Russian president Vladimir Putin has not been invited to a meeting on reforming the United Nations, reportedly set to be hosted by Donald Trump and due to take place ahead of the General Assembly in New York, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said.

"As far as I know, no [he hasn't]," Ushakov said, responding to a question from a journalist on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok on Thursday.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also told TASS last week that the Russian leader does not plan taking part in the session of the UN General Assembly this year.

Trump, an outspoken critic of the United Nations, is reportedly determined to gain support for reforming the world body when he hosts an event at UN headquarters on September 18.

EU court rejects Hungary and Slovakia's bid to stop refugee flow

The European Court of Justice has ruled that the current system of quotas for resettling refugees is proportionate, amid protests by east European states that cite culture clashes and terrorist attacks.

On Wednesday, the ECJ said that it had "dismissed in its entirety the actions brought by Slovakia and Hungary," which aimed to have the quota system annulled.

The ruling follows an EU decision made in 2015 to rehouse some 160,000 refugees from Greece and Italy over a period of two years, only around 27,700 of whom have been settled so far. Hungary and Poland have refused to take part, while Slovakia has only taken in a small number from Greece. The low level of relocations, the ECJ noted, was partly due to "the lack of cooperation on the part of certain member states."

"It is time to be united and show full solidarity. The door remains, it is still open, and we should convince all member states to fulfill their commitments," EU Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos said.

"But we should be clear that member states have to show solidarity now because it is now that some member states need help.

If the member states do not change their approach in the coming weeks, we should then consider [taking] the last step in the infringement procedure: to refer Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic to the European Court of Justice."

Merkel booed, pelted with tomatoes on re-election campaign trail

Angela Merkel was met with loud boos and calls to "get out" of Germany during her election campaign stops in east German towns of Torgau and Finsterwalde on Wednesday. It comes just a day after she was hit with a tomato at a rally.

Merkel, who is touring Germany as part of her and her center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party reelection bid, is having a rough start in the eastern Germany, where the Chancellor herself grew up.

Her rally in the town of Torgau in Lower Saxony on Wednesday was visited by over a hundred counter-demonstrators from the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) and the far-right National Democratic Party (NPD), who attempted to derail her 30-minute speech focused on tax policy, fight against terrorism and educational. The demonstrators chanted "nation's traitor," "get out," calling to "vote her out."

Despite an angry statement about President Trump's decision to rescind DACA, former President Barack Obama admitted in 2012 that the program was intended to be temporary.

During a speech announcing the new Department of Homeland Security Policy, Obama explained that the protections for dreamers were just "temporary relief."

Putin: Tillerson fell into 'bad company' and will hopefully return to 'right path'

The US secretary of state has "veered off" the track of cooperation after falling into "bad company," despite previously receiving Russia's Order of Friendship, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Putin made the remark during a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum on Thursday. He recalled that he had recently signed a decree to award China's deputy prime minister with the Russian Order of Friendship.

"Keep in mind regarding the decorations, that's not our last order," Putin told the session.

He then addressed one of the session participants who holds US citizenship.

"We awarded the Order of Friendship once to your compatriot, [US Secretary of State] Mr. Tillerson. But, it looks like he's got himself into bad company and is slightly veering off to the other side. But I hope the wind of cooperation, friendship and interaction will ultimately lead him to right path," Putin said.

Rex Tillerson has received the Order of Friendship back in 2012, when he was the CEO of oil giant ExxonMobil.

An Israeli plane has targeted Syrian army positions in the Hama province, killing two servicemen and causing material damage, Syrian general command said in a statement.

The incident took place early on Thursday, when an Israeli aircraft launched several missiles from Lebanese airspace, targeting Syrian Army positions near the city of Masyaf in Hama province. The attack killed two servicemen and inflicted material damage, SANA news agency reports, citing Syrian general command's statement.

Syria's general command has warned of "dangerous repercussions of this aggressive action to the security and stability of the region" while reiterating its "resolve and determination to crush terrorism and uproot it from all the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic" regardless of the terrorist groups' allegiances and sources of support.

The Israeli Army has declined to comment on the incident, according to Reuters, as it does not comment on "operational matters."

