KRG PM: Iraqi Kurds will push for independence once Mosul is freed

Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) prime minister says the Kurds will renew their push for an independent state after Mosul is liberated from IS — which may take up to three months, given the quick gains made on the approaches to the city.

In a Friday interview to the German daily Bild, Nechervan Barzani said Kurdistan's authorities are set to renew their push for independence once Mosul is retaken from terrorists.

"The time has long been ripe for it, but we are currently concentrating on the fight against Daesh," Barzani said, using the Arabic pejorative for Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group.

Soros' deep influence on Killary called 'serious cause for alarm'

The close relationship between Hillary Clinton and billionaire globalist George Soros came into clear focus when WikiLeaks released emails from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.

Clinton rarely mentions Soros's name publicly, but the emails released thus far show the billionaire's deep influence on the Democratic nominee. His name comes up nearly 60 times in the email exchanges.

Soros has donated nearly $11 million to Clinton's Democratic presidential campaign and three main super PACS — USA Action, American Bridge 21st Century and Hillary for America, according to an analysis by Rowan Scarborough for The Washington Times.

The new revelations show Clinton "has aligned herself closely with a vision for America laid out by Soros, who talks of 'international governance,' more open borders, increased Muslim immigration and diminished U.S. global power."

Jewish journalist targeted by haters: 'Personally I was glad to see the outpouring of anti-Semitism'

Julia Ioffe
Julia Ioffe
Last week the Anti-Defamation League released a report about the frightening trend of anti-Semitic tweets aimed at Jewish journalists. Last night one of those journalists, Julia Ioffe, said she was "personally glad to see the outpouring of antisemitism" because it restored Jews' status as a persecuted minority.

Ioffe, a columnist at Foreign Policy and contributor at Politico, spoke at the Temple Emanu-El in New York, as interlocutor for Jeffrey Goldberg. "Both Jeff and I have been the subject of really surprisingly vicious attacks on social media," she said. "As a pessimistic Soviet Jew, I always felt this was there."

Car bombs, vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices, and a means to combat them

militant vehicle-borne improvised explosive device
A militant vehicle-borne improvised explosive device is moving to the Syrian army positions on October 27, 2016
On October 28, Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian Al-Qaeda branch) and its 'moderate allies' launched a fresh full-scale offensive in order to break the siege from militant-controlled areas of Aleppo city.

Since the start of operation, the joint terrorist forces have been massively using car bombs (also known as vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices or suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive devices).

The usage of car bombs remains a significant threat to the Syrian government forces and has already allowed al-Nusra & Co to achieve some gains in western Aleppo. How this strategy can be countered? SouthFront has the answer.

Western leaders cry 'Worst War Crime Ever', blaming death of 22 schoolchildren in Syria on 'Russian airstrike'

idlib school
© Russian Defense MinistryDrone footage of the school after the attack: no evidence of airstrikes
The Western media seizes every chance to twist the truth in favor of another round of Putin bashing as its worn out flimsy excuse to escalate further hostilities against Moscow in order to trigger World War III. The pathological liars of the West never fail to deceitfully add fuel to their propaganda war machine fire. The latest hype is blaming a Russian airstrike for destroying a school in the rebel held Idlib Province in northern Syria, killing 22 children and six teachers.

Immediately the UN, being the imperial vehicle it is, through its Children's Fund (UNICEF) - for added sensational effect, no less - began opportunistically milking the tragedy for all it's worth, denouncing the killing as "an outrage" and probable war crime, adding that it's the deadliest attack on a school in the near six year Syrian conflict. What's being left out of this heavily biased narrative is that the war in Syria was maliciously started by the United States, specifically the CIA funding protests in 2011 (actually as far back as 2005) targeting Assad as part of its infamous Arab Spring uprising in accordance with Empire's illegal regime change policy. As an independent, secular leader unwilling to succumb to Empire's pressure to allow a 2009 proposed Qatar gas pipeline to Europe be built through his country, the fixated neocons have been gunning for Assad's removal ever since.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov explained that after closer examination and careful analysis, the video released to Western media allegedly depicting the airstrike in Idlib Province consists of more than ten separate pieces of footage fragmented together. Thus, it appears to be a hoax designed to incriminate the Russian aerospace group for killing innocent kids. He added:
As one can see on a photo from the Russian drone, the roof of the school is not damaged and there are no bomb craters in the area adjacent to the school... All this means that the UNICEF leadership fell victim to a new deception of swindlers in White Helmets. That is why, before making loud statements, UNICEF officials should check sources of their information in order not to undermine the reputation of a respected organization.

Killary campaign reels under FBI inquiry into Anthony Weiner 'illicit emails' to minor - hard drive may also contain more classified info

Hillary Clinton called on the F.B.I. to clarify the details of its investigation, saying voters deserve to get the "full and complete facts."

The presidential campaign was rocked on Friday after federal law enforcement officials said that emails pertinent to the closed investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server were discovered on a computer belonging to Anthony D. Weiner, the estranged husband of a top Clinton aide.

