Rare Giant Oarfish are washing up on California shores. Now, according to the Japanese, these fish are warnings of impending earthquakes! Which California is definitely past due for!
I have to agree with you, I couldn't finish watching. That's too bad really, while she might be catering to the younger, need to have the news jabber-talked to me generation; I think that she is a little too over-the-top for anyone who wants the information simply because they are concerned.
This is a very serious topic and I, personally, don't feel that this style of 'journalism' really expresses that seriousness.
I mean, she made a joke about taking her top off. I'm confused.
Just so I don't get caught in the 'this is important so let's take the message for what it is" snafu, I will say this:
Anyone who lives near the coast of the western US should be prepared for a disastrous quake, like we haven't been preparing for that eventuality all along. Honestly, the idea that we are overdue for a large quake is not a new one.
I've lived in California my whole life and I can honestly say that the one thing that we ARE prepare for is earthquakes.
In this particular case I would say that it would be ok to shoot the messenger.
Truth is SIMPLE . . . .
It's the lies, deceptions, distortions that are complicated . . . .
Perhaps the Billions of tonnes of radioactive jumping beans that have been mixed into the Pacific Ocean from fuku-shima is too simple to trace (well it is invisible) or even imagine that its the feed that John West would reject! I'm reading resident and fisherman reports that the Pacific Ocean food chain hierarchy is disintegrating on the ocean floor, so the fish go mad while they starve, that makes sense. but like I have observed all the Pacific Ocean fish specie mass die offs, that are increasing every week now, the highly unusual once in a lifetime events are always taken in by the government for scientific tests to find out the cause of this phenomena . . . . Always news stories of "taken to the lab for testing" results are either never reported or this phenomena is a mystery that is so damn complicated, our most richest & best scientists just can't figure! go figure! . . . . the truth is simple . . . .
Earths oceans are screwed...
The U.S.Army now admits that it secretly dumped 64 million pounds of nerve and mustard agents into the sea, along with 400,000 chemical-filled bombs, land mines and rockets and more than 500 tons of radioactive waste - either tossed overboard or packed into the holds of scuttled vessels...The chemical agents could pose a hazard for generations. The Army has examined only a few of its 26 dump zones and none in the past 30 years.
some of the chemicals the Army have dumped include...
Mustard Gas...Even slight exposure leads to deep, agonizing blisters that appear within four to 24 hours of contact. If it gets into the eyes, they swell shut, and blindness can result. If inhaled at high doses, the respiratory system bleeds internally, and death is likely....
Nerve Gas.....The most deadly of chemical warfare agents, one drop of nerve gas can kill a person within a minute. Death comes through seizure......
Lewisite... like mustard gas......
Phosgene....combines with water in the respiratory tract to form hydrochloric acid, which dissolves lung membranes............
Cyanogen Chloride.....skin quickly turns cherry red. Seizures follow within 15 to 30 seconds, accompanied by vertigo and vomiting. Death is likely in six to eight minutes.......
Hydrogen Cyanide.... better known as Zyklon B... the "Nazi Gas"
White Phosphorus......Breathing it in small doses can cause coughing or irritation of the throat. Eating or drinking it in even small amounts can cause stomach cramps, vomiting, drowsiness and death.
variable amounts of packaged low-level radioactive waste (LLW) have been dumped at more than 50 sites in the northern part of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. In 1946, the first sea dumping operation took place at a site in the North East Pacific Ocean, about 80 kilometres off the coast of California. The last known dumping operation was in 1982, at a site about 550 kilometres off the European continental shelf in the Atlantic Ocean..
”Although dumping radioactive wastes at sea from ships is now banned, paradoxically the discharge of radioactive wastes into the sea via pipelines from land is not,” -- Mike Townsley of Greenpeace.
an emergency at the unstable Fukushima Nuclear Plant less than an hour ago is responsible for dumping “thousands of tons of highly radioactive material into the Pacific Ocean -Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe....
I could keep going on but i think you get the idea.... Humans do not respect that oceans shouldn't be used for chemical biological and radiological waste...... It boils down to Capitalism and Cronyism...... Rich narcissists thinking they deserve to do whatever harm they want to make money because they are the priveleged class...
I forgot to add Corexit 9580 was used during the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill disaster in Alaska. Corexit EC9500A and Corexit EC9527A were used during the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
The use of Corexit is approved in the US by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
This decision was called into question in 2013 following a report by the Government Accountability Project alleging "devastating long-term effects on human health and the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem" stemming from the use of Corexit.
It has also been found that Corexit increases the toxicity of oil by 52 times...
Earthjustice and Toxipedia Consulting Services conducted the first analysis of the 57 chemicals found in Corexit formulas 9500 and 9527 in the summer of 2011. Results showed the dispersant could contain cancer-causing agents, hazardous toxins and endocrine-disrupting chemicals.[37] The analysis found "5 chemicals are associated with cancer; 33 are associated with skin irritation from rashes to burns; 33 are linked to eye irritation; 11 are or are suspected of being potential respiratory toxins or irritants; 10 are suspected kidney toxins; 8 are suspected or known to be toxic to aquatic organisms; and 5 are suspected to have a moderate acute toxicity to fish”.[38]
Chemist Wilma Subra expressed her concern about the danger of the Corexit-crude mixture, telling GAP investigators, “The short-term health symptoms include acute respiratory problems, skin rashes, cardiovascular impacts, gastrointestinal impacts, and short-term loss of memory....long-term impacts include cancer, decreased lung function, liver damage, and kidney damage
BP admitted to polluting the Gulf Ecosystem with at least 1.8 million gallons of Corexit.... Their daily public reports stated they never used more than 3,300 gallons a day during clean up efforts although emails to Congress report usage of up to 14,000 gallons a day so the total stated amounts used are most likely significantly lower than what was actually used.....
MOST annoying voice I have heard in a while.
Couldn't finish watching. What people to for their 15 min.
