 11, 1882 English Mechanic and World of Science, wrote of cometary tails: "...There seems to be a rapidly growing feeling amongst physicists that both the self-light of comets and the phenomena of their tails belong to the order of electrical phenomena."
A major catalyst for independent re-consideration of electricity and magnetism in space came in 1950, with the publication of Immanuel Velikovsky's World in Collision. The controversial theorist had proposed an extraordinary idea. He suggested that, only a few thousand years ago, the planet Venus appeared in the sky as a great comet.

The theory was ridiculed by the scientific mainstream, since all well-accredited scientists "knew" that gases could not escape from a planet-sized body to produce the kind of "cometary tail" Velikovsky had envisioned. Velikovsky was not ignorant of the "escape velocity" cited by physicists, but his examination of ancient records suggested to him that our ancestors witnessed extremely intense electrical activity in the sky, including electrical arcing between planets moving on unstable courses.

Velikovsky said that the only way the evidence could be reconciled with current scientific knowledge would be through consideration of electromagnetism.
But since Connecting the Dots is about reporting the signs and their relation to the bigger picture, we will use the work of James McCanney and his research on Planet-X, electrical comets theory and the electrical nature of earth changes to summarize the possible effects of electrically charged cometary bodies on our planet. Unsurprisingly, James McCanney, similar to Velikovsky, suffered the fate of any scientist who attempts to go against the grain. He wrote:
Today we are finding the remnants of ... ancient societies. There were huge cities in what we now call South America long before the so-called Ice Age or the alleged crossing of the Bering Strait by early hunting tribes. What we are learning is that the history that is being taught as "standard knowledge" is totally wrong. There is a tremendous effort in numerous sectors of modern society to keep the truth of our real past from being told. The seats of knowledge in our universities, certain religious centers and the governments of western society are doing their very best to prevent this information from reaching the general public. They fear that this knowledge will set people free from the domination they are currently under.
Read Planet-X, Comets and Earth Changes by J.M. McCanney, an extensive review of his work that will explain many of the concepts of the electrical universe, like the plasma discharge model, stellar or solar capacitor, induced electric dipole red-shift, etc.

What is important for us to understand is that a comet doesn't need to collide with Earth for us to experience its effects. Large solar flares triggered by electrical interactions with comets, electrical currents flowing to Earth, and gravitational tidal waves can all take their toll. This "action-at-a-distance" phenomenon can cause extreme weather and storms, volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, pollution events (e.g., pandemics, plagues, "Black Death", raining fire, etc.), pole shifts, mass extinctions, meteor showers, mountain building, and huge electric discharges between Earth and a large, passing comet.

Sunward Spike
Comet Arend-Roland's sunward spike - a high energy electron beam connecting the discharging comet and the Sun.
Also, here's a list of possible effects, according to McCanney, that can occur months and years before the actual close passage of a Planet-X-type object (or planet-sized comet):
  • Violent storms with excessive lightning, wind and water (drawn in from space in the manner comets do)
  • Degradation or complete elimination of infrastructures and facilities
  • Groups of cyclones, destroying housing
  • Torrential rains and mudslides, causing mass flooding
  • Strong winds and land hurricanes, tearing up Earth and vegetation (which will later form coal)
  • Erratic weather, like snow in the tropics
  • Influx of chemicals such as water, ammonia, and hydrocarbons
  • Contaminated water supplies
  • Visible electric discharges between planets and moons
  • Colorful auroras, trumpet- and whistle-like sounds caused by discharging
  • Frequent magnetic reversals allowing radioactive particles to enter our atmosphere, causing gene mutations and new species
  • Blotting out of the Sun leading to mini-Ice Age
  • Meteor stream impacts
  • "Plagues" as electric currents force insects and vermin out of the ground
  • "Pillar of fire" as Earth forms an electrical connection with Planet X, scorching the Earth and producing deafening noise
  • If the object is larger than Earth, the loss of atmosphere and oceans; if smaller, massive pollution events
  • Physical pole-shift, displacing continents and causing the flash-freezing of animals (e.g., the Wooly Mammoths) and causing earthquakes and the eruption of old and new volcanoes
  • The above resulting in an altered orbit, rotation, and tilt of the Earth, requiring a re-calibrating of our calendar (for which McCanney gives practical instruction in the pamphlet)
All the shared above information comes after years of tedious and laboring process. Understanding our reality and its mechanisms is not an easy task and often not for the fainthearted, or for those who give up too easily, and instead of persevering in their search for truth, settle for readily handled answers by the system that is in place to prevent anyone from getting a glimpse of things as they really are in the first place! It's a sad and ultimately tragic state of affairs.

