So, here's what you might have learned over the weekend if you ventured into the thickets of alt news: in April and May of 2021, the president ("Joe Biden"), the whole White House Covid Response Team (Andy Slavitt & Co), and everyone in the WH communications office, the US Surgeon General (Vivek Murthy), senior officials of the CDC including director Rochelle Walensky, Francis Collins, head of NIH, and Dr. Anthony Fauci of NIAID were all freaking out, holding crisis meetings, and sending blizzards of emails among each other after being informed by a Pfizer safety report that the miraculous new mRNA Covid vaccines produced significant cases of myocarditis and blood-clotting abnormalities.

All these officials proceeded to craft a campaign to tell the public that this myocarditis was mild, extremely rare, and self-resolving (it wasn't), and urged all Americans over twelve to keep taking the vaxx shots. Later, they expanded the vaccine program to include children down to six months old. By 2022, all of US public health officialdom had to know that the vaxxes were also ineffective at preventing infection and transmission of Covid. Rochelle Walensky kept pushing the vaccines as "safe and effective" until she resigned in June, 2023. Her replacement, Mandy K. Cohen, is still pushing the latest mRNA booster shots in the face of reports (mainly from the UK and other foreign countries) of a shocking rise in all-causes deaths and disabilities from heart and blood disease, neurological injury, and cancers. The CDC refused this month to release updated information on case numbers of myocarditis and pericarditis in the USA.

West has been 'blinded' by desire to 'defeat' Russia - Lavrov

Western politicians are so obsessed with the idea of delivering a "strategic defeat" to Russia that they put themselves and their own nations in danger, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the UN General Assembly on Saturday. The prolonged feeling of impunity has made the West blind to the risks to its own survival, he added.

Lavrov, commenting on the current policies of the US and its allies, said:

"A goal of inflicting a 'strategic defeat' upon Russia has been declared. This obsession has ultimately blurred the vision of the reckless politicians, who feel a sense of impunity. All the while, [they] lose the sense of self-preservation."

The minister pointed to a recent series of NATO exercises that, he said, involved simulating scenarios of nuclear strikes against Russia. According to Lavrov, these drills, which included the troops of the US and its European allies, were "unprecedented since the end of the Cold War."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says he believes that if Democrats want to replace President Joe Biden as their nominee for the 2024 presidential election, they may parachute in a former resident of the White House.

Cruz, speaking on his podcast Verdict with Ted Cruz, shared his theory that the Democratic Party may replace Biden with former first lady Michelle Obama around the time of the Democratic National Convention in 11 months.

"Here's the scenario that I think is perhaps most likely, and most dangerous: In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama," Cruz said.

He listed the former first lady as the person the Democratic Party would pick because she checks all the boxes in terms of likability and diversity.

Comment: Such a hideous scenario has the potential to give Barry his fourth "term". It does not bear thinking about.

The European Elites have a stunning new plan to defeat the fearsome Russian hoards marching toward Central Europe again. EU grand strategists will reinvent Adolph Hitler's idea of Lebensraum. French Europe Minister Laurence Boone told POLITICO recently that the only way to combat Putin's yearning for conquest is for the EU bloc to expand. No, I am not joking.

According to the news, the EU is preparing for a potential wave of expansion that could expand the bloc by as many as eight new members, including Ukraine and six Balkan countries. Boone spoke with me by phone, and said:

"Vladimir Putin, in addition to his territorial ambitions, also aims to weaken the European Union. That's a factor we need to take into account and fight against."

As for Hitler's grand plan of 'Lebensraum,' which he laid out in his book Mein Kampf (is banned in Russia), the German Reich would gain power and control of nations to the east to colonize them with German settlers. The Slavs who lived in these territories were to be wiped away by expulsion, enslavement, and slaughter. And Westerners still wonder at Vladimir Putin's warnings about Nazis in Ukraine and having a neutral zone between the EU and Russia. Russians and Ukrainians are brothers and Slavs, genetically.

The Serbs, Bosnians, Belarussians, and Ukrainians are in the crosshairs of EU President Ursula von der Leyen (who I lovingly refer to as von der Clucky) and her handlers, the Western oligarchs and the Royal houses of central and Western Europe.

Bulgarians, Croats, Macedonians, Montenegrins, and even the Slovenes have already been assimilated into what looks more and more like a Fouth Nazi Reich. The breakup of Yugoslavia was with the intent of creating these smaller, dependent nations with little or no power to resist. I don't want to get into ancient history and the story of the Vistula Veneti. Still, it's fair to say Roman Catholicism and Orthodox Christianity play a central role in the Ukraine affair.

Moscow's bombing and invasion of Ukraine must be condemned by all those who believe in a rules-based international order and peaceful solutions to world problems. Hopefully Russian internationalists can come together to create a peace movement powerful enough to pressure their government.

While criticizing Russian imperialism, however, we shouldn't lose sight of Canada's significant role in stoking the divisions within Ukraine that have contributed to today's crisis. Non-interference in other countries' affairs is also an important principle of international law.

Yet Ottawa has long sought to destabilize the relationship between Russia and Ukraine. In 2014 Ottawa actively assisted the ouster of President Viktor Yanukovych who was oscillating between the European Union and Russia.

The US mainstream media chose to ignore a meeting that took place at the recent United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) gathering of world leaders between Iran's President, Ebrahim Raisi and an Ultra-Orthodox organization of anti-Zionist Jews called Neturei Karta.

