Syrian First Lady, Asma al-Assad is all class; all beauty; all grace; all humanity.
Despite being in the middle of her own struggle with breast cancer, Syria's First Lady has gone to a children's cancer hospital in the Damascus suburb of Jaramana to spend the first day of Eid al-Adha with Syrian kids fighting off the deadly illness and support them in their battle. They hugged and they laughed. They played games and they talked. They shared stories of their hardships and prayed that they would get better-for themselves, their families, their friends and their nation on top of it. The smile of the Heroine of Homs has never been more incandescent. And having the reciprocated cheesing of these little ones had to make not just her day but her whole LIFE as well as that of President Assad's.
Jaramana, which is home to an eclectic and vibrant mix of Syrians, Palestinians and Iraqi refugees of all sorts, has long been the target of Takfiri terrorist groups and their Zionist backers. Car bombings repeatedly and brutally rocked the town in late 2012 and of course, Hizbullah Commander and legendary Anti-Zionist struggler Samir Quntar (R.A.) was assassinated there by 'Israel' on December 20th, 2015. So
to see these shabab with nothing to focus on but getting better-because their city is free of terrorism and repeated 'Israeli' aggressions against it have been foiled by Syrian air defenses-is a major blessing. Survivors of Takfirism. Survivors of Zionism. And insha'ALLAH before they know it, survivors of cancer too.
Lest we forget all the propagandists of the Zionist media who have smeared and insulted First Lady Asma over the years, decrying her as "disconnected from reality" and "detached from her citizens". Proven yet again today, she, like her husband, is every atom-sized bit a person of the people-as much as one could be and even more than that multiplied a few hundred times.
She's in the trenches, not in an ivory tower. She's with the poor and the sick, not the neoliberal, neo-capitalist muckety-mucks. She's in Syria, with Syria, for Syria, of Syria and by Syria. Not the West. Not the Gulf. She's a revolutionary, not a princess. She's the Sapphire of Sham, not a ZOGistani tool. And besides... Who gives one iota of a damn about whatever trash the mouthpieces of Empire Judaica's press are spewing when you have the love and solidarity of these youngins-HER youngins, the youngins of Syria- here? Masha'ALLAH.
They probably never imagined to see Syria's First Lady today. And Asma likely never expected a welcome warm enough to melt the first annual snow in Qalamoun. Or maybe she did! Because
everyone loves her! Both Syrians and Mouqawamists worldwide! Either way, we pray sincerely and amply for their healing and hers and also pray that by next Eid, their bodies will be totally cleansed of anything malignant. Just like Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Damascus, Homs, Lattakia and Daraa are totally cleansed of terrorism. Long live Asmad al-Assad! And long live the resilient children of Syria!