Here is an example from Superluminal Communications dated October 31, 2001, that shows how much time and continuous research it takes to properly utilize 10% of inspiration and see if there is any actual back-up for it in reality. As it turns out, there is, and much more.
Q: (A) Now, the major, the change of the orientation of the axis, what would be the main trigger, force, or activity, or what kind of event will trigger this change of the axis?
A: Cometary bodies.
Q: (L) Are the planets of the solar system going to kind of shift out of their orbits and run amok? Is that a possibility?
A: Yes.
Q: (A) Due to cometary orbits alone?
A: Yes. Twin sun also.
Q: (A) When we speak about these cometary bodies, are we speaking about impacts?
A: Some will hit.
Q: (A) What would be - if any - the role played by electric phenomena?
A: Twin sun grounds current flow through entire system setting the "motor" running.
Q: (L) Does this mean that all of the different bodies of the solar system are like parts of some kind of giant machine, and once this electric current flows through them, depending on their positions relative to one another at the time this current flows, that it has some influence on the way the machine runs?
A: Yes, more or less.
O Comet Elenin, Where Art Thou?

Electrifying times are ahead of us, and one of the events worth paying attention to due to its possibly catastrophic effects on Earth, is the approach of Comet Elenin. It is called Elenin since it was discovered by Leonid Elenin, and its closest approach to the Sun is scheduled in the first half of September, 2011. There are also a few things about this comet that are extremely interesting in view of the plasma comet theory of James McCanney, and we already noticed that it has started to take its toll by disturbing the solar capacitor and stimulating electrical flow.

Just prior to the March 15 alignment of Comet Elenin, there had been an earthquake in China, a big one in Japan (8.9), a new late winter storm in Turkey and Greece and yet another volcanic eruption in Indonesia. We noted an X-class solar flare on March 9th, too. All of these things may be related to the approach of Comet Elenin.

Disclosure and the Thinning of the Veil

One thing the alternative community does seem to be paying attention to is UFOs. They should, as we are among the first to recognize that all evidence points to the existence of non-human intelligent beings present in or around our planet with not much love and truth to share with us cattle people. Beings which not only have far greater technological capabilities than us but which also seem to come not exactly from outer space but from a higher dimension.

For this reason, these aliens might be better described as 'demons' or 'monsters' than 'extraterrestrials'. If this is the first time you have come across this admittedly strange idea, you might be feeling it is too much to accept in one go. We wish we had the space to explain it thoroughly in this piece, but we don't. Instead, we refer you to this excellent video documentary which summarizes the main points.

Aliens
© Getty"Aliens are currently all around us, and are watching us all the time," Mr Filipov told Bulgarian media.
It does bother us, however, when we see that some of the best ufological minds (and others) are so taken by the idea of an 'imminent disclosure'. You know, the idea that one day the man behind the curtain who has his main office buried under Area 51 will decide that we, the common people, have the right to know after all, so he will just kindly pass on the info to Obama, who will in turn reveal all they know about UFOs and aliens.

As if the people at the highest and most secretive levels of the elite felt remorse for lying to us so consistently and for so many years. Or as if they could just not control the truth any more and they just had to let it go.

Certainly, documents are gradually being released and reports of sightings are more and more openly discussed in the media, and with less mockery. There has been a recent spike in references to UFO, extraterrestrial and exopolitical topics across the mainstream media.

