Flames were seen shooting out from the roof of the 233 year-old Bank Buildings, which has recently undergone a ยฃ30million refurbishment
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue service has arrived at the busiest shopping street in Belfast to eliminate the threatening blaze that engulfed the roof of the Bank Buildings, the Daily Mail reported.

A Belfast-based Primark department store was engulfed in flames which resulted in the evacuation of the visitors shopping inside, the media stated.

The fire crew that arrived at the site made an effort to get access to the source of the fire with a fire engine's ladder.

How to get your dissident voice heard in the new media environment

laptop
I often say that my long-term goal here is to become obsolete so that I can focus on making art and poetry. Ideally this will look like our society shifting to a mode of operation that is so healthy that there is no longer any demand for an Australian political blogger who points out the fact that it's wrong to manipulate public thought with mass media and drop explosives on children, but I'll also settle for a world in which there are enough people doing this sort of thing that I'm no longer wanted or needed in this role.

Toward that end, and because I've been getting some requests for advice on how people who want to do what I do can get started, I'm going to try to tap out a few tips. I've caught some lucky breaks and been really blessed and supported in a bunch of frankly miraculous ways on this weird and wonderful journey, but there are also some concrete pointers I've picked up along the way which I employ constantly. Here they are for anyone who's interested in getting their ideas heard in the people's information rebellion against the establishment propaganda machine:

1. Create daily content.

This is honestly the most important one. Whether you make blogs, podcasts or videos, the best way to build an audience is to become a part of people's everyday routine; something they can enjoy over coffee in the morning or on the train on their way to work. If you're making high-quality content on a daily basis, this will necessarily happen, and the more shareable your content (more on that in a minute), the quicker it will occur.

Comment: One could say the oligarchy has already exposed themselves as totalitarian fascists, however, they still need to manufacture consent and we can see it in their increasing desperation to censor and shut down dissenting views. This is a good way to counteract that.

Liars! Baltimore police dept now claims cop killed himself - only days before he was set to testify against notoriously corrupt cops

Baltimore cop corruption
Baltimore police now want us to believe that a cop, set to testify against bad cops the day before, was chasing a suspect when all of the sudden he randomly shot himself.

Last November, Baltimore City Police Detective Sean Suiter was shot and killed while on duty the day before he was set to testify against dirty cops in the department. Now, nearly a year later, the panel responsible for investigating the case have ruled his death a suicide, because they claimed they could not find any evidence of a second person in the area.

Not only was Suiter set to testify in a massive corruptions case the day after his shooting but his partner was off work that day and the commissioner lied about this important detail in a press conference where he revealed the details of the case to the media. The man who filled in as Suiter's partner on the day of his death is friends with one of the officers who Suiter was set to testify against.

The federal student loan ombudsman for the US government has resigned, blaming the Trump administration for turning its back on "young people and their financial futures."

Seth Frotman, who became the student loan ombudsman for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in 2016, has announced his resignation, in a letter written to the bureau's Trump-appointed acting director, Mick Mulvaney, and obtained by NPR.

"Unfortunately, under your leadership, the Bureau has abandoned the very consumers it is tasked by Congress with protecting," reads the letter, copies of which were sent to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, along with a number of senators and representatives. "Instead, you have used the Bureau to serve the wishes of the most powerful financial companies in America."

Prisoners across the US are on a nationwide strike over inhumane living conditions. There have been violent prison riots resulting in seven deaths and dozens of injuries.

Inmates are protesting against prison labor, which is mandatory in state prisons. Most are paid as little as $1 per day, sometimes less, describing their working conditions as "modern-day slavery."

RT's Boom Bust has looked into the reports and found out that prison labor is a multibillion-dollar business for big US companies trying to cut down on labor costs.

They include McDonald's, Microsoft, Walmart, American Airlines, and many others.

Toronto will soon be welcoming a brothel to the city, but the prostitutes won't have a woman's or even a human touch; instead, they'll be hi-tech sex dolls made of silicone. It's said to be the first of its kind in North America.

Aura Dolls will be opening in a strip mall in Toronto in September, with the website teasing the "world's most beautiful silicone ladies."

There are six "prostitutes" on offer, with ethnicities to fit just about anyone's taste. Among the offerings are a Korean named Yuki, an American named Scarlett, and a Colombian named Jazmine.

The brothel's marketing director Claire Lee told CityNews that guests looking for a bit of fun will have their own room where a TV will play adult entertainment.
