A bizarre creature filmed 'hovering' in the street has caught the eye of conspiracy theorists - who believe it could be an alien .
The odd object was reportedly filmed by CCTV cameras in Diyarbakir, Turkey, before the video was shared thousands of times online.
The grainy footage shows the weird creature, only thought to be about a foot tall, moving slowly around the street.
At one stage, the creature rises into the air, appearing to hover there for several seconds before landing back on the road.
Hovering: The odd object appears to float through mid-air
Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for YouTube viewers to start guessing what the creature was, with some claiming it was simply an oddly-shaped balloon.
But others weren't so convinced: "Wow!!! I say no way that's a balloon."
Another said the creature cold be extra-terrestrial, writing: "Look, it's an alien!"
Other viewers claimed it could have been a penguin, but couldn't explain how it managed to hover in mid-air.
Obvious answer if you are right. Your theory offers no evidence or proof. So it's just someone talking. Is it an alien? Maybe. Is it what you said? Maybe. Is it something else? Maybe.
It's unwise to jump to conclusions without evidence. It's also unwise to assume the conclusion you jumped to should be expressed to others with no evidence.
1, Why do you speak of merely, AND ONLY, what I spoke of? After all, the 'floaty' nature of the alleged 'alien' damn sure points that way - or haven't you noticed it? After all, a majority of commenters did.
2. You say we shouldn't comment because of lack of evidence, while here you are commenting on my falsely alleged 'lack of evidence' when it's the article's lack of evidence that caused me to point out it's very lack. this is called 'argument directed at the argument, rather than at the 'ultimate issue' at hand. {Aka, begging the question.)
3. So where are your arguments about the "NO EVIDENCE" you claim exists? I dealt with every bit of what little was there to provide, what YOU rightly* characterize as a "theory", as all 'theories' merely are. I deal with the sundry, tiny bits of relevant and probative 'evidence' and then YOU indict me because I have 'no evidence." What a f*ck farce!
Where's your 'evidence?" Why the hell do you even to bother to write if only to BITCH, not about the facts, nor the limited evidence but to instead to BITCH at moi, though most others made same comments re fakish floatiness/ lack of walking out to 'check it out' - Or would you be scared of a balloon and wind powered doll? (Those come from others who see the same fakeness involved. Are you saying you do? or you don't? Oh, I forgot, you DO NOT COMMENT ON THE LIMITED FACTS, BUT BITCH ABOUT OTHERS WHO QUESTION THEM
it? So why not try to 'tackle' the article's very lack of same - which I note rather than BITCH about my, (YOUR -for once correct - 'THEORY?)
I was wondering for a while why who ever was taking the picture didn't race out and investigate, until I figured out that it was a picture of a picture (CCTV?) and it looks like there original owner of the footage has been blanked out (the red blur).
My guess is that it is a mylar balloon with a long string attached to it. That string got caught on a power line or something else that is above the street. A nice breeze picks up and, whammo, instant 4th dimensional alien.
I think the focus should be the way it hovers and moves. Now, can any object on a ballon hover above the ground and then roll back, then forward like it did in the video? That would be difficult to control; there seems to be no visible winds in the video. It does seem like something that is suspended on what could be a spring.
Very bizarre upon first glance but hard to determine over such grainy video. It's anyone's guess!
Doesn't seem to respond to wind like those super-light floating foils or bags or those new machine-generated shiny flying foams trendy nowadays. Much like an intelligent entity looking around for something. A snake should have a characteristic wavy motion in its upper body and head as it moves. This one appears ignoring our usual laws of physics.
It could be a plastic bag.