In a letter to Congress, the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said the emails had surfaced in an unrelated case, which law enforcement officials said was an F.B.I. investigation into illicit text messages from Mr. Weiner to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina. Mr. Weiner, a former Democratic congressman from New York, is married to Huma Abedin, the top aide.

Mr. Comey's letter(pdf) said that the F.B.I. would review the emails to determine if they improperly contained classified information, which is tightly controlled by the government. Senior law enforcement officials said that it was unclear if any of the emails were from Mrs. Clinton's private server. And while Mr. Comey said in his letter that the emails "appear to be pertinent," the F.B.I. had not yet examined them.

By the end of a day that brought stinging criticism of Mr. Comey from both Democrats and Republicans, he appeared on the defensive, saying in an internal email to bureau employees that he had felt obligated to inform Congress, and "we don't know the significance of this newly discovered collection of emails.''

Bill and Killary 'have the worst judgement': Close adviser slams Clintons in latest Podesta email leaks

Hillary Clinton
© Carlos Barria/Reuters
WikiLeaks has released the 22nd batch of emails from the account of Hillary Clinton's campaign chair, John Podesta. To date, the whistleblowing site has released 36,190 emails, with around another 14,000 expected before Americans go to the polls on the November 8.

It was revealed in mails released on Friday that Podesta had been warned in March 2016 to change his email password "immediately" as someone had illegitimately attempted to gain access to his account.

In another email from March 2015, on the same day that the right-wing Likud Party, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, won a surprise victory in national elections, Clinton adviser Neera Tanden told Podesta that "Israel is depressing."

The worst judgement

In an email to Podesta in February 2015 titled 'Brock/Bonner,' Clinton adviser Neera Tanden includes a link to a Washington Post article about donors delaying their pledges to pro-Clinton Super PACs until she announces her White House bid.

Although not mentioned in the article by name, Tanden describes major donors David Brock and Mary Pat Bonner as "a nightmare."

Chicago Tribune op-ed: 'Democrats should ask Killary to step aside and let Kaine run'

Hillary Clinton
© Jewel Samad / Getty-AFPHillary Clinton answers questions about the FBI reopening a probe into her use of a private email server on Oct. 28, 2016.
Has America become so numb by the decades of lies and cynicism oozing from Clinton Inc. that it could elect Hillary Clinton as president, even after Friday's FBI announcement that it had reopened an investigation of her emails while secretary of state?

We'll find out in a little more than a week.

It's obvious the American political system is breaking down. It's been crumbling for some time now, and the establishment elite know it and they're properly frightened. Donald Trump, the vulgarian at their gates, is a symptom, not a cause. Hillary Clinton and husband Bill are both cause and effect.

FBI director James Comey's announcement about the renewed Clinton email investigation is the bombshell in the presidential campaign. That he announced this so close to Election Day should tell every thinking person that what the FBI is looking at is extremely serious.

Comment: It also suggests the possibility of a concerted effort to bring down Killary before the election.

This can't be about pervert Anthony Weiner and his reported desire for a teenage girl. But it can be about the laptop of Weiner's wife, Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and emails between her and Hillary. It comes after the FBI investigation in which Comey concluded Clinton had lied and been "reckless" with national secrets, but said he could not recommend prosecution.

So what should the Democrats do now?

Comment: Desperate times, desperate measures! You know the Establishment's worried when calls for Clinton to step aside are being made so close to the election. What a catastrophe this is building up to be... for them.

"Bill Clinton Inc." leaks dog Killary campaign

Bill Clinton Hillary Clinton
Candidate is battered by daily WikiLeaks revelations about the Clinton Foundation

Daily revelations from a top campaign aide's stolen emails are frustrating Hillary Clinton's attempts to make closing arguments and guard her lead over Republican Donald Trump in the waning days of the 2016 presidential election.

The latest ABC News tracking poll shows Mrs Clinton holding a 6 percentage point advantage in a four-way contest with Mr Trump, the Libertarian party's Gary Johnson and Green party candidate Jill Stein.

But the WikiLeaks organisation has been releasing daily batches of emails pilfered from the account of John Podesta, the chairman of the Clinton campaign and a former White House chief of staff, that reveal the sometimes fractious inner workings of the former secretary of state's campaign.

Comment: "Pilfered", "fractious". FT certainly has the kid gloves on when handling the torrent of information detailing the maelstrom of corruption surrounding Slick Willy and Killary. They did forget to mention that Podesta lost his own poorly-protected phone which had the dirt on it. Kinda like Killary's home-brew server, when you think about it.

Podesta emails reveal aides had access to his email accounts, lost phone but didn't change passwords, and other security breaches

The emails reveal the overlap between the Clintons' charitable foundation, Mrs Clinton's work as secretary of state and her husband's for-profit speechmaking. At the centre of the latest controversy is Doug Band, president of the consultancy Teneo Holdings, who filled multiple roles as an aide to the former president. Republicans have accused Mr Band of acting as the ringleader of a "pay-for-play" operation that solicited foundation donations from companies that were also pressed to hire the ex-president for paid speeches.