The rumour mill has been put into overdrive as fake 'events' whip up hysteria through newspaper articles and TV programs. Are the Powers That Be preparing people for 'disclosure'? Watch this BBC advertisement for a very thinly disguised message from our "space brothers".

As the frequency of UFO sightings and related high strangeness factor steadily increases each month [view Our Hanted Planet here for a listing of sightings, photographs and videos], we notice a significant spike in mainstream media articles about "extra-terrestrial" visitors. An example is the British Daily Telegraph. Covering the British Royal Society conference on "The detection of extra-terrestrial life", The Telegraph's articles surprisingly refrained from the stereotypical little-green-men-from-Mars caricatures usually deployed to ridicule the millions of UFO witnesses, and instead addressed some of the issues fairly intelligently by citing the research of astronomers and physicists. See:

The search for aliens should start on Earth not outer space, says scientist
Aliens might not be friendly, warns astronomer
Aliens 'already exist on earth', Bulgarian scientists claim
Aliens are likely to look and behave like us

But do not for a second believe that if a 'revelation' happens, it will be anything other than a mix of half-truths and lies. As always. If we ever witness 'disclosure' during our lifetime, it might look something more like this:

In Disclosure and Comets, Laura Knight-Jadzcyk makes an interesting point regarding disclosure.
With all the rumblings about 'Disclosure' going on all around, I can't help but wonder why those who are interested in this topic seem to be missing the biggest cover-up of all: cometary/asteroid disruptors/destroyers of history...

Some of the recent 'Disclosure' trends seem to include information from 'government insiders' who have told their stories, or whispered hints of amazing technology just waiting for all of us when this 'inevitable' event happens. Sorry, but I think its all wishful thinking. Why? Because what is interesting to me is the fact that, with all the tracking of government documents and conspiracies and so on, it seems that no one has mentioned to the purveyors of 'Disclosure' just how interested the government actually is in cometary impacts. [...]

The approach of those promoting 'Disclosure' reflects the general lack of knowledge of the problems we face that are real and far more pressing than aliens on our planet. Mike Baillie points out that there is still enormous ignorance of the dangers even within the archaeological community. There is still no archaeological or historical paradigm to deal with the historical presence and influence of impacts.

This is particularly troublesome in regards to 'Disclosure' since strange sightings in the skies and strange beings and events historically accompany cometary events. It's as though there is some dimensional doorway-opening capacity connected to the comets/asteroids.
Disclosure, you see, not only does not have to be truthful (half-truthful would do) - it can also be used to distract us from other cosmic threats.

Notice that Laura Knight-Jadczyk comments that strange beings come as a bonus with the cometary package. In view of this, here is a selection of some of the latest high strangeness articles that caught our attention:

The End of the World as We Know It

SOTT is often being accused of spreading fear and negativity, and SOTT editors are being called preachers of doom. We are of an opinion that our accusers are lacking in basic reading comprehension, since every article, no matter how serious and alarming, has threads of hope and love for the truth penetrating it. This CTD edition is no different. We hope and actively work toward something better than the norm of mediocrity, and sincerely wish that our efforts benefit our readers as well.

Besides, unless your brain has already turned to tapioca from believing lies, if you take a long and hard look around you, it will become clear that our world is in an extremely dire state, and nothing less than a complete reevaluation and active steps toward something different is going to cut it. In this respect, whatever comes our way is more of a blessing, because just like with any other addiction that one has trouble in overcoming, breaking long-seated structures requires external help and support.

What awaits us isn't going to be easy, but as Charles Caleb Colton said, "Times of great calamity and confusion have been productive for the greatest minds. The purest ore is produced from the hottest furnace. The brightest thunder-bolt is elicited from the darkest storm."

We also choose to approach the situation with humor, albeit, emergency room type of humor. When the stage is set, lights are out and curtains are up, better take a front seat and enjoy the show.