Nikki Haley: Heartthrob of the neocons

Nikki Haley
With the eviction of Steve Bannon and Sebastian Gorka from the inner precincts of the White House and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson besieged and taking fire from virtually all sides, neoconservatives - even the NeverTrumpers among them - must be quietly harboring renewed hopes that their restoration may soon be within reach.

And, as should become clear Tuesday, those hopes reside largely with the Trump administration's ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, who's been on a tear against Iran for several weeks now. Her campaign culminated recently in her unsubstantiated claims-in contradiction to the most recent findings of her own State Department and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), not to mention Washington's P5+1 partners-that Tehran is not in full compliance with the two-year-old Iran nuclear deal, otherwise known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Best of the Web: Agents of Terror on Government Payroll - Part II: Ali Mohamed

Editor's note: Read this article and extrapolate to many other alleged 'Muslim terror masterminds'. Most likely, all of them were, in one way or another, assets of US intelligence agencies, tasked with creating the 'reality' of a terror threat to the USA in order that the US government could respond by invading and occupying nations around the world as part of the long war against Russia and China and securing the Middle East in particular for the 'new American century'.
FBI terror plots
A Notorious Terrorist, a Major in Egypt's Army Intelligence, a CIA Operative, a Member of the Elite Green Berets & an FBI Informant

Let's say a script writer approaches a Hollywood production company with a proposal for a realistic spy-action thriller that features a dark action hero who is a Major in the Egyptian Army's Military Intelligence Unit, who is selected by an Elite Special Forces Unit in the United States Army, simultaneously gets recruited by the CIA as an operative, teaches courses at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, and is on the FBI Payroll. Then he triple crosses the Elite U.S. military Forces, the CIA and the FBI, uses his U.S. military information to train al-Qaeda and other radical Muslim militants, becomes Bin Laden's bodyguard (all this while he is still on the payroll of the U.S. military, the CIA and the FBI), blows up U.S. embassies around the world (while still on the triple payroll) - is the most dangerous man in the world according to the U.S. Justice Department. Then he gets caught, is tried and indicted in a secret U.S. court behind closed doors, yet manages to evade sentencing, skips jail, and continues his terror operations around the globe.

What do you think the production company's response would be? An unrealistic, far-fetched delirium, probably imagined and written while under some sort of psychedelic drug?

What if I were to tell you that everything in the script above, and some more, is a well-documented, government-confirmed, real life case?

U.S. is beset with politically uncivilized people

The leaflets distributed by U.S. forces in Parwan province, north of Kabul, on Tuesday depicted a lion, representing the U.S.-led coalition, chasing a dog with a section of the Taliban's banner, containing a passage from the Koran in Arabic superimposed on its side.
WaPo - Sept 6 2017
The "passage from the Koran" on the Taliban banner is the Shahada, the central creed for every Muslim: "There is no god but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God." It is hard to believe that trained U.S. psychological warfare elements distribute such blasphemy out of ignorance and without specific intent.

Comment: America the bully feels it has no need to have any knowledge, let alone respect for the cultures of other sovereign nations. And they wonder why they can't 'win the hearts and minds' of those countries.

China loans Guinea $20 billion for infrastructure in exchange for minerals

bauxite minning
Having already taken over Venezuela with billions of pre-petition Debtor in Possession loans to the soon to be insolvent nation, China has franchised its model of financial colonialism, perfected over the decades by the IMF and World Bank, and on Wednesday agreed to lend Guinea $20 billion for 20 years in exchange for concessions on bauxite, an aluminum ore of which the West African country has vast resources the country's mines minister said.

Having bypassed conventional international lenders such as the IMF for various reasons, the African nation demonstrated that when it comes to commodity-rich African nations, the (financial) world is unipolar, and the pole goes right through Beijing.
According to Reuters, the projects guaranteed by the loan included China Power Investment Corp's (CPI) planned alumina refinery and Aluminium Corp of China's (Chalco) bauxite mine and another bauxite project by China Henan International Cooperation Group, all of them in the northwestern town of Boffa.

"Those are the three projects targeted as priorities for the first phase," Mines Minister Abdoulaye Magassouba told Reuters. "The revenues these projects generate will serve as reimbursement for the loans."
