In a report published on Monday, the newspaper claimed that 18 people, primarily children and wives of Russian diplomats, left Ukraine on January 5. A further 30 people allegedly left in the two weeks following that, and diplomats from two other Russian consulates (Kharkov and Odessa) had reportedly been told to prepare to leave the country.
In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that "The Russian embassy in Kiev is working normally," but did not deny any downsizing.
According to the New York Times, officials from both the US and Ukraine confirmed that Russian diplomats had left.
Reports of evacuations come as Moscow is accused by Western nations of a troop build-up on the frontier with Ukraine, allegedly with the intent of invading the country in the coming weeks and months. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied any plan to attack and has suggested that NATO is invoking the specter of "Russian aggression" as a pretext to deploy more military equipment in the region.
Last week, America's CNN claimed that a "group of operatives" trained in urban warfare and the use of explosives had been sent to "carry out acts of sabotage against Russia's own proxy forces" to create a pretext for military intervention in Ukraine.
This story, citing anonymous sources, echoed a previous statement by United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who claimed that American intelligence had reason to believe Moscow is planning a scenario where it can justify a military incursion into Ukraine.
"Russia is laying the groundwork to have the option of fabricating a pretext for an invasion, including through sabotage activities and information operations, by accusing Ukraine of preparing an imminent attack against Russian forces in Eastern Ukraine," Sullivan said.

Basically the degradation of leadership, we start with fast talking good looking leaders that can speak and represent their views. Then follow closely with a downward spiral of human capability, until the bottom is found. In some cases, we can see some changes attempted and various recycling but the general idea is the same, reduce and simplify.
The goal is clear, because these so called leaders are really in the way of something and that something is bigger and has more. So the goal is to continue to operate within the guidelines until the final outcome is achieved.
I do look forwad to our more informed SOTTites' comments.

BB, supra: As I once replied to a professor at LS where no one would raise their hand to answer the pertinent question as it was a bitch, and I was looking to my buddy one row behind me trying to spell 'BAGEL?' in the air, when the professor said (my hand awkwardly hung in the air)
LS Prof: "Yes, Mister RC?"(I literally am blushing now from just that. )
RC: Um - I don't know???
RC
I see.
Nice knowing you fine folks. Wasn't expecting WWIII in 2022, but apparently the US is hellbent on finding out if our missile shield can stop mach 10 nuclear missiles. Even if we win, we lose, if the legends of Russia's dead-hand system is to be believed.
It could also be with a wish to make a controlled demolition of the economy while blaming Russia as usual.
In the meantime as the Kremlin mentions above, it is used as a pretext to send weapons to Ukraine. Even the Baltic states are itching to send weapons to Ukraine. [Link]
A new round of russophobic lies was expected. The US and EU countries have negatively assessed the participation of the Russian military in stabilizing the situation in Kazakhstan.
There was no mention of militants and the killing of policemen by the radicals during the riots. Foreign publications have called the coup attempt in this country a "popular uprising", comparing it to the Czechoslovakian events of 1956.
In addition, the Washington Post recalled the performance of the Russian national hockey team, dressed in sweaters with the words " USSR ". Ah, Russia is definitely planning to recreate the Union
As with the Ukrainian events, the coup is also presented as the overthrow of the pro-Russian president by the Ukrainians. By the way, the latter is very questionable ... there is no pro-Russian, but rather a lover of personal gain.
Regarding NATO's expansion to the east, the American newspaper writes that there is no mortal threat to Russia. Moscow invented everything so that Ukraine was not accepted into the alliance.
The publication states that the Kremlin intends to restore Russian rule in Eastern Europe and this cannot be avoided.
Let me remind you that we are talking about the sphere of influence of Russia, and it has been customary for a long time. And don't tell the states where and what to influence Russia. However, the time has come for the Kremlin to become more active in Cuba and, perhaps, Mexico.
But most disgusting is the WP reporter's claim that the United States helped Boris Yeltsin transform the country into a prosperous and democratic state that could become a partner of the West. The people who survived the "fiery 90s", when children dreamed of becoming a bandit or a prostitute to survive and live at least a little bit can say it best.
