LAURA KNIGHT-JADCZYK AND JOE QUINN
Since the 9/11 attacks, no book has provided a satisfactory answer as to WHY the attacks occurred and who was ultimately responsible for carrying them out - until now.
for some reason certain punctuation marks eliminate text???
should have read in 1st para; wow this could become a major article discussion realm here with the "dont knows" on one side and the "who knows" on the other side.
That's quite an assumption that advanced alien civilizations are all like us, ie, "acquisitive and resource-hungry". That may be true for all 3rd density STS civilizations (like ours), but what about 3rd density (and higher) STO civilizations?
The problem with our beloved human scientists is that they only deal with the information coming into their 5 physical senses. This creates a situation where an almost infinite number of solutions to a particular problem are neglected and ignored. Of course, this is a natural human response, and certainly understandable.
In other words, modern science would benefit by considering not only physical evolution (of our biological systems) but also the evolution of CONSCIOUSNESS. However, unless something is "tangeable", modern science completely overlooks it. The principle of Occam's razor still applies, but only when ALL possibilities/facts are considered.
"British scientist Simon Conway Morris believes there are only two possibilities for alien life; either we're alone or aliens exist, and they are out to get us. "
This guy should NOT be referred to as a scientist. If those are the only choices that he can possibly come up with, whoever gave him his degree should be beaten.
The MOD had a study in the 60's done that explained how many species of aliens they believed there were at the time, and which were benevolent which were hostile and which simply didn't care. If Simon can't find that report, or has never heard of it, he really shouldn't be allowed to speak.
/facepalm.
I suppose you'd expect that though. Interesting to know that Stephen Hawking thinks that these beings are more likely to want to 'mine our planet for natural resources than getting to know us'.
So.... he does not consider human beings as a 'resource' then? Why not?
Quote from the article "But the fact that we haven't run across E.T. yet"
Who says we haven't?
This was a very large assumption to make, just because he has not run across E.T. in a manner that he EXPECTS to run across E.T.
It would be good for him to read the research of John Keel for good studies on different ways we may have run across E.T. There is evidence pointing to hyper-dimensional realities and not strictly space ships landing on the front lawn of the White House to start "mining resources".
aliens do exist , different types, different intentions. But they certainly aren't out there to get us. First of all we got enough defenses to blow THEM up not the other way round. Secondly we already cooperate but that's classified info. And thirdly if there's a real WMD on this planet that's us.
They talk about them just as being technolyzed better than us. Like having a bigger technology aproach, but not having spiritual advance, like emotional they where just like us but living longer and with more hittlers, wordl wars, psychopaths and etc in their lives as ETs.
I see that these profesional people tends to think in a similar way, just get out of the box, how many secrets ,stories and things an ET could know?
So it is probably that they would want to destroy us, or helps us, or just know about us.
cubbex that's what V3 said in her comment.
O.K. I created an acct JUST to comment on this particular subject. Aliens (if they are out there) almost absolutely would have no interest in 'mining' our planet or 'conquoring' the human race. Why? think logically... they have the capability to travel LIGHT YEARS and check out ANY of the billions upon billions of planets and asteroids at their disposal so to go out of their way to pester our little ball of mud is ludicrous. It would be the equivalent of going to China and seeking out ONE particular grain of rice and smashing it just 'cuz, well you could! Retarded!
The human race has an over-inflated view of itself to be so self-centered to think that beings with infinitely more capability and resources at their disposal would be that childish and base in their dealings with the Universe.
The ONLY reasons they would stop by and check things out would be studious in nature.... are we interesting because of the way we evolve? our physiology? or maybe our great ineptitude to work together and destroy our habitat?
The other reason I can think of would be that they 'seeded' our race on the planet and periodically check to see how things are progressing... is it a 'success'? are we all they hoped we could be? or is it just random lab-rat crap that they want to check out?
To think that Aliens would expend vast amounts of resources and time to cross inter-stellar space to wipe us out or mine the planet goes beyond any hubris I can imagine. WE ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT! and seeing as it would be Aliens, another sentient life form, doing the checking out, we also wouldnt be that particularly unique in the lifeform department either.
Just my 2 cents..... oh and I thought Hawking was a smarter man than that to think Aliens would come to destroy us... hogwash.
I think Conway Morris has fallen out his pram....of course evolution is predictable...evolution "has been" and "will be" but evolution is not solely in the hands of humans nor will it ever be....as far as "aliens are concerned by argument alone of the vastness of "space" there could always be "aliens" as we call them or galaxy co-beings...its what we dont know that scares the shit out of us and what we know currently should do the same...such ignorance is what stops man from getting ahead...such "splurts" of comment get nowhere...or is this another psyops caper....wow this could become a major article discussion realm here with the on one side and the on the other side.
I prefer to view homosapiens as an evolving specie that when they physically die their energy goes to another realm of the galaxy/or another timespace (where time either exists or not as we know it)...if aggressive aliens exist they would have taken us out longtime ago and that means anihilation.
Chances are and this is an Occhams Razor theme, they are too smart to come messing with the plonkers on earth cos we all suffer permanent aggression and as far as resources are concerned the probability is that the galaxy has a good stock of those which doesnt need any alien group to come gobblin them out here. On top of which their "biology" is probably incompatible with earths atmosphere and the current political situation
We see things only from our perspective (absorb that - it applies to all) we dont even have the answers to our own lives except the age old story of division/conquer/deceit/violence/and bloody money-ititis. Whew!!! what an arrogance and ignorance these people splurt....even Hawkins who I have always admired.
Its like God isnt it....the day that bloke turns up and says "I created man in my own image", then we know for sure that we dont have a hope in hell. Aliens have to be smarter than we cos we arent that smart by a long chalk - travel from far away is a technology we kid ourselves with--- because we send up a few robotic satellites and a few stooges to ponce around in near space suddenly we are "thingamijigs" gift to the galaxy.
Well I may be in for a surprise but I more likely think that Morris and stooges are in for a bigger one. Davis is a lot clearer on the issue....but humans have got a long way to go yet and those "scientists" wont be around to see the big day...
