Ahead of my trip to Germany to take part in the Summit of the Group of Twenty, I would like to share some thoughts about cooperation within the G20 framework with the readers of Handelsblatt, one of the most popular and reputable German newspapers.

Over the years of its existence, the Group of Twenty has established itself as an important mechanism for aligning the interests and positions of the world's leading economies. By taking coordinated action, the G20 contributed to the adoption of necessary measures that not only helped overcome the financial and economic crisis, but also laid the foundation for improving global governance, which has found itself in dire straits for a number of reasons. Importantly, by working together we have been able to find solutions to a number of long-standing issues.

The Vietnamese and American navies have begun their eighth annual Naval Engagement Activity (NEA) in the coastal Khanh Hoa Province, days after a US vessel sailed past a disputed island in the South China Sea.

The NEA officially began on Wednesday when the USS Coronado and USNS Salvor ships docked at Cam Ranh International Port. Over the course of five days, crews from the two countries will practice diving, salvage, ship handling, medical evacuations, and the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES).

Ashore, skill exchanges will be held focusing on shipboard damage control, shipboard medicine, and law. According to an official press release, there will also be "formal office calls, band concerts, community relations events, and team sports."
"The United States values our comprehensive partnership with Vietnam and we look forward to deepening our relationship and people-to-people ties through engagements like NEA," Rear Admiral Don Gabrielson said in a statement. "By working and interacting together regularly we foster meaningful relationships and trust between our nations that contribute to the peace and prosperity of the region."

Pentagon will delay Afghanistan troop death announcements

Deaths of US troops in Afghanistan will no longer be reported right away, but after a delay intended to inform their next of kin first. The new policy was enacted by the US commander in the country, according to several media outlets.

The change was not officially announced, but rather inferred from this week's statement about the death of Private First Class Hansen B. Kirkpatrick, 19, of Wasilla, Alaska. Kirkpatrick died from injuries he suffered in a July 3 attack in Afghanistan's Helmand province, but the Pentagon did not make that public until July 5.

Previously, US forces in Afghanistan would announce the soldiers' deaths in a brief statement, and release more details - such as the service member's name, age, rank, and unit - 24 hours after notifying their next of kin.

US expands military footprint in Syria to 8 bases, 'modifies' Kobani air base

US troops
"The US is setting up its military bases in the territories that were liberated from Daesh by our fighters during the fight against terrorism," ~ Senior Representative of the US armed, proxy, SDF forces.

With very little fanfare from the western media, the US is quietly creating a hostile military footprint inside Syria.

By establishing a chain of airbases, military outposts and missile bases inside Syria, the US is illegally, stealth-occupying a sovereign nation. The number of US military installations in Syria has increased to eight bases according to recent reports, and possibly nine according to one other military analyst.

Trump on allegations of Russian interference in US election: "Nobody really knows for sure"

US President Donald Trump has said that "nobody really knows for sure" if Russia was behind the hacking during the 2016 US election. He spoke during a state visit to Poland, just hours before his first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Asked if he can definitively confirm Russian interference in the 2016 election, President Trump was somewhat vague.
"Well I think it was Russia and I think it could have been other people and other countries," he said. "It could have very well been Russia but it could well have been other countries and I won't be specific but I think a lot of people interfered."

"Nobody really knows. Nobody really knows for sure."

Comment: That's quite a far cry from "17 intelligence agencies all confirm Russia hacked the US election," a claim which has since been retracted by the media and was actually not true according to James Clapper's testimony to the Senate. CNN President Zucker pathetically plays the victim card - "Trump is trying to bully us"

CNN President Jeff Zucker
In classic liberal left fashion, CNN President Jeff Zucker is playing the victim in a scandal plagued week that has seen CNN's ratings hit rock bottom.

CNN's list of fake news, harmful, and insidious reporting is too long to list, but here are just a few examples...
  • CNN pushed a fake news narrative of Iraq WMDs leading to millions of dead in Iraq.
  • CNN pushed a fake news narrative of Syria "moderate rebels" which lead to the rise of ISIS, the destruction of Syria, and a migrant crisis.
  • CNN pushed a fake news narrative of "Trump-Russia" collusion that a CNN producer admits is bulls**t.
  • CNN pushed a fake news Russia hacking narrative that almost pushed two powers towards WW3.
  • CNN pushed a fake news narrative of "hands up don't shoot".
  • CNN pushed a fake news narrative about the Aleppo boy being a victim of Assad, to propagandize for the invasion of Syria.
  • CNN said it was illegal to read Wikileaks.
  • CNN cut off guests who even mentioned Wikileaks.
  • CNN cut off guests who mention a link between refugees and terrorism.
  • CNN pretended its own camera man was a Trump protestor.
  • CNN commentator gave debate questions to Hillary Clinton in advance.
  • CNN told debate focus groups what to say to make Hillary look good.
  • and so much more...
In a recent interview with the New York Times, CNN President Jeff Zucker refused to apologize for his network's fake news, bias reporting, or even for threatening to extort and blackmail the Reddit user who posted the Trump "wrestling" gif.

