Democrat activist hysterics: #Resistance holds 'Protect Mueller' rallies around the US in wake of Sessions resignation

Democrat activists groups have mobilized on short notice to hold rallies in cities across the US, demanding that the new acting head of DOJ recuse himself from overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller's "Russiagate" probe.

Mueller has been investigating Democrat allegations that Trump "colluded" with Russia during the 2016 presidential election, so far without any evidence to that effect. The probe was overseen by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, since AG Jeff Sessions had recused himself on account of being a part of Trump's campaign.

After Sessions resigned on Wednesday, however, his chief of staff Matthew Whitaker was appointed as acting AG, prompting panic that Trump was moving to quash the Mueller inquiry.

"This is the 'Break Glass in Case of Emergency' plan to protect the Mueller investigation," tweeted MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, promoting the rallies. "We knew this would happen at some point - the day has arrived."

On Thursday, thousands gathered at Times Square in New York City.

There was a protest in Boston, Massachusetts as well.

"Save Mueller" signs were added to the ongoing protest in front of the White House that began in July, organized by former Hillary Clinton aide Adam Parkhomenko.

What's a good analogy?

A move which might throw a speed bump in front of a go-nowhere investigation into a make-believe allegation, creates active hysteria among a group of people who really, really want to believe in tooth fairies.

I remember when Oliver Stone appeared on the Daily Show to promote "The Putin Interviews", the audience was simmering with disdain. They believed so fully in the Evil Russia narrative that they were willing to cast aspersions upon a highly accomplished and otherwise respected film director, one who was, if not the most intelligent, easily among the most intelligent people in the studio or perhaps even the whole building that day, and yet who still had the humanity to look sheepish before the crowd's disdain. -He obviously didn't want to be shunned and cares about his social status in the tribe, which demonstrates true courage in his trying to engage in an act of journalistic integrity in the face of popular disapproval from a propagandized mob.

The only reason people hate Russia today is that they can't stand to admit that Hillary Clinton lost because she deserved to. It's not about reason or top level cognition. It's about base level ego; avoiding admitting that one was wrong.

Liars seem foolish and noxious but generally avoidable at the personal level, but when you take delusional cowardice in aggregate, you end up with cataclysm!

So NOW we decide to give the UN validity? Which is it? Do we defer national policy to the UN, or leave that to the US electorate? Genuine...
