The Israeli regime is cynically using "humanitarian ceasefires" as a way of luring Palestinian civilians into further killing zones with the diabolical aim of "improving" its genocidal operation, which has been dubbed with the Orwellian name "Protective Edge."

On Friday morning, the Tel Aviv administration of Benjamin Netanyahu had declared a 72-hour truce. But the so-called cessation of Israeli violence was no reprieve for the death-trapped Palestinian population. Far from it.

In the next hours more than 40 Palestinians were slaughtered when Israeli tanks and soldiers started firing on the Rafah Crossing on the Gaza border with Egypt.

In another location, near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, a whole village was flattened by Israeli tanks, also on Friday. The number of dead is not yet known but media reports described the "stench of death everywhere."

In other words, a day of supposed "peace" was just another day of killing, wounding and destruction by Israeli forces.

The term "humanitarian ceasefire" is yet another Orwellian misnomer that means the opposite in reality. As noted in an earlier column, the Israeli forces are using these periods for reloading and refueling their killing machine - with fresh supplies from American government arms depots in the region.

This is the third time that the Israeli regime has declared a truce since it began pounding the Gaza Strip on July 8. Why bother calling these meaningless ceasefires?

Israel's False Flag Operations Know No Bounds

One thing that truly made me ill while perusing the photos of the world-wide anti-Israel protests in the last few days is the repeated use of Hamas flags/posters, as if Hamas is somehow fighting for the freedom of the Palestinians. Give me a god damn break...

For those unaware, Fatah and the Palestinian Authority were the government of Palestine until the Israelis invaded, only leaving in 2005, when Hamas had been secured in power. And hey presto! they are still the ruling party in Palestine!

Not only that, but all the Hamas fighters have (wisely) holed up and hidden themselves in anticipation of the Israeli massacre. Gee, how very convenient for them that the Israelis are content with killing 1.3 million civilians (the population of Gaza)...

The Israeli Mossad (their CIA) created Hamas in 1987, with the frontmen Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Yassin and Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, because, as Zeev Sternell, historian at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, says: "Israel thought that it was a smart ploy to push the Islamists against the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO)."

Well ain't that something? So, the Mossad starts Hamas, with the original "intention" of being a charitable organization to the Palestinian people. And charity they did. Slowly, of course, it turned into a political and military organization, which was the true original intention. It challenged Fatah and the PLO as it does to this day. Divide and conquer: the oldest military tactic in the book...

Venezuela's foreign minister says an initiative to send relief aid to Gaza is a "testament of solidarity" with Gazans being "massacred" by Israel.

Venezuela's foreign ministry opened its doors to donations of humanitarian aid for Gaza on Thursday.

Contributions from the public will be accepted at the foreign ministry's headquarters in Caracas, Foreign Minister Elías Jaua stated Thursday morning.

"Until Sunday, we will have the doors open to make contributions, especially medicine, non-perishable foods, blankets [and] sleeping mats," Jaua stated. Donations will be airlifted to Gaza next week, according to the foreign minister.

Over a year ago I published an essay entitled 'The Linchpin Lie: How Global Collapse Will Be Sold To The Masses'. This essay addressed efforts by the ever malicious Rand Corporation to create a false narrative surrounding the possibility of global collapse. Linchpin Theory, as it was named by it's originator and Rand Corp. employee, John Casti, is I believe the very future of propaganda. Every engineered crisis needs a clever cover story, and in Linchpin Theory, we are told that all human catastrophe is a mere natural product of the "overcomplexity" within various systems.

Yes, there is no accounting of false flag geopolitics or elitist conspiracy, no acknowledgment of deliberately initiated chaos; such things do not exist in the world of "linchpins". Rather, the Rand Corporation would have us believe that the world is a massive game of Jenga, and the supporting pieces just remove themselves from the teetering structure by magical and coincidental causality.

Today, the linchpin lie is now being carefully inserted into the mainstream narrative. I can't say I was shocked to hear Alan Greenspan use its basic premise when he recently stated that:

I have come to the conclusion that bubbles...are a function of human nature. We don't have enough observations, but my tentative hypothesis to what we're dealing with is that both a necessary and sufficient condition for the emergence of a bubble is a protracted period of stable economic activity at low inflation. So it is a very difficult policy problem. I do believe that central banks that believe they can quell bubbles are living in a state of unrealism.

It is important that we understand what Greenspan is actually doing here. The former Fed chairman is asserting that economic bubbles like the derivatives bubble of 2008 are a "natural function", like the seasons, and are out of the control of central bankers. The truth is that central bankers have never tried to "quell" economic bubbles, they have been deliberately creating them in order to position the global economy into a crisis which they can then exploit. Greenspan is not only diverting blame for all the past and future economic crashes central banks have engineered, he is also setting the propaganda stage for a great change in the dynamic of the central banking concept - what the IMF's Christine Lagarde calls the "global economic reset".

This week we took take a closer look at the chaos unfolding in Ukraine and Gaza, placing both conflicts in the wider political context of the modern history of both the Middle East and Russia.

In 1957, President Eisenhower addressed the US public:

If the United Nations once admits that international disputes can be settled by using force, then we will have destroyed the very foundation of the organization and our best hope of establishing world order. Eisenhower was referring to the 1956 Suez crisis, when France, Britain and Israel invaded and occupied the Suez canal, parts of the Sinai and Gaza. Gamal Abdel-Nasser, the charismatic and Pan-Arab leader of Egypt, had nationalized the Suez Canal on the 26th of July 1956. This especially antagonized Britain and France, and France was already wary with Nasser over his support of Algerian fighters. As scholar Avi Shlaim writes, on the 24th of October 1956 in Sevres, France, Britain and Israel met for secret talks to plan to attack Egypt. The goals included capturing the Sinai and Suez Canal, as well as toppling Nasser's government.

And on 29 October, Operation Kadesh began with the invasion of the Sinai by Israel.

Some 200 people have been granted passage into Tunisia through the Ras Jedir border crossing, before Tunisian officials again closed the border after just a few hours, as heavy fighting rages in neighbouring Libya.

Tunisian citizens as well as foreign workers from Egypt and Libyans fleeing from the violence were allowed passage during a short period on Saturday, even as 10,000 to 15,000 remain stuck in the border, Al Jazeera's Ruli Amin, reporting from Ras Jedir, said.

Our correspondent said that the border crossing was "much more under control" compared to Friday, when hundreds of mostly Egyptians trying to leave clashed with Tunisian police.

The United States intends to provide $19 million to bolster Ukraine's military operation, which pro-Kiev authorities conduct against militias in the southeastern regions of the country, Pentagon Press Secretary Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby said.

Kirby said the money was intended to provide training for Ukraine's National Guard forces, in particular to train four companies of soldiers and a headquarters element.

The high-ranking US military official said the United States was supporting Ukraine with non-lethal aid.

"We are not assisting them with issues of targeting," Kirby said. "We continue to review requests for military assistance from the government of Ukraine through an interagency process."

The European Union has "quietly" agreed to lift restrictions supplying Kiev with military technology and equipment which can be used for the "repression" in the country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"During a recent meeting of the Council of Europe in Brussels, leaders of EU member states agreed 'on the quiet' to remove restrictions on exports to Kiev of equipment that could be used for internal repression," the ministry said in a statement on its website. "Exports of military technologies and equipment were also allowed."

Moscow slammed the move as "contradicting the rules of military technologies and ammunition exports which have been earlier applied by the EU" and also "pierced" by double standards.