The time of the collapse of the economy, the collapse of the army and science, the destruction of education and health, the degradation of the population and the contempt of the "civilized" West - this is the real "help and support" of the United States. And don't forget it!
The Russians are already tired of hearing that the alliance is nothing more than a defensive alliance that is supposed to protect Europe from the terrible and aggressive Russian bear.
We are tired of russophobia, the informational lies designed to brainwash our children. And we don't need a war. And you don't even need to take over other people's territories - there is an abundance of your own land.
All we need is freedom, sovereignty, independent determination of domestic and foreign policy without the dictates of the US and the EU.
This is exactly what the representatives of the collective West cannot and do not want to forgive us, fearing the resurgence of Russian power.
Whatever you call it: "the Soviet empire" or the Russian one, but we are always more than just a state. The Russian code of civilization forms a new geopolitical reality, leaving behind the dictates of the West, which destroys the weakest countries militarily or economically.
Peace for the sake of peace and common welfare is our goal. And we will certainly achieve it.
The "yellow" American rags cannot change that.
Odessa journalist Yuri Tkachev discusses how arousing hysteria over a hypothetical Russian invasion of Ukraine could be a self-fulfilling prophecy. It is something that is said about the future that indirectly affects reality in a way that ends up being true. Such prophecies can be found in ancient Greek myths, but the term itself was popularized in the 20th century by the American sociologist Robert Merton (English self-Fulfilling Prophecy).
“Let's imagine for a moment that American or British intelligence really, for one reason or another, has come to the conclusion that Russia is preparing to attack Ukraine. After all, even Scouts can make mistakes, right?
Now imagine how Russia itself should react to news of an impending Russian attack in a situation where they themselves know they will not attack? And in one and only way: as a provocation of foreign policy. For what?
Well then, to justify, for example, the Ukrainian offensive in the Donbass, or rather, to discredit in advance a possible Russian response to it. It's fucking logical, but you and I thought so too, right?
What is Russia starting to do in a situation where it is sure that Ukraine is preparing for war? That's right, start preparing for the answer.
And now the Americans themselves, seeing this preparation, receive "brilliant" confirmation of their intelligence reports:
"Yes, Putin will attack again." And they begin to take their own countermeasures: they quickly begin to transfer equipment to Ukraine, "hang" their military planes.
How is this NATO activation perceived in Russia, where they know for sure that they do not intend to attack? Yes, it is clear how: confirming the fact of preparation for an operation in the Donbass. Well, we can expect more active countermeasures: putting the troops on maximum alert and so on.
What will not go unnoticed by Americans who ...
Well, that is, the situation begins to end, to end and, in fact, in an uncontrollable way by both participants.
And now the situation turns out to be so electrifying that it is enough for someone on the front line to spoil the air particularly loudly for it to be taken as a predisposed signal for the start of a great war, for which, under the hypothesis of which we are arguing, the parties weren't preparing and it seems to be "shit itself".
The saddest thing here is that the victims of this situation, in one way or another, will be the inhabitants of Ukraine and the Donbass.
It is very bad to be a foreign colony, if possible avoid it.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine sends instructions to enterprises in Kiev on how to act in the event of an emergency and war.
Screenshots of the brochure are actively distributed on the Web, attracted the attention of the Ukrainian edition of " Vesti ".
In 14 pages, Ukrainians are explained in detail how to act in a given situation associated with a threat to life.
On the first page, the authors of the pamphlet assure that the Ukrainian army is completely ready to "repel the aggressor".
“The current state of the Ukrainian armed forces makes it possible to effectively deter an aggressor, help ensure the global defense of the state, prevent crises and actively participate in international peacekeeping operations.
At the same time, the structure of the Ukrainian armed forces, the command system, recruitment, mobilization and territorial defense are able to quickly bring the army to full combat readiness for a worthy rejection of the aggressor, "the text states.
