Cop robbed innocent man at gunpoint and filed false report claiming he was the victim to cover his tracks

New York police
When a New York Police Department officer reported that he was robbed at gunpoint, his colleagues took his words seriously and arrested the alleged armed robbers. But surveillance footage showed a very different story in which the only one who was at fault was the officer who claimed he was the victim.

Anthony Delacruz, 34, claimed he was the victim of an ambush in which he was held at gunpoint outside of a nightclub while he was off-duty. According to a report from the New York Post, Delacruz said he was robbed by five men who stole his gold chain, Rolex watch, and a gold ring.

However, the claim that Delacruz's Rolex was stolen was later retracted, and when officers found a shell casing at the scene that matched Delacruz's department-issued gun, they realized that his story did not add up.

Comment: Hopefully this officer is held accountable for his egregious abuse of power.

'They were like animals': French go nuts for discounted Nutella (VIDEO)

A discount on Nutella has led to violent scenes in a chain of French supermarkets, as shoppers jostled to grab a bargain on the sweet spread.

Intermarché supermarkets offered a 70% discount on Nutella, bringing the price down from €4.50 (£3.90) to €1.40.

But police were called when people began fighting and pushing one another.

Comment: While Black Friday in Europe was a rather civilised affair when compared to America, they were not so cordial when it came to discounted Nutella, which just goes to show that every country has their thing that can turn them.

Here's what Nutella is actually made of:

Cops whisper to each other to turn off body cams as they beat and rob man

cop beat man camera off
Two Richmond County Sheriff's deputies recorded themselves beating a man and breaking department policy to cover it up-yet neither of them were fired. Their disturbing actions were captured on both of their body cams, that is, until they turned them off to hide their crimes.

Deputy Charlie Walker and Deputy Christopher Moores were shaking down a man on his bicycle last October when the brutality and subsequent cover-up was captured on film.

"I'm not going to tell you again, get on the fucking ground!" one deputy yells at the non-violent man who can't seem to comply fast enough with the officers who then began beating him.

"Get on the fucking ground," the cop yells at the man who is apparently confused as to why he is being stopped. As the officers beat the man with their batons and put him in handcuffs, that's when they made sure not to catch any more of their misconduct on film.

"Turn it off," the deputy whispers, letting each other know that they did not want to record what was going to happen next.

Comment: If you're a cop, you can also get a vacation - sometimes even paid by the taxpayer - for many other things.

If you homeschool your children you'll be treated like a criminal

david turpin court
It's elementary. Education control freaks will use any excuse to crack down on competition. With two million K-12 students now educated at home (including our 9th grade son), the temptation to exploit the most marginal cases of alleged child abuse by home-schoolers has proven irresistible to statist politicians and government apologists.

Take the case of David and Louise Turpin's 13 starving children, reportedly found tethered to their beds after one of the siblings escaped and contacted police. The Turpins' "house of horrors" in Riverside County, California, grabbed international headlines last week -- and lured a parade of publicity hounds. Former neighbors in Texas claimed they suspected physical abuse by the parents but did nothing at the time. These thirsty fame-seekers will, however, be appearing on "Dr. Phil" later this week to slurp up their 15 minutes of leechdom.

Louise Turpin's half-sister, Teresa Robinette, who also sat on the sidelines for years, miraculously found the energy and motivation to wake up early for an interview on NBC's "Today Show," where she gregariously gossiped about family secrets.

Another of Louise Turpin's sisters, Elizabeth Flores, dry-cried and show-sniffled on ABC's "Good Morning America" about her "love" for the Turpin children whom she claims to have tried to Skype unsuccessfully "for 20 years." How heroic of her. Flores also confessed that David Turpin allegedly spied on her while she showered. For some reason, it was more urgent for Flores to report this information to "GMA" anchor Robin Roberts and millions of strangers tuned into the boob tube than it was to tell her sister. Or her nieces and nephews. Or authorities.

Comment: The government has invested large amounts of money to indoctrinate your children with their propaganda, and want to keep them out of your hands. They want obedient slaves, not free-thinking talented and capable people who dare question the status quo. See also:

'Addictive' social media should be regulated the same as tobacco industry - tech CEO Benioff

Keyboard
Popular social media platforms are deliberately designed to be addictive and should be regulated in the same way as cigarettes, says American entrepreneur and tech CEO Marc Benioff.

