Society's Child
The clip shows the child's parent looking on in horror as the feathered beast, one of the world's deadliest birds of prey, apparently snatches the boy and lifts him a few feet off the ground.
Footage then shows the eagle dropping the child, whose name and age are unknown, on the grass a few feet away.

Well I create CGI as a living and this looks incredible if its fake. The angle of the shadow of the approach is right, so is the angle of departure. The shadow also has the same texture as the background shadows. The moment of the snatch the kid and the eagle react properly, so do the corresponding shadows. The camera-mans reaction seems pretty normal, as does the father since he was busy with something else.
As for the shadow disappearing, I can tell you from experience when you shoot digital film outside and zoom in like that, there are all kinds of video glitches unless you have a very high resolution digital camera. As for the baby not reacting, well it happened so fast its perfectly understandable.
Of course the possibility exists that this is fake, I guess the story of the boy who cried wolf is relevant here. With so much fakers in our society the one time we might be seeing something real we are naturally drawn to the question of its authenticity.
To me it looks real, and it's a fact that birds of pray will attack little toddlers. Just think if this is real, the extraordinary symbolism of it.
One thing though, what the heck is up with the chariot of fire song? Must be a french thing.
The camera mans reaction is too calm.. The father reacted too slow... All things that are unlikely to happen if this was real.
Also what are the chances that someone has a camera handy and is filming when an eagle is just about to snatch a baby?
Looks very real.
I think the "looks fake to me" folks are jumping the gun.
The eagle's flight path was followed all the way through to actually picking up the child, then dropping him/her, probably due to the fact that she/he was too heavy.
Has verisimilitude.Music weakens it
Golden Eegles are HUGE and there are numerous stories of similar events. I've videotaped them when I've seen them. Who wouldn't? Also, the camerman's reaction, to forget the frame begin running and say "oh my God" is appropriate.
It seem like it should be easily provable. Ask the family, etc. Torn jacket, claw bruises, etc. (So sad one has to worry about that. The MSM lies for so many reasons. Ever met anyone who, upon looking at WTC 7 says, "Oh, that's easy to fake" and walks off before his self delusions are shattered? If this is a fake, that would be its purpose. For those who want to disbelieve WTC explosions, etc etc. ad inf, if that's the case, the proof of the fakeness will quickly be found and trumpeted far and wide.)
As far as I can tell, though, it seems real to me.

They may not have reacted instantly but think about it, who bring his kid to a park in a big city and think about watching for prey birds stealing their babies? There must have been this fraction of a second of wtf-ness before they acted.
Anyhow, my 2 cents.
I just think this is HIGHLY suspicious.
Why was the kid sooo far away from the dad? He looked like a toddler that could barely walk. Why would the father take him out the pram, place him meters away from him "OUT IN THE OPEN" turn his back to him?
Coincidentally, at the same time someone is stood at the right angle to capture an eagle fly in for the snatch...
If it is true that an eagle is truly majestic in flight, I expect to see other people who have videos of this event..
Until more videos come out, this whole thing remains in the suspicious, not to be blindly believed box!
Also all the people there barely made any noise or commotion after the event... I mean, the kid had just been snatched by an eagle, it's not something you see everyday!! People would have run en-masse to see if he was ok!
Finally, why doesn't the father PICK UP the kid and HOLD HIM TIGHT after he has fallen to the ground, check for injuries etc etc?
Pfft, anyways... just saying.
Probably the best documented and authenticated record of this sort of thing happening in the past occurred in Norway in the 1930's involving the slightly larger and more powerful Sea Eagle. From The Guinness Book of Animal Facts and Feats -
"Although many lurid stories of eagles carrying off human babies or young children have appeared in print over the years, most ornithologists tend to look upon such accounts with suspicion because eagles normally kill their prey before bearing it away. At least one case, however, has been fully authenticated.
On 5th June 1932 4-year-old Svanhild Hansen was playing in the yard of her parents' farmhouse in the small village of Leka, a few miles north of Trondheim, Norway when a huge white-tailed sea eagle suddenly swooped down and carried her off.
The bird headed for its eyrie, which was located 800ft (244m) up the side of a mountain more than a mile (1.6km) away, but in the end the load proved just a bit too much for it and the child was dropped on a narrow ledge about 50ft(15m) below the eagle's nest.
The frantic parents immediately organised a search-party from the village and, guided by the eagle which was still soaring over the high ledge, they eventually found little Sanhild asleep and unharmed, except for some scratches and bruises.(Storer, 1963)."

...is that it's from a school in montreal that does fake hoax videos as a contest, not to mention the idea was taken from The Proposal.
I can't vouch for either claim - sorry - but IMHO, the bird splits from reality at 8 seconds, with a very slippery turn. I don't see motion blur on its shadow, which is usually indicative of 'movie magic'
Anyways a quick google search and voila!

"UPDATE: A blog post on the Montreal animation school Centre NAD website claims that the video was a hoax created by their students. The post states:
The “Golden Eagle Snatches Kid” video, uploaded to YouTube on the evening of December 18, was made by Normand Archambault, Loïc Mireault and Félix Marquis-Poulin, students at Centre NAD, in the production simulation workshop class of the Bachelors degree in 3D Animation and Digital Design."
Now, all believers PLEASE re-examine your BELIEF-STRUCTURE!

"the News DOESNT lie!" should be reconsidered considering the MSM does lie ALL the time!
Pretty sure this is CGI
