OF THE
TIMES
Reality is (and always was) much more complex. It's only in relatively recent times that we learned that all people are human, one species. I think it's more a question of what it means to be human and showing our 'humanity' in not judging others and their 'normalcy'.That sounds very new agey, and it is wrong. Not all people are alike, not by a long shot. A normal human being is almost another species altogether from a psychopath for example, and there are other types of abnormal people. Then there is the difference between Pre-Adamic Man and Adamic Man.
It certainly doesn't help to have some small study suggesting that there is something else wrong about not fitting into the traditional two sexes. What is , IS . The truth is more valuable (to some) than some new age utopia.
Conformity is so medieval. Let's lose the torches, the tar and feathers, and the unkindness.
No, I stand by my remarks. If it sounds "new-agey" to you, that's not my problem. But thanks - dunno how many super-annuated new-agers there are out there. There has been a lot of research into psychopathy, and they are very different to a normal human being. Brain scans show vast differences, and the instinctive substratum is very different. Why not look into this and find out for yourself? History and the world today confirm this.
Who said all people are alike? I said we're one species. Is there evidence that psychopaths are not genetically human? 'Abnormal' requires a definition of normal , something cultures are happy to provde whether accurately or not. In the 50s, psychology often considered anyone outside the middle-class mainstream as mentally ill.
It's only in relatively recent times that we learned that all people are human, one species. I think it's more a question of what it means to be human and showing our 'humanity' in not judging others and their 'normalcy'.Well, you said that all people are human, one species. So, one shouldn't judge the actions of cold blooded psychopaths that do much harm to others? That sounds new agey to me. The world of a normal person, and the world of a psychopath is vastly different. One normal, the other abnormal, from a human perspective.
And what the hell is Pre-/Adamic man?Why not look into this, and find out?
Truth is relative, IOW we only know part of it at any given time, and those known parts may or may not indicate the greater truth yet to be found.Wrong. Truth is truth, regardless of how you feel about it, or how much one knows, or not.
A study of 177 people does not necessarily provide earth-shaking revelations, and with the SOTT predilection to diss all non-traditional sex/gender issues, I have to be leery of its articles on the subject.Actually, there have been other studies that confirm this study.
Oh, and talking about humaneness shouldn't be utopian, good grief. But it is. Ignorance can be deadly, as history can attest to. When talking about the world's problems, and those that wish to improve these conditions, some knowledge of the world is a must. Then perhaps, one will look at it in a different manner?
Comment: There are many factors converging in our era that have led to the rise in gender dysphoria, from autism and social contagion to the corporations that profit from pushing these disorders, as well as the overall malaise that permeates Western society:
