The Ukrainian leader unofficially asked for permission to attend three times but was refused, the president-elect's son has claimed.

Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky asked incoming US President Donald Trump to invite him to the inauguration several times, but was consistently snubbed, his son Donald Trump Jr. has claimed.

Writing on Instagram, Trump Jr. mocked the Ukrainian leader's interview with American podcaster Lex Fridman earlier this month, during which Zelensky stated that he could not attend the inauguration on January 20.
"I can't come especially during the war, unless President Trump invites me personally. I'm not sure it's proper to come because I know that in general, leaders are for some reason not usually invited to the inauguration of presidents of the United States of America," he told Fridman.

Two Supreme Court justices assassinated in Iran

Two Iranian Supreme Court justices have been killed by an unknown assassin in Tehran, IRNA News reported on Saturday, citing the media center of the judiciary. The perpetrator reportedly committed suicide on the spot after an attempt was made to arrest him.

The two victims were identified as Hojjat al-Islam Razini and Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Moqisseh, who each presided over a different branch of the court. The two judges were heavily involved in combatting crimes against national security, the statement by the judiciary read, describing them as "brave and experienced."

The judiciary's media center said:
"The attack was a 'planned act'. Tthe assassin did not have a case in the Supreme Court nor was he a client of the court's branches. Immediately after the terrorist act, an attempt was made to arrest the gunman, who quickly committed suicide."
Officials noted that an investigation is underway.

Illegal immigrants 'self-deporting' ahead of Trump's return to White House

trump illegal immigrants
Illegal immigrants have been self-deporting ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, according to a new report from NewsNation reporter Jorge Ventura. The decision to voluntarily depart the United States has been attributed to both the Trump administration's projected border policies that call for mass deportations and a change in Mexican legislation that allows the country to accept non-Mexican deportees.

Immigration attorney Rolando Vasquez told the network that while many of his clients are self-deporting to avoid being detained by Trump's federal immigration agents, others are opting to go to Mexico due to new laws that would have the greatest impact on Cuban and Venezuelan migrants, as these countries generally do not accept deportation flights from the United States but may accept them from Mexico.

Pendulum swing: The Left is now more unpopular worldwide than any time since the Cold War

Lefty political parties across the world are now more unpopular than any time since the Cold War, a staggering analysis of recent elections shows.

The Left suffered a record-low average of just 45% of votes in dozens of ballots held globally last year, according to the analysis of 73 democratic elections, conducted by the Telegraph.

In the United States and Western Europe, progressives were even more unpopular — with the left-leaning parties securing only 42% of their respective votes.

The Right, meanwhile, won 57% of the average votes — representing the widest gap since 1990, the analysis found.

The global demise of the political left comes off the back of President-elect Donald Trump's landslide election win.

Comment: The lunatic left has run roughshod over normal people for so long, the backlash is going to be harsh. Get your safe spaces ready, kids. Reality is coming for you.

UK 'grooming gangs' investigators were told not to investigate senior officers: report

UK 'Grooming gangs investigators'
"We were actively told not to pursue senior officers," the whistleblower said.

A whistleblower has alleged that investigators probing the police failures during the Rotherham "grooming gangs" scandal were told not to investigate senior officers.

According to The Times, the inquiry by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) "barely scratched the surface," focusing instead on lower-ranking officers. This revelation comes despite evidence of systemic failings that allowed the sexual exploitation of at least 1,400 young girls between 1997 and 2013 by groups of predominantly Pakistani men.

Gen Z shockingly admits they don't know how to change a lightbulb in startling new poll

© Krakenimages.com – stock.adobe.comA recent report reveals that a majority of Gen Z is incapable of doing simple DIY tasks, such as changing a lightbulb, and would rather pay someone else to do them.
Well, they're not the brightest bulbs in the box — and their cluelessness comes at a high cost.

The adult babies of Gen Z can cry about strict workplace mores and whine over the anxiety-inducing stress of making a phone call.

But they can't even change a lightbulb, per new data on the youngsters' incapacity to tackle everyday, do-it-yourself duties.

"The ability to do basic, practical tasks is being lost amongst younger generations," warned Andy Turbefield of Halfords, a UK-based motoring and cycling retailer.

RIP David Lynch: Filmmaker, meditator, 9/11 truth-seeker

david lynch
Ron Unz recently noted "the sharp decline in quality of the New York Times." He might have added that we can still learn things from the Times by reading between the lines, the way Soviet-era Russians read Tass and Pravda.

That's a good way to read today's David Lynch obituary. The Times, like the rest of the American Establishment, views Lynch as a crazy artistic weirdo with entertainingly offbeat views — perhaps a great filmmaker, but hardly to be taken seriously in terms of getting at the most important truths about our world. The obit writer, a certain J. Hoberman, seems amused by Lynch's "manichean" juxtaposition of extreme Capraesque innocence with equally extreme beyond-Kafkaesque suspicions of depravity. From the Establishment point of view, the fact that Lynch was a 9/11 truth-seeker seems par for the course.

Jury finds that CNN committed defamation against Navy veteran, awards punitive damages

U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young

A jury found that CNN committed defamation against U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young and is responsible for punitive damages on Friday after more than eight hours of deliberation.

Young alleged that CNN smeared him by implying he illegally profited when helping people flee Afghanistan on the "black market" during the Biden administration's military withdrawal from the country in 2021. Young believes CNN "destroyed his reputation and business" by branding him an illegal profiteer" who exploited "desperate Afghans" during a November 11, 2021, segment that first aired on CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."

The decision comes after three-plus years of litigation and a wild, sometimes chaotic, eight-day trial. 14th Judicial Circuit Court Judge William S. Henry, who presided over the trial in Bay County, Florida, previously ruled that Young "did not act illegally or criminally" despite what the network reported on air.

Tapper first teased the 2021 segment at the center of the suit by warning CNN viewers of "desperate Afghans still trying to escape the country being preyed on by folks demanding that they pay up big time to get out."
