Tens of thousands of protesters from the far right and far left joined forces to rally against the country's pro-Western Czech government in the capital on Saturday.

Police estimated that the crowd at Prague's central Wenceslas Square numbered around 70,000.

Some of the groups represented at the demonstration included the major anti-migrant populist Freedom and Direct Democracy party and the Communist Party.

The protesters demanded the resignation of the current coalition government led by conservative Prime Minister Petr Fiala, criticizing it for a number of issues, including its Western-oriented policies.

Comment: Perhaps the Czech government is trying to buy time, because the EU has already made their 'solution' for the energy crisis known, and that's for coordinated energy rationing (whereby some countries will be made to give up their stocks) and rolling blackouts: Leaked doc reveals EU plan for gas rationing and blackouts as their proxy war worsens energy crisis

Sex with hookers, questionable deals with foreign businessmen, drugs, father-son chats and corruption.

These are all focal plot lines in My Son Hunter, the conservative and very raunchy film based on Hunter Biden's debauched and lurid antics.

DailyMail.com got a sneak peak at the fictional movie on President Joe Biden's son - with scenes including conversations with Ukrainian firm Burisma, sexual activity with prostitutes, conversations with strippers and use of illicit substances.

Hunter, played by British actor Laurence Fox, is portrayed having sex with prostitutes as he closes a deal with Ukrainian firm Burisma in a scene from the upcoming film. And in another scene breaks the fourth wall to tell the audience he was paid millions of dollars for 'consulting', while in partial view he can be seen engaging in sexual activity with another prostitute.

Environment Minister Eamon Ryan wants district heating systems to be deployed swiftly as an alternative

A ban on installing gas and oil boilers to heat new and existing homes is among the measures the Government is finalising as part of a package of energy-crisis responses to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The ban would apply to newly built homes from next year and to replacement installations in existing homes possibly as soon as 2025.

It comes as it emerged one in five new homes built last year and one in 12 this year to date have fossil-fuel heating systems despite the introduction of regulations meant to encourage the use of clean energy.

  • The world is bound for more disruption and unrest in the next six months, an intelligence firm said.
  • Its analysis said the risk of civil unrest has increased in 101 of the 198 countries it tracked.
  • It cited inflation and the energy and food crises linked to the war in Ukraine as key factors.
The risk of civil unrest has surged this year in more than half of the world's countries, signaling a coming period of heightened global instability fueled by inflation, war, and shortages of essentials, a new analysis says.

According to Verisk Maplecroft, a UK-based risk consulting and intelligence firm, 101 of the 198 countries tracked on its Civil Unrest Index saw an increase in their risk of civil unrest between the second and third quarters of this year.

The firm wrote in its Thursday report that only 42 countries saw a decrease in such risk.

"Although there have been several high-profile and large-scale protests during the first half of 2022, the worst is undoubtedly yet to come," it added.

UK aid spending is encouraging hunger-stricken Africans to eat insects, with projects aiming to develop the practice in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zimbabwe.

Edible insects have long been touted as a resource-efficient source of protein, requiring less land and water than conventional livestock. However, taste and cultural resistance have proved to be stumbling blocks in extending the practice in many parts of the world.

In a move to realise the substantial on-paper benefits of insect-eating, a ยฃ50,000 UK aid project in the DRC is putting African caterpillars, migratory locusts and black soldier flies on the menu.

Shamima Begum 'smuggled into Syria for Islamic State by Canadian spy'

Begum

Shamima Begum was smuggled into Syria for Islamic State at the age of 15 by a Canadian spy whose role was covered up by the police and Britain's security services, it has been claimed in a book out this week.

Begum, along with her schoolfriends Kadiza Sultana, then 16, and Amira Abase, then 15, were met at Istanbul bus station for their onward journey to Syria by a man called Mohammed al-Rashed.

Rashed was also an informant for Canadian intelligence, who told the Met police of their connection with him in March 2015, a few days after she had crossed the border to join the terrorism group. But neither the British nor Canadian authorities have previously acknowledged the link.

The claim is made in The Secret History of the Five Eyes by Richard Kerbaj, which is published on Thursday. Five Eyes is the network of intelligence-sharing between Britain, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Air Force leaders set new goals to diversify officer corps

© UnknownWomen's Corp Salute
Air Force and Space Force leaders this month laid out a new vision for more diversity in the officer corps, aiming to boost the proportion of minority airmen and guardians in fields traditionally staffed by white men.

It's the first time in nearly 10 years that the Air Force has updated demographic targets for those recruited into its main sources of commissioned officers, like the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado.

"Diversity and inclusion are an essential part of our society and key to the success of any organization," the department said in an Aug. 9 memo cosigned by Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall, Undersecretary Gina Ortiz Jones, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles "CQ" Brown Jr. and Space Force Chief of Space Operations Gen. Jay Raymond.

The directive aims to create a "force more representative of our nation," the memo said. Ultimately, bringing in a broader range of perspectives can foster the new ideas and skills needed to accomplish military missions, they said.

Portland preschool teacher with history of monkeypox barred from job after sexually explicit posts on social media

Marco Reyes
A preschool teacher in Portland, Oregon, who is the recipient of thousands of dollars in donations after coming forward about contracting monkeypox, has been deemed a "serious danger to the health and safety of children" following the revelation of a disturbing social media history first investigated by Newsweek.

Marco Antonio Reyes Rojas was first featured on local television earlier this summer where he talked about the challenges of contracting monkeypox and needing to isolate. The 30-year-old Mexican-American, who is openly gay, shared photos of the pustules and rash he developed. He had previously been featured in the local press for his political advocacy on behalf of illegal foreign nationals living in the U.S. On social media, he blamed the United States for his suffering with monkeypox.

Comment: It would be good if schools thoroughly screened prospective teachers beforehand, to prevent degenerates like this from taking positions in the first place.

However, a disturbing trend suggests some administrators are more concerned with teachers' political views, rather than hiring based on the merits of someone's character and their qualification.