Putin on creation of universal cyberspace norms: "Digital freedom shouldn't mean impunity"

President Vladimir Putin has praised the G20 push against cybercrime and urged the leaders of major economies to draft international norms and regulations, under the auspices of the UN, that would not infringe on civil liberties.

The G20 summit taking place in Hamburg will see an unprecedented drive by the world's largest economies to establish a joint coordinated effort to tackle cyberattacks on the global banking system.

Cross-border cooperation in dealing with the ever-growing risk of cyber intrusion was placed on the G20 agenda by the finance ministers of the respected countries in spring, following an $81 million cyber heist of the Bangladesh Central Bank last year.

Putin has welcomed the G20 thrust to combat cybercrime, as long as it does not infringe on civil liberties.
"We consider it highly important to protect human rights in the information space. At the same time, freedom in the digital sphere, just like in any other, should by no means be replaced by permissiveness and impunity. This leads to a rampage involving cyber-criminals, hacker groups and all those who encroach on the privacy of individuals or the sovereignty of states by using cutting-edge technologies," Putin said in an article published in the German business newspaper Handelsblatt.

Theresa May's speech could have been from Hitler's 'Mein Kampf', says senior Lib Dem

One of Theresa May's first speeches as party leader has been likened to Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' by Liberal Democrat leadership hopeful Vince Cable.

The former Business Secretary launched a scathing attack on May's first Conservative Party Conference speech last year, where she told attendees that "citizens of the world" are actually "citizens of nowhere."

Cable, whose late-wife Olympia was originally from Kenya, hit out at the remark.
"It could've been taken out of Mein Kampf. I think that's where it came from, wasn't it? 'Rootless cosmopolitans'?" Cable told the New Statesman magazine on Wednesday.

"It was out of character for her."

Manipulation versus information: How the Western media revises reality

War is Peace
© George Orwell/1984
The goal of informing an audience is straightforward and employs equally straightforward methods. The goal of manipulating an audience, however, is more complicated. It involves not only manipulating the current facts, but also reaching back and forth through time to revise both distant and recent history.

A recent example drawn from Bloomberg, illustrates how this process is done as the Western media works to target and undermine one of many nations slated for Western-induced political unrest and regime change

Rewriting Reality Regarding Thailand's Rice Crisis

In 2011, the US-backed political party of Thaksin Shinawatra bought off voters with promises of unprecedented government handouts, including unheard of subsidies promised to the nation's rice farmers. The predictable result was a glut in rice supply, immense corruption as the Shinawatra government attempted to move the rice as prices crashed, and the incremental collapse of Thailand's long-standing, well-established position in global agricultural markets.

US General Vincent Brooks threatens North Korea: 'Self restraint is all that separates us from war'

Kim and Trump
US General warns, America is prepared for war in North Korea: "Self-Restraint is a choice."

After North Korea's launch of an ICBM, that demonstrated ability to strike the continental United States...General Vincent Brooks, Commander of Combined Forces Command and General Lee Sun Jin, Chairman of the Republic of Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff, issued a stern warning to the North Korean regime.

The allied forces are prepared for war at any time, with only "self restraint and patience" holding back an all out assault on North Korea...
"Self restraint, which is a choice, is all that separates armistice and war. As this Alliance missile live fire shows, we are able to change our choice when so ordered by our Alliance national leaders," said Gen. Brooks. "It would be a grave mistake for anyone to believe anything to the contrary."

"Despite North Korea's repeated provocation, the ROK-U.S. Alliance is maintaining patience and self-restraint," said Gen. Lee. "As the combined live fire demonstrated, we may make resolute decisions any time, if the Alliance Commanders in Chief order. Whoever thinks differently is making a serious misjudgment."

Comment: The US and its allies are allowed to be provocative, but North Korea is not allowed to demonstrate that it can defend itself. Rank hypocrisy as usual from the US war whores
