Reagan, in spite of his many faults, was exactly right with his "Trust, but verify" philosophy. However, in the case of Huawai (and many others), the "trust" part should not apply at all. The problem is that it's extremely difficult to thoroughly verify electronics & embedded S/W developed by others.
