Just to clarify, I'm not a superstitious tin foil hat wearer, I don't believe this is the HAARP, the earth moaning, aliens, the Russians or anything like that. But the noises were strange and unexpected.
I was woken up at about 4:30am on the 29th of September by incredibly strange noises. Really far away but really atmospheric. They sounded like single engine aeroplanes flying over and massive drills but that doesn't seem logical. Too loud and too far away.
My neighbour across the road also heard the noises, along with my friends that live locally. But oddly enough a select few of my friends didn't hear anything but their dogs were going mental.
The noises stopped at approximately 4:50am. Police sirens could be occasionally heard up until 6am (when I finally managed to fall back asleep) but nothing has been reported on the local news website or paper.

That one was CREEEPY! No wonder the ancients created legends about earth dragons awakening! They were probably hearing stuff like that.