The Salesforce chief executive was at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, when he made the suggestion that governments should become more involved in the tech world.

"There is some regulation but there will probably have to be more," Benioff told CNBC.

"I think you'd do it exactly the same way you regulate the cigarette industry. Here's a product, cigarettes, they are addictive, they are not good for you. Maybe there is all kinds of different forces trying to get you to do certain things. There are a lot of parallels," he said.

German judge removes cross from courtroom during trial of Afghan migrant, faces backlash

Judge
A Bavarian judge who ordered the crucifix to be removed from the courtroom during the trial of an Afghan migrant has faced a backlash. The defendant says he does not mind being tried under the cross.

Klaus-Juergen Schmid, a judge in the Bavarian town of Miesbach, has ordered a crucifix to be removed from the courtroom during the trial of a 21-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker accused of making death threats to another Afghan who converted to Christianity.

Initially reported last week, the story received wider coverage later with people on social media weighing in. Shortly after the case was made public, Schmid began receiving "angry emails" accusing him of removing a symbol of Germany's "cultural and religious sovereignty."

"The blood shed by the hands of the defendant will be partly due to you," the judge quoted one of the comments as saying. This is despite the judge's claim that he imposed the maximum penalty on the defendant.

Poll: 80 Percent of Americans want merit-based legal immigration, not chain migration

The overwhelming majority of Americans agree with President Trump's pro-American immigration agenda, saying that legal immigration to the U.S. should be based on skills and merit, rather than the current system based on family ties.

In a new Harvard-Harris poll, nearly 80 percent of Americans said they believe "immigration priority for those coming to the U.S. should be based on a person's ability to contribute to America as measured by their education and skills-and not based on a person having relatives in the U.S."

Currently, the legal immigration system to the U.S. prioritizes foreign nationals who have foreign relatives already living in the country. This process is commonly referred to as "chain migration." As Breitbart News reported, chain migration has imported more than nine million foreign nationals to the U.S. since 2005 and is on-track to bring at least eight million new foreign voters to the U.S. in the next two decades.

Anti-Semitic Tirade on Western Pro-Kremlin Site Betrays Ignorance of Russia

An outrageous anti-Semitic tirade on an American 'pro-Russia' blog-site proves that the inability to properly understand Russia often extends to westerners who think they are 'supporting' the country.

Since its inception, there have been numerous reasons to laugh at 'Russia Insider' (henceforth RI). There's the way it brazenly steals content from professional news outlets and repackages it, with a twist. Not to mention the pseudo-messianic zeal of its founders, displayed in its initial fundraising videos. But it's definitely not funny anymore.

In the beginning, RI seemed semi-promising, and many gave it the benefit of the doubt. Because, given the Putin-derangement virus which has infected western media, there are very few outlets these days for journalists and commentators willing to be balanced in their coverage of Russia. Indeed, those perceived as "Russia versteher" (even if that usually means simply realistic and honest in their coverage) are more-or-less blacklisted in the mainstream press. Something I have first-hand experience of.

James Woods lays into Jeff Sessions and 'missing' FBI text messages on Twitter

James Woods Jeff Sessions
It is obvious to anyone paying attention that Jeff Sessions has no control over the Justice Department.

Jeff Sessions has pretty much surrendered the DOJ to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.

Rosenstein thanked Sessions for the exchange of power by appointing Special Counsel Robert Mueller to carry out a coup d'etat.

AG Sessions has the ability to unrecuse himself and end this Mueller witch hunt once and for all but he continues to sit on the sidelines as Americans watch Mueller take scalps.

Opiate Express: Illegal Chinese-made drugs entering US via regular mail

The highly addictive drug known as opioid fentanyl is arriving in the US via the postal service from China, according to the findings of a congressional report released Wednesday.

Compounding the epidemic of opioid usage in the United States, which President Trump has declared a national public health emergency, a year-long probe by a Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs investigations subcommittee discovered a gap in the mail service that allows Americans to purchase the drug easily over the internet.

Shipments of opioid fentanyl, which caused more than 20,000 deaths in the US in 2016 due to overdoses, are sent from laboratories in China to individuals who "consume them or to middlemen who dilute them for resale," Reuters reports.

The probe did not mention the names of the suspected labs.
