Concealer-in-chief?

The great battle to delegitimize and possibly unseat President Trump appears to be coming to a head - in its current phase anyway. Speculation in Washington has reached fever-pitch over when Congress will publish the apparently damning contents of what has become known as the 'FISA Memo'.

According to those who have viewed it, the memo exposes collusion between the FBI and the DOJ to frame Trump for 'colluding with Russia'. Its publication would put an official seal on what most already know: that 'deep state' actors used the infamous Steele Dossier as a justification to spy on and undermine Trump, his campaign, and then his presidency.

A groundswell of support for Trump has seen viral a campaign for declassifying and releasing the memo so that 'Russiagate' is laid to rest. But the DOJ, as well as the Democrats and their obliging media spin-masters, have been doing their level best to suppress its release and downplay its significance. The twists and turns in the Deep State vs Trump just never stop!

You can't be this dumb. The tax cuts will not help anyone but the elites! Tax cuts for the normal little guy? Vanishingly small and will end after a year or so. the cuts for the DOGS at the top are permanent. The cuts don't help small business! How dumb to not see that Goldman Sachs pulls his strings now. This tops it. it's obvious the talker has no idea about 'left' and 'right'.. at least in the States. This is the exact opposite of the truth. I can't even recommend these pods to other people anymore. Damn.

A lot of the editorial comments are so off-base that I wonder if they are getting talking points from Michael Savage or Alex Jones....

I tried to explain that tax cuts are on profits in chat.

It doesn't encourage investment in business because labor and equipment are already written off as an expense and taxes not paid on.

Lowering taxes on profits just increases the amount of money the corporations can take out of the business without needing to reinvest.

The only reinvestment goes to the stock market. In small business the money goes in the owners pocket. Again, it does not help incentivize spending on the business.

And in states with high local taxes, this new tax law caps the amount of local taxes that can be deducted, raising taxes on middle class who own homes there.

Lowering taxes on profits just increases the amount of money the corporations can take out of the business without needing to reinvest.

And you're saying this is what every corporation (big or small) in the US is going to do with the extra income they get from the cut in taxes on profit? Not one of them are going to give raises or expand and employ more people?

Employing people is an expenditure and gets written off. Tax cut doesn't help there. You pay taxes on what you take in minus what you spent on the business. The extra income as profit is taxed, why would you put that back into the business when you could have written that off before deciding the profit?

Raises/ salaries and equipment are deducted and don't get taxed... Taxes are on the money that is essentially taken out of the business (and go to owners, shareholders)