The Ministry of Culture recommends that you think over some issues in advance to equip your home in an emergency and protect yourself and your loved ones:
► if possible, find out where the nearest shelters are and check the state of the basement;► check for the presence of an emergency exit;► to stock up on drinking and industrial water, products for long-term storage;► check your first aid kit and consider at length what medicines you may need;► arrange extinguishing means; to deal with alternative means of lighting the room in the event of a power failure (flashlights, candles);► arrange means for cooking in the absence of gas and electricity supply;► collect the most necessary things and documents in case of urgent evacuation or transfer to storage facilities;► take care of the good state of private transport and the supply of fuel for a timely evacuation from a dangerous area;► When it's cold, consider alternative heating for your home in case the central heating is turned off.
The authors of the brochure also offer advice on what to do if you are in a war zone or an emergency involving armed people:
► do not inform unknown people, as well as acquaintances with an unreliable reputation, about their future actions and plans;► always carry an identity document with you. Store money and documents in different places, so you will have more chances to save them;► Keep a record of your blood type (you and close relatives) and information on possible health problems (eg drug allergies, chronic diseases);► Find out where storage and hiding places are located near your home, work and places you frequent;► try to stay away from home and work as little as possible, reduce the number of trips without an important reason, avoid crowded places;► when leaving the premises, follow the rules of the right hand and let those who need it go ahead - this will help to avoid crowds;► do not interfere in disputes with strangers - this will help to avoid possible provocations;► in case of receiving information through the official channels of the state authorities about the possible danger of transmitting it to other people: relatives, neighbors, colleagues;► in the event of the appearance of armed persons, military equipment, riots, if possible, immediately leave the dangerous area;► avoid convoys of equipment and do not stop near military vehicles;► inform the police, local authorities, the military about people who commit illegal and provocative actions;► when entering the bombardment area, hide in the nearest depot or shelter and do not go out for some time after the bombardment has ended; if there are no such deposits nearby, use uneven terrain (for example, ditches, trenches, blast funnels);► in case of sudden bombing and no storage facilities nearby, lie down on the ground with your head in the opposite direction to the explosion and cover your head with your hands or things;► if a person is injured nearby, provide first aid and call an ambulance, representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, law enforcement and, if necessary, the military;► if you have witnessed the injury or death of people, as well as illegal actions (e.g. arrest, kidnapping, beating) - save as much information as possible about the circumstances of the accident.
The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine does not recommend in any case:
► approach the windows if you hear gunshots;► observe the course of hostilities, stop or run under fire;► discuss with armed people, take pictures and take notes in their presence;► display weapons or similar objects;► collect abandoned weapons and ammunition;► touching explosive and suspicious objects, attempting to dismantle them or move them to another place, immediately reporting their location to the territorial bodies of the State Emergency Service and the National Police;► Wear army uniforms or camouflage clothing - it is best to wear dark colored clothing that does not attract attention and avoid any symbols, as they can cause an "inadequate reaction".
The booklet also details what needs to be packed in a "creepy suitcase":
► passport and copy of all necessary documents (birth certificate, military identity card, education document, work book or pension certificate, patrimonial documents);► money (cash and bank cards);► mobile phone chargers;► radio, flashlight, signaling devices, compass, watch, compact toolbox (multitool), knife, garbage bags, notebook, pencil, thread, needles, matches, lighters;► warm clothes (if possible, also prepare a thermal blanket), underwear, comfortable and reliable shoes; hygiene products;► a first aid kit, including daily medications, as well as medication prescriptions;► dishes in which to cook, heat and store food;► water and food for 3 days, stored for a long time and do not require further preparation.
We recall that yesterday the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky recorded another video message to the Ukrainians, in which he spoke of rumors concerning a possible "military invasion".
The head of state said the situation was deliberately publicized and caused panic in society.
Zelensky recalled that the threat of war did not arise now and the risks of invasion have existed for more than a day.
“They haven't gotten any bigger. There's more excitement around them, ”Zelensky said.

I would expect the EU/Ukraine to ramp up the saber rattling proportionally to the decay of the plandemic narrative.
What I am grappling with currently after watching Resident Brandons predictably dismal performance today? Is why the supposed "greatest country" on the planet has a doddering dementia patient for a leader? Anyone? Bueller???