The meeting was obviously not in any way newsworthy for any of the mainstream media networks based in the United States, but several Israeli media networks covered the story including

The Jerusalem Post who published what Raisi had said in the meeting and that was that Iran has no issues with the Jewish people or its faith "I have heard that there are anti-Zionist Jews here and this is a great thing," said Raisi.

"We always reiterate the fact that we have no issue whatsoever with the Jewish faith, with the Torah, and in Iran, the Jews have freedom of religion. Our only issue is with the Zionists."

Raisi applies the same standards to Zionists and as he did with the US-backed terrorists known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) throughout the Middle East as he "stressed that he is against "oppression," regardless of whether it comes from Jews, Christians, or Muslims.

The trouble with writing about Genocide before it actually happens, is that you sound tin foil hat crazy, so I went looking for other people who understand and can see patterns. I found English writer Karen Harradine, and US writer Naomi Wolf, and no doubt there are others, not yet found. I am reminded of the US press agents in Berlin, warning their Jewish friends to get out because of the Nazis in the 1920s, a warning few of them acted on. I came to know about this, because my childhood next door neighbours were German Jews, their father had listened to the warning and got his family out to Australia early enough. In talking to Karen Harradine, I know it is a great frustration that so many people are so clueless, zombie like they live their lives.

Back in 2021, the Canadian academic Eric Kaufmann wrote that his native country was swiftly becoming "the world's first woke nation". And over the last two years, it seems the trend has only accelerated.

In a recent article, Jordan Peterson identified Canada as being at "the forefront of the wave of woke lunacy threatening to swamp the entire Western world". And in a speech earlier this month, retired General Michel Maisonneuve lamented that the "woke movement" is "destroying Canadian values".

As we all know, the woke are notorious for branding those who disagree with them as 'bigots' or even 'Nazis'. (This cartoon offers an amusing illustration.) So you'd assume the last thing they'd want is to be associated in any way with the actual Nazis from World War II.

Comment: The apology:

The speaker of Canada's House of Commons has apologised to Jewish communities after honouring a veteran who fought for a military unit under Nazi command during World War Two.

Anthony Rota had invited his fellow MPs to give a standing ovation to Yaroslav Hunka, 98, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to Parliament on Friday.

Mr Rota introduced Mr Hunka as a war hero who fought for "Ukrainian independence against the Russians".

"He's a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero, and we thank him for all his service," Mr Rota said as the Commons stood to applaud him.

However, Jewish groups have condemned the move, identifying Mr Hunka as a member of the First Ukrainian Division - previously known as the Galicia or 14th Division of the Waffen-SS.

The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies said the division "was responsible for the mass murder of innocent civilians with a level of brutality and malice that is unimaginable."

"An apology is owed to every Holocaust survivor and veteran of the Second World War who fought the Nazis," the organisation said as it demanded an explanation.

The Commons Speaker said he had since been made aware of information "which causes me to regret my decision".

In a statement to The Telegraph, he said: "I particularly want to extend my deepest apologies to Jewish communities in Canada and around the world."

Mr Rota added that the decision to recognise Mr Hunka was "entirely" his own. He noted the 98-year-old veteran is one of his constituents

He added: "I accept full responsibility for my actions."

Dear Readers:

After his less-than-glorious visit to the USA, Ukrainian President Zelensky covered himself in somewhat more glory in the Canadian round of his tour. News reports show that Canadian Parliamentarians dressed up in their very finest and clapped like seals while a slovenly Zelensky stood among them, soaking up the adoration.

In this story by reporter Anton Nikitin, we also see that Zelensky did not let slip by an opportunity to greet a veteran of World War II. One of the photos that was released to the press showed Zelensky standing in the Canadian Parliament on Friday, alongside Justin Trudeau, as the two men throw kisses and fist-bumps to a 98-year-old veteran named Yaroslav Hunka. The caption notes that Hunka served in the First Ukrainian Division of Waffen SS Division "Galicia" (also known sometimes as "Galichina") before later ~~fleeing~~ emigrating to Canada.

This particular Division was organized by the German Nazis in 1943, recruiting residents of Western Ukraine. In July of 1944 the Division mostly went out of business, having lost so many of its soldiers in the battles near Brody. But then was reconstituted and used in battles in Slovakia, Yugoslavia, and Austria. In April of 1945, this Division was removed from the composition of the SS, renamed the First Ukrainian Division, and was incorporated into the Ukrainian National Army. In May of 1945, these Ukrainian Nationalists were fortunate to be able to surrender to forces from Great Britain and the U.S. Who whisked them out of danger and cared for them like newborn kittens.

Writing in Newsweek magazine, Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, Senior Fellow at Defense Priorities think tank, acknowledged what Gateway Pundit has been reporting for months:

"Ukraine's 'summer offensive' is producing little to no meaningful progress toward the objective of evicting Russia from Ukraine's territory, even as American politicians, generals, and pundits continue advocating for open-ended support to Kyiv in their war against Russia."

Davis' sobering assessment carries the headline "We Can No Longer Hide the Truth About the Russia-Ukraine War".

It was not clear why anyone would want to 'Hide the Truth' about the US taxpayer-funded border dispute in distant Eastern Europe. Davis writes:

"Despite great hopes for a rapid success, Ukraine's months-in-the-making offensive has sputtered from the outset. That shouldn't have surprised anyone in the White House."

Comment: Davis provides a comprehensive reality check for Ukraine and its cadre of 'armchair generals'.
