I had a very hard time watching the youtube version, it is super choppy. The google video version doesn't seem to have that problem.

Part 8 light appears?

on part 8 on ca 2:43 a light appears on the right of the tower moves to the left until 2:55 what is that ? a helicopter or something else?

I just have to say

that this is by far the most accurate documentary done on what was happening on the ground that day.

I was two blocks east from the towers that day and this series portrayed what was going on physically and emotionally in me. It captured slightly that the wtc was not just a series of office buildings, but that the area surrounding the towers was also a community hub with farmers markets, music/cultural activities, a shopping mall and subway hub.

What many people (who are not familiar with this part of NY) don't know is that there was also a glass encased overpass that led from the towers to the park across the highway. This park also had several playgrounds and various activities for children and the community in general.

After 911, for me, there was no going back there. Not just because there was no reason to (I was taking a child to that park for play dates) but also because I almost didn't want the past memories to be clouded by whatever changes had now occurred.

What this documentary also captures is the changing state of mind I went through as events unfolded. The initial concern for the people in the first tower, the realization after the second tower events that cemented the thought that for most of us at that point that we were under attack. The mounting chaos and fear of not knowing what to do yet wanting to do something. What seemed like an endless wait for further instructions. The fear that whatever building you were in could be hit as well (whether deliberately or accidentally). Having a small child in the house and not wanting them to know what was happening yet wanting to know for yourself. The fear of knowing/experiencing the towers coming down and the ensuing darkness. Being caught in that darkness and not being sure if the towers were falling in your direction.

This documentary also included the person I was working for at the time and the small child I was taking care of. This further brought back memories.

All of this makes me incredibly sad and angry. The entire thing one traumatic show. All of us unwittingly playing our parts while those who orchestrate it sit back and laugh.
