dracula The ISS is allegedly in LEO at about 350km altitude, "space" begins at 100km@HashAttack2, even that "100km" limit is arbitrary and not where real space begins but rather a political consensus, see my reply here for a documented explanation:
The Kármán line (or von Kármán line) is an attempt to define a boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space, and offers a specific definition set by the Fédération aéronautique internationale (FAI), an international record-keeping body for aeronautics. Defining the edge of space is important for legal and regulatory purposes since aircraft and spacecraft fall under different jurisdictions and are subject to different treaties
The FAI defines the Kármán line as space beginning 100 kilometres (54 nautical miles; 62 miles; 330,000 feet) above Earth's mean sea level. This number is well above the altitude reachable by a conventional airplane, and is roughly where satellites even on very eccentric trajectories will decay before completing a single orbit
Don't know what to believe any moreSo true. But I don't think what you were seeing was water. It was probably distortion caused by the atmosphere, like the shimmering off the road on a hot day. Especially looking at Venus, which is always seen at a low angle, i.e. through a lot of atmosphere. And yes, they keep changing their story about space, as well as many other things like history of our species. Just keep an open mind. New concepts and new understandings will come along all the time, usually when the academics who control the "truth" die off and a new generation takes over.
CHAPTER 3 - RADIATION PROTECTION AND INSTRUMENTATION
No major solar-particle events occurred during an Apollo mission. Although much effort has been expended in the field of solar event forecasting, individual eruptions from the solar surface have proved impossible to forecast. The best that can be provided is an estimate of particle dose, given visual or radio-frequency (RF) confirmation that an eruption has occurred.
...
In terms of hazard to crewmen in the heavy, well shielded Command Module , even one of the largest solar-particle event series on record (August 4-9, 1972) would not have caused any impairment of crewmember functions or ability of the crewmen to complete their mission safely.
If this issue is a measure of NASA'S effectiveness, then their toast BOLLOCKED and maybe its a get NASA out off the space race card?
