Multiple members of a white supremacist group in rural Georgia have been charged with killing a ram and posing with its head following a 'ritual sacrifice' that involved them drinking the animal's blood while they were training for a race war.

Five members of The Base were charged earlier this month with killing the ram during what authorities have said was a 'ritual sacrifice' at the group's training camp in the small Georgia town of Rome back in 2019.

Patrik Mathews, William Garfield Bilbrough IV, Brian Mark Lemley Jr., Brandon Gregory Ashley and Duncan Christopher Trimmell have been charged with aggravated animal cruelty by a Floyd County grand jury, according to an indictment obtained by the Rome News-Tribune.

Everyone apart from Trimmell also were charged with livestock theft.

Three other members were charged in the animal's killing last year.

Investigators say the group stole the ram from a local property and tried to kill it with a knife during a meeting on the isolated property back on Halloween in 2019.

The men allegedly ended up shooting the ram and cutting off its head before drinking the animal's blood and posing for photos with it.

Prosecutors said the animal was killed in what they described as a 'Norse-pagan ritual'.

California's Secretary of State has rejected nearly 20% of all the signatures gathered thus far to force a recall election of Governor Gavin Newsom, according to figures released on Monday.

In a statement, Secretary of State Dr. Shirley N. Weber's office announced that "the threshold of verified signatures reported by counties has been met for the recall of Governor Gavin Newsom. The valid signatures in the 10th report are 1,626,042, which exceeds the total of 1,495,709 signatures required. Counties still have until April 29th to verify the validity of any remaining signatures."

In an accompanying table, the Secretary of State reported that in addition to the 1,626,042 valid signatures, the state had rejected 400,575 signatures to date, out of a total number of 2,026,617 signatures gathered.

That means that state officials have rejected 19.8% of the total number of signatures as they have reviewed the recall petitions.

Signatures can be disqualified if signatories are found not to be registered to vote in California, for example, or if they sign more than once.

Florida: Releasing a billion genetically engineered mosquitos in the Keys to reduce species-carrying diseases is 'TERRORISM'

The Florida Keys will soon be buzzing with close to a billion 'fraken-squitoes' - gene-hacked mosquitoes aimed at eradicating a disease carrying mosquito.

The Florida Keys Mosquito Control District (FKMCD) and Oxitec, a British biotech company, are starting the first-ever U.S. release of genetically engineered (GE) Aedes aegypti mosquitoes this week, which will see up to a billion over a two-year period. The project aims to reduce the numbers of Aedes aegypti, one of several mosquito species that can carry diseases including dengue, chikungunya, Zika and yellow fever.

Floridians, however, are calling on the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to end 'this live experiment' saying they are being subjected to terrorism by the FKMCD.

The trial is set to begin this week, with the first phase releasing up to 144,000 GE mosquitoes over the next 12 weeks. Ultimately, up to a billion will be released in Monroe County.

Comment: Contrary to the hype, this similar experiment did not go well in Brazil a few years ago.
The modified pests will be placed in six locations in the Florida Keys, with some 12,000 expected to emerge each week for the next 12 weeks. The project was approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Sunshine State and the local mosquito control district's board, according to the Herald.

Go woke, lose clout: Census shows Texas, Florida have gained congressional seats, California loses for the first time

The nation's political center of gravity shifted further to the Republican-led South and West on Monday, with Texas, Florida and other Sun Belt states gaining congressional seats while chillier climes like New York and Ohio lost them.

Altogether, the U.S. population rose to 331,449,281, the Census Bureau said, a 7.4 increase that was the second-slowest ever.

The new allocation of congressional seats came in the U.S. Census Bureau's first release of data from a 2020 headcount. The numbers chart familiar American migration patterns, and confirm one historic marker: For the first time in 170 years of statehood, California is losing a congressional seat, a result of slowed migration to the nation's most populous state, which was once a symbol of the country's expansive frontier.

Comment: CNBC has not been remiss in their assignment to diss Trump and conservatives in general, but it is still a fact that Democrat powerhouse states are hemorrhaging residents and with that goes losing political clout in Washington.

Fauci gets mad at Joe Rogan for daring to say that young and healthy people should NOT get vaccinated

After facing backlash for saying he would not recommend young, healthy people get Covid-19 vaccines, Joe Rogan was targeted by two White House officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, who blasted his "incorrect" comments.

During a Wednesday appearance on 'The Today Show,' Fauci was asked about Rogan's comments, which received heavy backlash on social media after a clip from Rogan's podcast went viral on Twitter.

"You're talking about yourself in a vacuum," Fauci said of Rogan. "You're worried about yourself getting infected and the likelihood that you're not going to get any symptoms. But you can get infected, and will get infected, if you put yourself at risk."

The infectious disease expert argued that younger, healthier people can have the virus and be asymptomatic, but still help spread Covid-19 to others.

Union chief says Albuquerque, New Mexico cops leaving riot team in droves: 'Tired of being political pawns'

Fed up with being second-guessed and used as political pawns, over a dozen officers from the Albuquerque, New Mexico PD have resigned from the riot control squad this month, head of the police union told RT in an interview.

"What is going on is all about trust. The Albuquerque police officers do not trust the administration they work for. There is no morale," said Shaun Willoughby.

Seventeen officers, one lieutenant and two sergeants have resigned from the APD Emergency Response Team (ERT) earlier this month, after the city authorities suspended a sergeant over an incident at a public demonstration. The unit had arrested an armed man who taunted protesters, but the authorities declined to press charges and released him.

Comment: Cops all over the country are quitting. BLM and Antifa are achieving by attrition their goal of defunding policing. Do they even consider the consequences?

Woke capitalism wants to dictate how we think and is one of the biggest threats to democracy

There once was a time when capitalists were only interested in making money. Now major corporations have no qualms in moralising to the public. Curbing their power should be a priority for anyone who values freedom of thought.

When a commentator writing for the American business magazine Forbes informs readers that woke capitalism is good for the profit margins, it becomes evident that capitalism has undergone a massive rebranding exercise.

In his article 'A Free-Market Defense of Coca-Cola, Delta, And 'Woke' Capitalism', columnist John Tamny counsels conservatives who are fed-up with being dumped on by Big Business to relax, since there's a "good, capitalistic reason for corporations to play the political game."

Advocacy of woke capitalism is the new normal in the world of finance and business. It is claimed that "wokeness is useful in motivating change."

Hold the 'Cuomo chips': NY set to lift gov's no-booze-without-food rule

Cheers to this!

New York legislators are moving to repeal Gov. Andrew Cuomo's pandemic-era edict that forced bars and restaurants to make their patrons buy something to eat with booze purchases.

Both the state Senate and Assembly will be voting Wednesday, and are expected to lift the strict food-with-drinks rule that critics say has been stifling the economic recovery, especially in the bar-rich Big Apple.

"It is time to begin removing certain restrictions and regulations that are no longer necessary, so we can safely reopen and rebuild our state's economy," Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Yonkers-Scarsdale) said in a statement.

The governor's emergency executive order, imposed over the summer's COVID-19 outbreak, forced pubs to get creative with their food offerings.
