Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw, in her first COVID-19 update since June 29, announced Wednesday that starting Aug. 16, people who test positive for COVID-19 will not be mandated to quarantine anymore, but the province will recommend it.I find far odder the fact that so many people want to give him so little credit. I realize Stew Peters is flamboyant, but our whole society exists on flamboyance. So what's new? Where did this paucity of spirit among humans, who need to unite and fight some extremely powerful individuals shaping our lives, arise? We are a strange species.
Additionally, Albertans with COVID-19 symptoms will not be asked to get tested, but to stay at home until they feel better.
Two weeks later, COVID-19 tests will only be available to people who need to go to the hospital or see a physician.
The Government further stated, Mr. King has “no evidence” showing that “the evidence sought from the CMOH is likely to be material” [legal term for meaning relevant and related] to the provincial court ticket received. “It is clear that Mr. King seeks evidence relating to the rationale for orders issued by the CMOH under the Act: he seeks evidence about the ‘Crafting of the statutes’,” stated the Government’s Affidavit. There do not appear to be any critical admissions by Dr. Hinshaw about the SARS-CoV-2 virus and this document has been prepared by the government’s legal team, not Dr. Hinshaw. When I first read about this, I commented here about Mr. King's (and Peters') unawareness of things of precedential value, rules of evidence and procedure, etc. What stands out above is that he claimed that the government said THEY had 'no evidence', while the above indicates that the 'no evidence' claim was the government's claim directed at HIM!
There is no indication that Mr. King’s case is connected to the relaxing of Covid restrictions in Alberta which fully opened on July 1, 2021. The Government of Alberta states they have opened the province due to achieving the government’s stated goal of 70% of Albertans receiving their first vaccine. Whether that is the reason, or there are other reasons, remains to be discovered in future court hearings.
Paucity of spiritI too wondered. Maybe some have become so cynical so suspicious that even good news is doubted. I am of the other extreme. My gut feeling is that many of these comments are being made without knowing all the facts of the matter; But thanks to all for the great research.
